Best breakfast we ever had! We took my husband for his birthday and we love it!
Foos is delicious and they have a lot of options, including GLUTEN FREE!
We love it!!! Highly recommend
I recently visited Hula Poke Bowl in Metrotown and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was clean and had a bright, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offered a great variety of options, catering to all dietary preferences with vegan and gluten-free choices. I ordered the classic poke bowl of the Koko with salmon, Kimch, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The ingredients were vibrant and well-balanced, and the portion size was generous for the price.Service was top-notch; the staff was friendly and quick to help me customize my bowl exactly how I wanted it. I also appreciated the speedy service, as my meal was prepared in just a few minutes. For those visiting for the first time, I highly recommend trying the spicy Gochujang sauce—it added a perfect kick to the bowl. Overall, Hula Poke Bowl is a great spot for a healthy and delicious meal in Metrotown. I'll definitely be coming back!
The chef is not only Gluten intolerant himself, but us an absolute artist.
My wife and I were in Vancouver for a few days while I took care of a couple of business meetings, and we happened to stumble across La Fontana Caffe while looking for something that would appeal to both of our tastes while also having at least a couple of decent Gluten Free options.
Reviews said they could make special gluten free dishes, I was skeptical, but when I asked the chef, who I believe is the proprietor because of his passion for his craft and customers, he said all of the sauces are made from scratch and are gluten free, and though the home made pastas are not, he imports the gluten free pastas from Italy mostly to avoid cross contamination due to the gluten in the fresh pastas he makes daily.
Portions are generous, flavors are to die for, coffee drinks smooth and rich without being bitter or too sweet (Carmel machiato). Plus, they have fresh baked gf desserts too!
Bottom line, this reminded me of a little Cafe I used to frequent when I spent a year in Sicily, except they didn't speak English, and they probably would have kicked me out if I asked for gluten free pasta.
Tucked in Burnaby is this East African Indian fusion place. Great pakoras, lamb biryani and beef ribs. Plenty of gluten free choices. Great service too. Not disappointed at all. No photos to show as we dug into the dishes as soon as they were served.
On behalf of Morley PAC I want to thank Fior Di Latte for catering an amazing lunch for our teachers and staff. Working with FDL was an easy, pleasant experience. They were able to accommodate several dietary requests including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. Everything was packed beautifully and delivered on time. I had many staff and teachers tell me the sandwiches and pastries were delicious. Thank you again for helping us show our appreciation for Morley Admin, Teachers and Staff.
I got the pasta chicken Alfredo with gluten free noodles and it had a good flavor. There wasn't much sauce, not sure if they didn't mix it or what, but many of the noodles were plain and it was hard to mix. But what *was* mixed was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not too tough but still a little charred. I got my food to go, but when I was in the restaurant the vibe was kind of depressing, couldn't exactly say why. The staff were kind and helpful. Ordering online was easy and pick up was a breeze. It's a great gluten free option, especially if you're in a time crunch or on a specific schedule.
Fast friendly service and good food. Lots of choices for gluten sensitive and vegetarian. Only a few for vegan. Our server Saad was great! We didn’t wait long for on a Sunday brunch.
The highlights of this cafe are definitely the ambience, seating space, and hours. I come here fairly often as it's the only place in the area that offers those things, so it's great to have something like this in the neighborhood. The staff are always friendly and they keep it pretty clean. I would avoid coming here on weekends as it's insanely packed and incredibly noisy. The food is pretty mediocre and definitely overpriced, drinks are ok and on the sweet side. If you have dietary restrictions, particularly with gluten, you will not find much here.
My personal hangups-- They don't seem to update their playlist, so if you come here with any regularity bring headphones or you'll be listening to the same 15 songs every time. And it's usually cold inside, but it's a big place so I'm sure heating is not something they want to spend on.
I placed an order over the phone for two fettuccine's one being gluten free. I was pleased at how friendly the young girl was, her customer service was great and she was very quick to bring out our order and notice our vehicle outside.
The portion sizes are great, the gluten free noodles are very good too.
I've never taken out at this spot before but I will definitely be back the next time I'm looking for some good ol' fettuccine

The vibe and service are great, so is the food! Ordered gf pizza, mango coconut drink, raspberry drink, Parmesan fries, and crème brûlée 🍮 loved it all!
Hayley is excellent!! She advised me with deciding from the happy hour menu, and dessert as I have gluten allergy. She is pleasant, attentive professional with a smile, courteous, and made my experience of meeting a friend after a long time so enjoyable 🤗 Good luck Hayley! 🎊
Delicious tortilla chips that are made in house, and gluten free. Also bought corn tortillas, and queso fresco. Great placebo buy supplies if you’re making Mexican cuisine !

The menu showed gluten free items. However, when we arrived, they were not able to accommodate whatsoever for people within our party that had celiac. The service was also very poor, with minimal attention being put on our table, and the staff had little-to-no knowledge of the dietary restrictions at our table.
The space of the indoor and outdoor seating areas are also not the best, making it hard for anyone taller than 5'9 sit at the tables that are quite tight.
Overall, one of the poorest restaurant experiences I've had in a while. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE WITH CELIAC.
I absolutely love Coras. The food is always a 10/10. When I visited on a Tuesday they were under staffed and clearly busier then expected but our server took it in stride and I was very pleased with her positive attitude. Super kid friendly environment and great kids menu to. They've also updated and changed their regular menus as well with vegan and gluten free options as well. I'll definitely be back!
Extremely fun and clean restaurant. Some gluten free GF options available. Food is fresh and flavorful. I went for dinner and breakfast and all options are really fun. I would get there early or make a reservation for dinner
I'm celiac, and while they can't guarantee zero cross contamination, I felt very looked after.
Staff has been trained, and steps are in place.
I had nachos and some drinks. They were delightful. Our server was attentive and kind.
I'd come back for the peace of mind alone, so tasty food is a big bonus!

Not a student, but my husband and I love coming here once a month.
Easily the best buffet in the city. $23 for non students ($13 for seniors and guest at the hotel) will get you consistently well made meals from all over the world, on a rotation all day, every day, there is something here for everyone - literally. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, kosher, halal and they can cater to even the most specific dietary restrictions.
Most of it is self serve, but there are parts like the pasta bar, burger and hot dog station, noodle, and rice stations where the staff will prepare your meals right in front of you. Staff are also always nearby to help.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, with mostly students just chatting, studying while they eat etc. Always plenty of seating available too.
Micah took care of us tonight. Very patient with our one million questions, very knowledgeable about the menu and her gluten free suggestions were spot on. And yes the rose she suggested, delightful. Thank you Micah!
We just went for coffee and a cookie. They had a gluten free option as well which was good. Staff was friendly! We'll come back some time to try their food.
Couldn't sit outside unfortunately as they were working on their food truck which was very noisy.
Aidan our server managed a great table of crazies (our table) with ease and knowledge, the manager handled our gluten free birthday cake we brought in. Safe to say we were well taken care of 🍻
Food was great by the way
Always reliable, I've never had a problem with wait times or the staff - everyone has done their job properly. I like that I can get a gluten-free meal here (too bad they don't have gluten-free toast, that would be so easy to do). The portions are standard and I've never left hungry. It's a Family Diner, so it's not Haute cuisine but it's always tasty. Good hours a good location. I hope we don't lose it when Burnaby decides to ruin that neighborhood including the mall.
It's a really good place, to have a dinner and stay for hours on the table slowly eating and having a good time with your friends. I do recommend the experience.
Also, they have gluten free options in the buffet.
Went here for a dinner during a conference. We were a large crowd and they had the space reserved for us. Food came slow and we weren't quite sure what else or how much more would be coming. It was very yummy and we had tons of food left over to take with us. The servers were not always able to answer our questions about the food, perhaps a language barrier (some of us were vegan or gluten free).
