For a celiac in Indonesia, where often even a simple plate of rice can hide sauces full of flour and contamination, this restaurant was a real revelation.
It made me rediscover the pleasure of food.
I will start by saying that I almost never choose Italian cuisine when I travel abroad, but this exception was surprising.
Forget the stereotypes of the "Italian restaurant abroad": here there is an alternative concept, quality dishes with fresh pasta, exquisite meat and even homemade bread.
Celiacs can smile:
• Gluten-free pizza with an excellent dough based on selected flours
• Excellent quality gluten-free pasta, with a lot of choice
• Homemade gluten-free bread, prepared directly by chef Enrico
Even the coffee is well beyond the standards... Italian!
And then there is Enrico, the chef and owner: kind, welcoming and passionate. He accompanied us in choosing the dishes and made us taste his extraordinary gluten-free bread.
Highly recommended. An unforgettable restaurant.

We had a superb dinner at Lemongrass last night. Our waitress, Ayu was super friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about what I could order being coeliac. We had the chicken satay, pad Thai, green curry and fried rice, and every dish was amazing. The best Pad Thai I’ve ever eaten, even better than in Thailand. The green curry was also so tasty, we loved every bit of our meal. Better yet, we left feeling great, even though we were full the meal was not super heavy and no gluten reactions whatsoever. I was put at ease with their great knowledge of gluten free and ensuring there was no cross contamination. I can not recommend Lemongrass highly enough! Thank you, from Megan.

A real let down unfortunately, when it came to allergies (gluten-free diet) there were minimal options, I was only offered the grilled fish options as well as the standard nasi goreng
Their vast selection of meals from classic aussies paramas to italian, greek souvlaki, japanese sushi, mexican tapas (the biggest menu I have seen at any balininease eatery) and none of the above options were able to be made gluten free
They mix flour in the beef nachos and there was flour in the Japanese sushi???
It was exhausting trying to ask why and what flour hence my automatic response to order a gluten free nasi goreng - flavourless and bland (gluten free doesn’t mean no flavour)
with 2 dry chicken skewers, no peanut sauce or a substitute gf sauce

Nice family place to eat. Great for gluten free. Went after reading reviews on a coeliac blog and safe to say I was not sick at all after eating. Food was great quality for the price. Veg and fish were very fresh. Recommend the good gado and the Spanish mackerel. Happy hour good value for bintangs. Will go again for sure. Staff were nice but we did have to ask a few times for drinks etc.
