This place is so amazingly good! I have to avoid wheat, so I ordered the chile relleno which is gluten free, their ranchero sauce is made in house, incredible! The pintos, oh so good, the service, the decor, and there are so many gluten-free dessert options, the lemon cheesecake Takes the Cake :-) thank you!
It was my turn to pick where my girlfriend and I went for date night and because she can’t have gluten I searched gluten free and saw this place. I was so impressed with how they presented themselves online I took her here. We stayed downstairs and the vibe there was just wonderful and perfect. Our servers name was Randy who was by far the best server I have ever had in my life. We was super nice, really attentive and excellent all around. Now let’s talk about this food, my girlfriend and I ordered the wagyu beef meatballs For the appetizer and the entrées were the filet mignon and the steak fries. The food was cooked to absolute perfection. I we are eating we both were already talking about what we were going to have the next time we come here. Definitely the best of the best eating experience of my entire existence.
Definitely the best place to eat in Long Beach. Unmatched service, many food options, including gluten-free, delicious, with little waiting time and ideal to attend with family and friends.
I have celiac and the menu is somewhat labeled with gluten free options, however the server was unsure about if their chips were fried in a shared fryer. I asked him to check with the kitchen and he didn’t - kept saying “should be fine to eat”. Regardless the meal I got was delicious.
Great little stop for brunch. They have great options and gluten free options, but it's hard to resist the pancakes and french toast. Service is fast and friendly, and the portions are good.
My family is in town every few months. This became a favorite place for breakfast.
They have gluten free options, fresh fruit, and plenty of other items to bring us back.
So happy we stumbled upon this place! Visiting from out of state and reviews raved the gluten free pancakes and waffles so I had to check it out!
If you’re celiac it’s a must! Servers were personable & friendly! Met the owners and expressed they take the food allergies seriously which is every celiac’s dream! Pancakes were absolute fire - great flavor & NOT DRY! A definite must check out!

I have a gluten allergy, and it can get challenging to find a pizza crust that isn't weird and soggy. LW Pizza did not disappoint. I ordered a cheese pizza w gluten-free crust, it was amazing, and they'll deliver to you at the bar across the way. The cheesecake is basic, but if you need a slice in a pinch, there ya go. Yaaay us!!!
Called to find out about gluten free options and the server was more then happy to answer all questions I had and accommodate our needs to the best of their ability. One member in our party is vegetarian and we were pleasantly surprised at the variety of options for them as wel. Despite all our different dietary needs, we all had fantastic food, great service and the mellow vibe of the restaurant made for a great breakfast. Thank you to the staff and cooks.
An out of the way spot that my friend has been going to for years❣Glad we were finally able to try it! The owner is very accommodating on food limitations and l have plenty. Every one in my group of 4 loved their dish and were they were overwhelmed with the dessert! Four beautiful fruit filled crepes drizzled with chocolate sauce! It was a treat for me to eat a gluten free crepe filled with Lox and spinach with a delicious pesto sauce, heaven 😋 l will take pictures the next time l go which I hope will be soon🎉
Great little restaurant. Laid back style, polished service, and great food. Appreciate that the gluten free pizza dough is higher quality than most restaurants.
Colombian restaurant with a small but diverse menu mainly geared toward gluten free dishes.
The menu is small and simple with dishes about the size of tapas. It is best to order several dishes and share them with friends.
The drink menu has a little bit for everyone with the house cocktails definitely worth a try.
As for the dishes, the chicken wings and fried rice are definitely two to get. For drinks I would go with the rum punch, but be warned..it is strong and packs a wallop.
Decor is nice, but sit away from the door on the cold nights.
Pretty kick A..spot, I loved the pizza, lots of selections even has Gluten free pizza for the celiacs, huge selections of bottled soda and huge variety of beers along with beers on tap and seltzer. The decor was pretty rad, they even have old school video games. Gets packed so get there early, parking can be difficult we parker down the street in paid parking structure. We will be back.
Have had great meals here in the past, but super bummed about how simple, boring, and dry the burger is now on the new menu!
Granted I always order it gluten and dairy free, but the older burger had sauces and fixings which still made it mouthwatering without the cheese. Now, not so much.
Not sure how common this complaint is given the dietary modifications, but it would be amazing to get a slightly more exciting and tasty burger back on the menu.
I love the steak and eggs breakfast. It’s gluten free, filling, and delicious. On this particular morning my steak was cold and a bit tough. I could have sent it back and I’m certain it would have been rectified but I was too hungry and didn’t want to wait. Nonetheless I still enjoyed my meal. The star of the show was the vegan Trea Leches Pancakes. I wanted a sweet treat after my meal so the waitress suggested I order it as a side (1 pancake ). It was so delicious!!! It is a must order!
I had the most amazing gluten free ahimsa burger at higher taste!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone! I'm so excited to try their other items, also the cookies are A+
Such a gem! The staff is so nice and makes you feel like part of the family, they give great insider reccos for the food and are just the right level of attentionate checking in to make sure you're good. Plus, they have yummy gluten free options 🥰 def put that blended melted butter/syrup on your buckwheat pancakes!
Street parking. It could take time to park during the busy hours. There is only one rest room. The service can be a little slow. The food is good and the price is average. They can accommodate gluten sensitivity
Ground Hideout is like a home away from home. I moved in a few blocks away during the beg of the pandemic ,and found this spot during one of walks. The family is beautiful and makes you feel welcome every time you come in. The drinks are delicious and creative, and they sometimes have vegan and gluten free options for their pastries!
The wait tends to be long. A little pricey. Better than Starbucks coffee but not better than independent coffee shops. Gluten free options. The food wasn't too sweet. Free street and on site parking. The atmosphere is busy and not very relaxing. Outdoor seating. Dog friendly.
We had the best server Ben F. I have celiacs and he went above and beyond making sure everything was safe. He also suggested a dish I would have never thought to order and it was divine I want the Romasco sauce by the gallon.
-I have a serious problem with gluten and unfortunately was served regular pasta noodles by the MANAGER.
-We were charged gratuity with a party of 7 when the menu states gratuity is applied to parties of 8 🙄
-No refills
-Kids never got the drinks that were supposed to come with their kids meals.
-Rude hostess
-Short staffed
-They put a layer of chips on the bottom of the calamari appetizer to make it look like a larger portion...so weird!
It's busy on the weekend. People write their names on the list. They can accommodate gluten free but not officially on the menu so not gluten free bread. It's not small but rectangular and seating is somewhat limited. Street parking. The service and food is good and the price is average.
We had such a lovely time here tonight. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. My husband and I shared a pizza and gluten free bolognese. We were both impressed by how well the gluten free pasta was prepared. Service was fabulous and we’ll definitely be back!
Free street parking. Some gluten free options. One restroom. Dining inside and on the sidewalk. People ofen order food and grab a table. The food is a little pricey but good.
The ambiance is soo chill. So many options for breakfast and brunch foods. Great gluten free options like acai bowls. The matcha bannana smothie was fire. Generous portions and the belgian waffle was so good i didnt even need syrup. I also recomend the sasage burrito it comes with super tasty homemade salsa. Friendly staff.
They have vegan and gluten free options for breakfast and lunch as they close at 2:30pm on weekends and 2pm on weekdays. Interesting atmosphere with retro memorabilia on the wall. Average price. The food was good but the breakfast choices were somewhat limited. The staff was courteous. They kept refills coming.
Delicious food with many vegan and gluten free options. Everything on the menu seemed very nutritious. My order didn't taste greasy or salty as restaurant food tends to be. Staff was friendly and accommodating to dietary restrictions. Will definitely come back here if I'm in the area again.
