This restaurant is fantastic. There are endless options for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and keto diets. We were visiting Ohio for a short period and came for dinner and ended up returning a different day for brunch. The lattes here are made perfect. Highly recommend the chicken wings and quesabirra tacos. If we ever make it back to Cleveland we will definitely be coming back here. The ambiance is awesome. Our server, Serena, was knowledgeable, attentive, and welcoming; she made our visit perfect.
We took a chance and stopped for brunch. Both of us are gluten free and the food was fantastic. The service was excellent as well!! Definitely recommend the brisket.
Went here for breakfast both days we were in Cleveland. Great little breakfast/brunch spot. The staff both days were top notch and the food was great! Plenty of gluten-free options and they even have dedicated equipment so there is no cross contamination between their regular meals and gluten-free meals.
Went here after finding out one of our favorite restaurants in Cleveland was closed. Was really looking forward to trying this place as we always go up to cleveland and pass this place. The only good thing about this place was the view from the table. Food was pricey, and the menu was hard to read if you didn't know Spanish. They do offer gluten-free and vegan options. The food was not as good as I was hoping. The meat in the tacos was really weird and tasted dried. One of the people I was with ordered the burrito which had bison shoulder in the burrito and said the meat was veiny. Our drinks were filled up once right before we left due to our waitor not wanting to come back to our table. The booth we were sat in had a big tear and was wondering how that was possible when the food was so overpriced. The plates that had our food was on was chipped in areas. Super disappointed! Will not be back!
They have Celiac safe gluten free options! The server was phenomenal! We loved her sense of humor and insight on various dishes and beverages. We will definitely be back!
Clean cozy and welcoming. Has a table for 8 plus a few smaller tables for 2. The price was average for a small Independent coffee spot. Gluten free bakery items on hand usually
Great food. Made fresh. Has gluten free and vegan options.
The bread and slather are always a great choice.
Offers a kids menu. Does sell alcohol. Nice small patio with picnic tables.
Service is hit or miss.
Can order take out.
Very cute place, I would love to hang out there but I was just moving through and grabbed a cinnamon sugar cookie that happened to be gluten free. If they make a cookie that dope, I figure I need to come back for some coffee!! It was THAT good! Thanks y’all ❤️❤️🙏
A cute taco place that has a build your own style of taco menu. This was my second time visiting while in Cleveland. I better understood what to order. I personally had a shrimp taco and the steak taco and a basic ground sirloin beef taco. Being gluten free I selected the gluten free corn hard shells. They were some of the best I've had. Both taco combinations I created were good. The shrimp I wish I would have gotten 2 of instead of the ground sirloin. I wasn't a huge fan of the meat. I am also very picky about my ground beef and it was not for me. I added the cilantro lime aoli cream and quesa fresca cheese to my shrimp taco. My only complaint would be, they barely put any cheese on it. I almost thought my tacos didn't have any on them. The steak was slightly tough but not bad. I probably wouldn't get it again. I'd definitely order the shrimp combo again and try another combination. They offer a lot of variety in meats and toppings for the taco. You can also get them in a bowl. I didn't order one but their margarita flights looked yummy. Definitely recommend this place if you are in downtown Cleveland.
My sister order the chips and queso dip and I tried the queso and it was good.

We went to cheese school at Astoria! The cheese monger was sooo knowledgeable and energetic. The service was great. They accommodated my gluten free request. A very fun and delicious evening!
We were in Cleveland for a quick trip and needed a good restaurant for gluten-free food. I googled restaurants on our path, and this restaurant was suggested. We arrived about 1pm and did not have to wait to be seated.
Our server, Bianka, immediately came to take care of us. She very thoroughly went over gluten-free options and even checked with the kitchen to make sure what we wanted was gluten-free.
We did have to wait a bit for our food, but when we got it, we understood. This was hands down the best lunch we have ever had. My mom had the burger and fries. She said they were the best fries she had ever had. I had the lamb stew, and I was in food heaven.
Overall, this was an amazing experience. We lived the atmosphere, our server, and the food. We will be back.
We enjoy coming here from time to time. In general, we’ve had good service, and the food has always been very tasty and reasonably priced. Parking is along the streets, but can be very close by. In nice weather, there is an outside patio area for seating under an awning, like many cafés in France. There are two main dining areas inside, a smaller cafe-like area and larger, more decorative dining room through a doorway. The dishes we had were not available in the selections list on Google. Those included le Champions (mushrooms) Bourguignon and the Crepe d’Ratatouille (vegetable stew) in a buckwheat crepe (gluten free). The latter has cheese, though I believe they would prepare it without cheese if asked. Our server was efficient and courteous. Getting older now and being later evening, I opted for decaf coffee, which wasn’t the best; it may be the worst thing I’ve had there, but is the exception overall.
I have visited Punch Bowl Social for the second time and I will definitely be returning again! The service is excellent and the food is amazing! They offer a wide variety of gluten-free options on their menu.
Travel from sandusky to get these tacos on the regular. Amazing tacos and the staff has always been super welcoming. My husband has celiac disease and has never had a reaction as well.
We decided to go for the two most decadent sounding appetizers. Both the Krab Fries and Fried Green Tomatoes were not only amazing, not only vegan but also GLUTEN FREE. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp, and the accompanying sauces and garnish were heavenly. The KRAB FRIES 🤤🤤🤤🤤🥲 literally brought a tear to my eye. I don't know what is in that cream sauce, but it tastes like the fanciest seafood chowder and really makes the dish. After devouring the generously portioned noshes, we decided to order the polenta grits and cheesecake to-go. Both were wonderful, and we will definitely return.
Visited Der Braumeister with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday - it was a great experience! She has a gluten allergy, and we were super excited to see how many options she had on both the expansive food and drink menus. Our dinners were delicious and our server Angie was wonderful.
Located in Ohio City just across the bridge from downtown jaja is not just a restaurant, it's a culinary experience and it's my new standard for what I think a 10/10 dining experience should be. The ambiance was mid century with South American flair all brightly lit and airy thanks to a full ceiling greenhouse roof that I'm told was retractable 🤯.
The service was impeccable, from the moment we got off the elevator we were greeted by the attentive wait staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu and offered genuine recommendations. Every aspect of the dining experience is thoughtfully executed.
The menu had so many carefully crafted dishes, even the flavors that would seem like a bad pairing melded together perfectly on the taste buds. I am happy it was a small plate serving style so we could try as many dishes as we could. I was most impressed with the goat cheese dates and Eggplant spread.
I would recommend jaja to anyone looking for a date night spot or a small group gathering, their menu also denotes which dishes contained dairy, gluten, and nuts.
Cafe inside Rays Indoor MTB Park was Gypsy Beans! Friendly staff at this location. Coffee was great. Gluten free options but nothing dairy free. They do have some vegan burrito but no idea what it consisted of. Baked goods looked SO yummy.
All around a great place for a casual dining experience. Love the food, especially the variety of burgers and unique toppings. Thank you for the gluten free options. They have awesome GF buns.
I love this place! The food here is extremely healthy and very accommodating to my dietary restrictions including gluten and dairy. The staff is so welcoming and nice and made the entire experience so much better. 10/10 would come back.
Great place with wonderful people. I go there quite a bit for their breakfast and am always pleased. My goto is the Marc's Brothers. They carry gluten free bread which is a rarity for most establishments. I must also admit their sausage is better than Bob Evan's! If you go you must try their pancakes and waffles as well. They are excellent.
In from out of town (Detroit) and the ambiance was a perfect combination of relaxed, classy and energetic. The food was delicious and offered tasty Gluten-free pasta options! Kayla, our server, was very friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome!
To top it off, the music and DJ was great! Will definitely come back!
Bonus…Woman Owned Business!
What a special place! We came for a medical visit and left with full bellies and happy hearts. Amazing service, above and beyond kindness and EPIC food! Gluten free magic too!
I absolutely LOVE it here. My husband and I just recently discovered 27 Club after picking up the latest copy of Scene Magazine. Due to medical conditions, I frustratingly have to avoid both gluten and dairy. This limits my options at most restaurants & cafes. When I saw the menu here, I was stunned. We got a Margherita pizza with vegan cheese and gluten free crust…it was the best I’ve ever had! My husband, who does NOT have dietary restrictions, said he couldn’t even tell that it was gluten free or dairy free. The drinks are gorgeous. I highly recommend the pink milk latte with oat milk! Make sure you pick up some merch and do not miss the vegan + gluten free desserts that are on the counter, off to the side. We tried the donuts and not only were they tasty, but they weren’t too heavy. I left feeling great. This is a must-visit for the sensitive stomach girlies! Parking is surprisingly decent for the location. Atmosphere is social media worthy and very on brand for MGK. Already looking forward to going back.
Everything here was exceptional!
The food , the service, and the atmosphere. The kitchen and staff went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy and even prepared GF bread to accompany my salad. Definitely recommend and hope to return soon
Good selection of German cuisine.
Excellent beer selection.
Excellent waitstaff.
Slightly overpriced for what you get but near to Playhouse Square so not unexpected.
Surprising amount of gluten-free items if that is your need or preference.
We were greeted by Danita who was very polite and welcoming. She made small talk and did he job as a hostess. Our server Laura, who was very attentive, guided us through the menu and also made sure to address my gluten restrictions. It's the small things that really speak volumes. The restaurant was pretty dead for a Saturday night. There were just two other tables besides us.
We started with the truffle parmessan
Brussel Sprouts and they were delicious. I ordered the Grilled Akura Salmon. I would say that it was a solid 6. Basically it's just a grilled piece of Salmon with asparagus on a top of a saffron corn cream which was not very flavorful. My friend got a black bean burger and she seemed to have enjoyed it. We also got a few drinks. Initially we got the turn which was okay. If you like a good balance of liquor to mix I would stay away from this. The simple syrup took over the flavor. My friend Initially ordered The Cle upon the servers suggestion but it was really sour. She ended up ordering Summer Thyme in Cleveland and she suggested that I bet the Blueberry Hill since the Turn was just subpar and I want drinking it. I told her that I was fine and didn't want to send it back but ended up ordering the blueberry hill which was really good if you like bourbon. Overall the experience and great and the atmosphere was very nice though people checking into the hotel did get a bit annoying.
We have had good coffee and scones and gluten free muffins here. We appreciate the local shop. We wish we could do self serve cream but otherwise it’s fabulous here.
If you have any dietary restrictions I would not recommend going here. I have dietary restrictions; no butter, gluten, potatoes and the chef was unwilling to change how she prepared the food per our server. They wouldn’t even change the potatoes for broccolini. Very disappointing as I am always up to try new places, but unfortunately they would not meet my dietary restriction needs. I will not be returning.
An absolute gem in Cleveland and my husband’s and my new favorite spot!
The restaurant was so accommodating to our party of four, and the decor and ambiance were incredible (even down to the details of the bathroom). We tried the Saz-Who drink, Caesar tartare, JoJos, pimento cheese, burger box, and the fried ice cream Almond Joy dessert (so delicious!).
As someone with a less adventurous palate, I was a little reluctant at first, but everything was AMAZING. We even plan to come back with my MIL who is gluten-free because they seem accommodating to GF folks. I love that everything is locally sourced—it’s such a cool touch.
Our server, Zaq (sp?), was incredibly personable, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell by his enthusiasm that he had a passion for the place, that is energy you don't usually see when you go out to dinner.
You can tell that so much heart and soul has been put into this place, and we’re so lucky to have it here in our city.
While visiting Cleveland, my group and I picked Heart of Gold randomly after a Google search of restaurants in the area, while looking for places that have vegetarian and gluten free options. The food amount is generous on every single entree we ordered, but the flavor has made it a must visit every time we are in the area. I had the couscous salad but had a concern that one of the ingredients would be too spicy (as I am quite intolerant of heat). The server (Gemma) said it wasn’t spicy but didn’t miss a beat and made it on the side so that I could judge if it was right for me. She was right about the heat, and the balance of acid and sweet was perfect! It also had the best combination of texture with soft, crunchy, and chewy elements. All but one of us (5 people total) had several requests for Gemma and she came through on every one including comping a drink when the one ordered wasn’t able to be made as listed on the menu and a substitute ingredient was used but wasn’t satisfactory. I will definitely ask to eat there again when I’m visiting, and I know others in my group who live in the area will highly recommend Heart of Gold to anyone looking for a great restaurant.
This is such a cute place to dine!! The atmosphere is very comfortable & cozy with much appealing decor to look at, including artwork from the owner! The food is delicious with perfect portions! They WANT to know your food allergies and are very accommodating. I am dairy free, gluten free, potato free, and corn free, and had zero issues finding anything I could eat right off their menu. The owner is so super friendly & wonderful! Highly recommend!!
This place awesome. Love the manager Jared and Danielle. Yummy food, good music, nice chefs, nice vibe!!!! Love that there's gluten-free options too! Staff is so nice - I cant wait tor return.
This place is very nice. Very accommodating and knowledgeable of gluten free. The manager even made sure the remade my breakfast sandwich when they realized it was cut with the wrong knife. I would recommend to anyone for breakfast or brunch.
A Flavorful Finale to a Beautiful Weekend – Agave & Rye, Cleveland, OH
After an unforgettable weekend at the Lithuanian Song Festival in Cleveland, our stomachs reminded us it was time to eat—and fast. With a long drive back to New Jersey ahead of us, we needed something quick but satisfying. That’s when we discovered Agave & Rye, a spot that had great reviews and a creative taco menu that caught our attention.
Though we wished we had time to sit and soak in the atmosphere of the restaurant, we had to settle for takeout. Still, the experience didn’t disappoint.
Since it was our first time, we weren’t quite sure what to get—so we played it safe and went with variety:
Taco Flight (3) x4
Chips & Queso
Lemonade
Buzz Box
As I waited, Yavonne, one of the staff members, came over to let me know they were out of lemonade but could offer virgin margaritas instead—made in-house with their own mix. It sounded fun and refreshing, so I said yes. Not only was it a great call, but Yavonne even helped me carry our order to the car, where my wife and kids were waiting. Talk about service!
The food? Absolutely out of this world. These were hands-down some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. Bold flavors, creative combos, fresh ingredients—and bonus: they offer gluten-free taco options!
The virgin margaritas were a hit with everyone, especially the kids. It turned out to be a highlight of the trip 😄 Yvonne said they make their own margarita mix and it was really good, wishing I could have had a real margarita but it was refreshing especially went well with the tacos.
If you’re ever in Cleveland and even remotely hungry, Agave & Rye is a must-visit. Whether you dine in or take out, you're in for something special.
So to be fair, I’ve never actually been here in person - BUT I had a coupon for DoorDash and I stumbled upon Milk + Honey. I was so happy to see they offer gluten-free options! The drinks are BEYOND beautiful and delicious. The breakfast bagels are reasonably priced. If you love coffee and tea, you’ll love the creative drinks!
So much thought has gone into every item in this cafe - no seed oils, all organic produce, clean water / reverse osmosis water and a variety of drinks I still need to try (which are also creative). There are not many places that are as organic/clean and free of additives.
Finding this place by a simple google was really nice! plant - based milks (cashew and oat) made from scratch (house nut milk made with reverse osmosis water). I tried the following:
- Gluten-free bagels that were soft and fluffy and filling (and not starchy like most GF breads)
- GF muffins (tried the banana oat and it was delicious, not overly banana or sweet)
- Iced matcha with cashew milk and fresh muddled organic blueberries (pictured)
I love exploring organic/healthy places that I would not otherwise get to try when traveling for appointments - finding this gem a few minutes away from downtown Cleveland was a nice end to lots of stress and planning. I can't wait to go back and try more items like coffee!
