The service here is incredible and the staff are very knowledgeable on gluten free meals and how they adapt their menu to fit GF needs. If we were staying longer I’d be back here for breakfast again!
Yeah just lovely, I had the slow beef brisket sandwich, my partner who is coeliac had the frittata.
We sat outside, the staff were lovely. All around positive.
The food is incredible, you can tell they are Italian. They have gluten-free pasta options although there isn't much to choose from. It comes in a VERY small quantity for the price, but it is very very delicious for a treat-meal.

Our server Elizabeth was great at understanding my daughter needed gluten free. Service from all staff was great, food arrived quickly and was very good. Would definitely recommend and next time we are in Edinburgh would go back.
Very tasty food, also a special menu for gluten-free dishes. The friendly staff pointed out possible cross-contamination due to the small kitchen. Highly recommended.
Loved this place. It was a rainy morning and we popped in for breakfast. The dining space is light and airy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was prompt and hot. Coffee was tasty. Would go back tomorrow if we were still in town.
Photos are of the Porty Smash and Poached Eggs on Toast with crispy bacon.
Gluten free bread option available with really decent sized slices of GF bread, which made a nice change.
Absolutely delicious vegan and gluten-free breakfast. You have two options for breakfast. One is the regular full breakfast that contains gluten and the other one is gluten-free variance of the full breakfast. We went with the gluten-free, which was excellent! Great selection of coffee and tea drinks as well. Very friendly service as well! Cute outside patio!
Yummy lentil and lime soup. Vegan and gluten free! Took it to go since they were about to close and found a spot up the street to enjoy, Middle Meadow Walk.

Adapted gluten-free breakfasts, without contamination. They give you gluten-free bread if you want and the menu says what does NOT contain gluten. Celiacs, you can have breakfast in peace, my celiac wife was not contaminated.
I'm gluten-intolerant and the restaurant provides a separate menu for glutenfree food, with loads of options. What a delight to just be able to choose anything without having to think! Very tasty Italian food à la nonna and nice, cozy atmosphere. We had a wonderful time, thank you!
I went here early one morning since Google recommended this place for gluten free food. The food was ok but the experience was not great. First I was told that I had ordered take away and if I wanted to eat in the shop, there would have to be a 20% surcharge. Then the receipt provided was not properly written, both the items on order show as "VAT" on the receipt. So my experience was not great. I would recommend you try other places if you are looking for a gluten free meal
Freshly prepared tasty food, gluten free, dairy free and vegan option. Good choice of non-alcoholic drinks including a lovely iced matcha, home made sodas in various flavours, hot chocolate and the usual coffee drinks
A great cafe for afternoon tea. Everything was incredibly tasty and it's really great that you can get everything gluten-free. Plus the incredibly friendly staff.
The café is an absolute recommendation!
We enjoyed eating our poached eggs on toast at this location. We sat outside and our waitress was very kind. They have gluten free bread available and a few gluten free pastries.
I've tried DD's in 3 places now and it's been good every time. The menu changes frequently as does the location though the vibe of the cafe in Marchmont is great for brunch.
The fried chicken is nice and crispy and a real treat if avoiding gluten (and also if not!). I highly recommend the Korean waffle if it's available (pictured at the Bellfield gf brewery popup). Very interesting flavours and not something you see everyday even with gluten.
They even sometimes have guest pop-ups themselves in Marchmont which is a brilliant idea.
Cute and delicious! Very friendly staff. I had a wonderful vegan soup with bread (pictured). Lots of vegan and gluten free options to choose from. The space is fairly small so seating was a bit limited, but the weather was nice and we enjoyed sitting at a table outside!
We stumbled upon it by accident, but I really enjoyed myself. I have celiac and they took it very serious. They prepared my food in a separate pan and assured me that they would do everything they can to make sure what I eat is safe. They were very nice and sweet! The food was really good and I would definitely recommend it if you cant have gluten.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast to go. Gluten free pancakes and a breakfast burrito. Lovely service and great start to our day. Will be back!
Pictured is the G.O.A.T. and Ham & cheese savoury crêpes. We were walking around Edinburgh and were looking for a last minute breakfast spot that offered gluten free options. Staff was very friendly and the crepes were yummy.
A hidden gem in Edinburgh, a very cozy environment that breathes creativity. Nice food with options for veggie and gluten free, a very nice coffee, friendly welcoming staff and artwork on the walls. Oh and plenty of board games and books to enjoy! Didn't try the cakes but they looked amazing!
My favourite cafe! I always recommend it. Often very busy with students and laptops so it's often difficult to find a seat, and often small groups taking up large tables (nothing to do with the establishment itself but something to be aware of) would love it if they had more gluten free food
Very nice place to stumble upon while visiting the cathedral area. Cosy place, lovely staff and good coffee. I was even able to indulge in some sweets thanks to their delicious gluten free brownie. 100% recommand !

Really disappointing experience. Made a booking for a large group for dinner and drinks. Limited space available despite communicating the group size. Very poor service. Lots of miscommunication from the servers, some saying we can order food from the restaurant and bar and some only saying bar. GF guest told they were out of all snacks and that they don’t do gluten free options only to be then told if you come back in 5-10 we may be able to help you.
Long waits for drinks and probably the worst expresso martini. Do not recommend.
