this place was SO accommodating to our bachelorette, and the food was amazing (the girls said it was the best pasta they've had all year!).
Their team added a table so our group could dine outside, and even moved us so we wouldn't have to leave early or after the designated 2 hour window. I worked with the hostess to have champagne at the table when we arrived.
For food allergies... I have celiac, and the server and hostesses were super clear and supportive of my dietary needs.
Our server Shaun, was FAB! Really lovely and even brought us complimentary shots to celebrate the bride! Really a great experience all around. So thankful for their team!
I have Celiac Disease and our waitress Alyssa and the kitchen staff were very kind and accommodating of my food allergy. They adapted my dish to make it gluten free, which I very much appreciated. All the staff we encountered were wonderful, especially Alyssa!
The Herb Box was great. Tons of outdoor space for kiddos to run around. They have great gluten free options including multiple desserts (Cakes!!!). The food was good and had a strong healthy component to the menu.
Pizza was good, but I ordered gluten free crust and it was NOT a gluten free crust that I received. I have Celiac disease; I know when something contains gluten.
I love this place. Being vegan and gluten free, this was a find. Great food, great drinks, amazing deal for the money. Wonderful staff that really take care of you. A must go.

Thanks to some recommendations I found on Eat Gluten Free AZ on Instagram, we stopped at Diego Pops near our hotel in Old Town Scottsdale for happy hour where all apps and margaritas are half off. They have a marked gluten free menu which is important to me as a Celiac. I was told that their fryer is dedicated but flour tortillas are stored near it, so to avoid potential cross contamination, avoid the fried foods.
After being put on a 15 minute wait list, we were seated outside. The weather was fantastic so it was very comfortable in the outdoor dining area next to the bar. On the table are 6 different sauces. Try them all - my favs were the pink one and the light green serrano one.
We got a frozen house blue raspberry margarita, 2 Diego (house) margaritas, a cheese quesadilla (not GF, but my husband loved it), elote (great), a bowl of tortilla soup (12/10 it was delicious), a corn cheese dip (fine) with tortillas rather than chips to avoid potential gluten cross contamination, and a pineapple pork bowl with coconut rice (not a fan.)
Between ordering our drinks and when our food came out, it was like maybe 40 minutes. We didn't mind because the weather was good and we were chatting and had our drinks, but our waitress kept updating us that she was on the kitchen to bring out our stuff. We were like, "it's fine." She came out 2 more times and said the kitchen had lost our ticket. Whatever, we were in no rush. Stuff happens.
She was super apologetic even though we didn't complain and the manager came over and gave us vouchers for 6 free tacos and comped our entire meal!!! We told them it wasn't necessary and we could pay but the waitress said it was thanks for being so nice and understanding. That made me feel sad that they clearly deal with a lot of rude, unreasonable people. It wasn't necessary to comp our meal or give us free taco vouchers. We did tip her in cash an amount that would have been 1/3 of the original bill.
Please don't go expecting free food but if you're in Scottsdale, please go check out the food at Diego Pops and get the tortilla soup for sure.
If you have allergies, do NOT trust this place. I usually do not feel the need to leave bad reviews but I was very disappointed yesterday with Crust. My boyfriend and I went out to eat for his birthday and I have a wheat, nut, and tomato allergy so before even going there, we called to make sure their Alfredo sauce was wheat free (which I applaud them for having a gf alfredo sauce, not everywhere does). When we got there, I made sure with our waitress that the gluten free pizza crust was nut free as well and told her about my allergies and she reassured me that they have an amazing gluten free crust and they truly sounded like they care. Two big things: the manager (I believe it was the manager) brought us our food and asked if we needed anything else, we asked for parmesan, she brings us a parmesan container and the lid was disgustingly dirty with tomato sauce squished on it. I had my boyfriend touch the container, take the lid off, look inside to make sure it looked safe, and then he poured some on my pizza. I was then about to take a first bite, and noticed tomato sauce where the pizza cutter had touched. It wasn't just a little either, the tomato was in between every slice and very obvious which I am glad it was obvious because I would've gotten very sick. We also looked around, it was not busy when we arrived and we had the only two pizzas in sight so I found it safe to assume they used the same pizza cutter they used on a gluten containing tomato based pizza to cut my gluten free tomato free pizza. Double whammy and not food safe at all. I let the waitress know and she apologized and offered to have them remake it but once my trust is broken with a restaurant that seemed to understand me at first, that trust cannot be rebuilt. So I sat there and drank my drinks while my boyfriend enjoyed his birthday lunch alone. Our waitress asked the chef in the kitchen if he used the same pizza cutter which he replied that he couldn't remember. The manager came out and offered to get me a salad or anything else but I turned it down because I cannot trust this kitchen to care about allergies after I was very clear with my waitress to begin with. I was then offered the gluten free dessert which is chocolate peanut butter cake, a nut product, which made me feel quite uncomfortable as I noted at the beginning that that was an allergy. The waitress was very sweet, but terrible experience for someone with allergies and the manager did not even say that she would have a talk with the kitchen or ensure they would work on their knowledge of safe allergen-friendly food handling. I have worked in a kitchen before and I know allergies are difficult to deal with sometimes, but it is not that hard to use more precaution and cleanliness to ensure better safety. This was a slower early lunch time as well, if they had a packed house, I could see and understand the mistakes, but when there's not many people, these simple mistakes should not happen and are inexcusable. The nice waitress is the only reason this review is getting more than one star, the decorations were cute too, but that was about the only good thing we experienced.
My cousin loves this place and I took her here for her bday lunch. The decor was cute and loved the open abr/patio side. They have a dog friendly patio but we opted for an inside booth. Lunch was pricey but DELISH, so definitely worth it! I got the $22 short rib sandwich and my cousin got the penne pasta and we shared the caprese salad with burrata. Took half the sandwich and pasta home as the portions reflected the price. BEST short rib sandwich.....will go back just for that. They have gluten free pasta and bread which is another nice accommodation.
Ordered takeout here twice this week. First time was a veggie burger on a gluten free bun that was delicious with half and half fries and sweet potato fries. Second was shrimp tacos - wasn’t too impressed with those for the price as they were very small, but the taste and salsa was good. Service was excellent and quick.
Great place. The menu is a bit small, limited for someone in my group who is lactose and gluten free, however, very good food otherwise. The black truffle mushroom pizza is glorious and I would not have tried it unless our server, Eleazar, had not recommended it. He is a great server and very professional! Also, the Two to Mango is AMAZING.
I had the day off and decided to meet up with some friends for brunch with my little one! This restaurant is located in the back of the mall, near Nobu and Francine.
They have such a nice patio area, which would be great for the cooler months. Inside, there were plenty of seating options. They gave our table a high chair and took our order.
We had really great service for our meal and she was very attentive.
I ordered the crispy eggs with prosciutto, which came with bread and a bed of arugula. This was really good, and I feel like a pretty good value for prosciutto ($18.)
I also ordered their gluten-free blueberry banana bread for my son. It was nice that the bread was not overly sweet, as most banana breads can be.
This was a nice location for our little catch-up, and we would love to come again to enjoy their outdoor seating.
I order from here roughly once a week to two weeks because I love the food. They're also the only place nearby that does a great gluten free pizza. And the Ziggy Fries. Oh my god, the Ziggy Fries. I ask for extra crispy extra garlic and they DELIVER. It was absolutely wasted with garlic yesterday. I consumed it all. Amazing 10/10.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Moxie’s restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the sophisticated décor and the expansive, open layout. The space is thoughtfully designed with cozy booths lining the exterior and high-top tables filling the central area, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and chic.
The menu at Moxie’s is a culinary feast for both the eyes and the palate. Every dish is artfully presented, and the flavors are nothing short of exceptional. I had the opportunity to try two outstanding items:
• FARMERS HASH: This hearty dish combines pancetta bacon, jalapeño pork sausage, roasted vegetables, and pickled onions, all topped with perfectly poached eggs, home fries, and a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. The medley of flavors and textures made every bite delightful.
• TUNA SUSHI STACK: A visually stunning dish featuring sushi-grade tuna stacked with seasoned rice, avocado, mango, and complemented by a soy ginger glaze and spicy mayo. Served alongside seasoned prawn crackers, it was a refreshing and flavorful treat.
The service was equally impressive. Our server was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly and helpful, enhancing our overall dining experience. The staff’s professionalism and warmth made us feel well-cared-for throughout our meal.
Overall, Moxie’s hit it out of the park in all areas. From the elegant ambiance to the exquisite cuisine and excellent service, it’s a restaurant that delivers on all fronts.
Additional Information:
• Ambiance: Perfect for both casual lunches and special occasions, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere.
• Location: Conveniently situated in Scottsdale with ample parking options nearby.
• Reservations: Recommended during peak hours to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Menu Variety: Offers a diverse selection catering to various tastes, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
If you’re in Scottsdale and looking for a memorable dining experience, Moxie’s is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit.
My boyfriend and I love EVO, it’s such a good spot in Old Town and it’s open late. I rarely write reviews but I want to shout out our waiter, Jemar. Last night is the second time he’s been our waiter and his service is just incredible. He saw we were sitting at our table with no waters for awhile and a couple servers walked past us before he came up and started to take care of us right away. He never ever let our waters get low, it was always full. He was quick with our drink orders. Food came out perfectly and boxed up our leftovers for us. He is so nice and also treated us to dessert and accommodated my gluten intolerance. Jemar, you are so wonderful!!!!
Pritch has a variety of foods with good portion sizes. You can get items like a power bowl, burger, pizza (no, it is fancy pizza!), quality appetizers as well. There are a variety of wines and probably the biggest list of old fashions I have seen.
If you are gluten intolerant (or have issues), they do havena gluten-free free crust and they can prepare items for gluten sensitivity like a Cobb salad. Items are not marked on the menu or online.
That night, they did not have any clean glasses, so they used plastic cups, which the party found to be just fine.
They do have TVs so we could watch the game. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
Beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating. wonderful options for gluten free and vegan foods and ample amount of beverages. Pictured is the 4222 Bowl, which was very refreshing.
The carne asada here is AMAZING! Best I've ever had. So was everything else we tried (birria, street corn, marg). Great service and atmosphere too. Prices were fair especially for the quality of food. Lots of gluten free options for those like me with food sensitivities. Will definitely be back soon!
Super tasty and cute vibe! Fun drinks and tasty food! Got the gluten free crab pasha and it did not disappointment. Staff was informative about allergens.
