12 years ago my husband surprised me and took me to La Colomba because I can't eat everywhere because of my celiac disease. We were so excited about the food that we regularly drove 50 km to have a good time. The food, whether gluten-free or normal, has not changed in these 12 years and is always very, very tasty. The employees and the boss are always friendly and amusing, a huge thank you to everyone. Kind regards from us 🤩 P.S 5 stars are not enough, this restaurant deserves much more.

Really delicious and safe gluten free German food! The dishes which can be made gluten free are marked on the menu (English and German menus available). The menu also says something like “customers with celiac disease, we can guarantee gluten free meals”. They have an entirely separate area of the kitchen for gf meals. Big selection! They also have gf beer and desserts. I had the Weiner Schnitzel vom Kalb with roasted potatoes and definitely recommend it. Note- they do not have a dedicated gluten free fryer, but I think their large selection of meals makes up for it.

Here, everything is gluten-free and there are milk alternatives. I visit Mecato almost daily and highly recommend the Arepas and Empanadas. I always go for one of the vegan options, like the Arepa Verde or Berlin, which are really tasty. The Arepa Caleña is also one of my favorites. My friend enjoys the Arepa Paisa, and in the picture, you can see the Arepa Llanera. The exotic juices and homemade lemonades are delicious and refreshing. The Colombian hot chocolate and coffee are also really good. Everyone in this family-owned business is very friendly and accommodating ☺️
