Shout out to the all women crew tonight. My gluten free sub was on point and made separate from the rest of the order. Thanks so much for taking gluten allergies seriously!
Took my daughter to Outback middle of the week. Josh was our server. He is very friendly and accommodating. I have a severe gluten allergy and Josh went out of his way to make sure gluten didn’t touch my food.
Josh made our visit extra nice.
Food was good. Service was SLOW. Could’ve just been a busy Sunday. 45 min wait at door, 15 minutes after seated to get waters, 45 min after seated to get food. Not great, but understandable. They were getting slammed I think and might’ve been backed up.
Food was good overall, wife and son loved their orders.
I have a gluten allergy and informed the waiter. I ordered a salad since most of the menu was not gluten friendly. This is also fair; true gluten allergies like mine are hard to accommodate since it’s used in many sauces, breads, pastas, flour, etc) so I know it’s a pain. I keep backup power bars with me just in case a restaurant can’t guarantee a gluten free dish.
Salad comes with a huge slice of bread thrown on top. I immediately send it back, since it would make me sick (I’m not a gluten free fad person - it actually messes up my stomach and intestines). Check out Celiac Disease if curious.
Manager came and apologized and salad was remade and given free. Kind of annoying at the time, but understandable. Order was put in right by the waiter, probably just got a piece of bread on it by habit from the kitchen. They were quick and reasonable to rectify and apologetic and I wasn’t a jerk about it, since it happens.
Overall, would recommend and try again.
First off, there is a gluten-friendly menu! This made my gluten-intolerant self very happy. We ordered the brisket and fries. The brisket was very well cooked, moist and hot. The sauces offered were very pleasing. I loved the atmosphere, decorated with military and first responder memories.
I have to say that I became a little misty-eyed when the National Anthem was announced at noon, and everyone in the restaurant rose to their feet to honor the playing. It is obviously a place to avoid if you do not want to be surrounded by proud Americans.
We are just leaving IHOP in Clarksville Indiana. This was by far my worst experience here. My husband and I brought our daughter and 2 grandchildren to have breakfast. We were seated quickly but service and food was not good. My daughter is gluten sensitive and ordered a gluten free waffle, about 5 minuets after eating it she was having symptoms of her gluten sensitivity, the waffle was NOT made with gluten free mix. Our food came out after many people that came in after us were served. I ordered potato cakes and they sent out home fries and my whole plate has hash browns on it. They brought out my potato cakes soaked in grease when I was over the whole IHOP dining experience.
