Our family of four came here for an early lunch during our recent visit to NYC. We were served immediately and the girl on the checkout was super-friendly, letting us have a taster of their new soft drinks before deciding what to order. The burgers were great quality and the fries were cooked to perfection as well. Everything cost more than I expected it to ($70 for the four of us) but that isn’t any fault of the restaurant, as the prices were clearly advertised. Yes, McDonalds is much cheaper, but the food at Shake Shack is far better quality and it was good too that they offer gluten-free buns as well. It was nice to be able to eat in such a peaceful location too, surrounded by the small birds who call Madison Square Park home.
I ordered the steak and my friend ordered the Lamb chops. DELICIOUS!!!!! I'm not big on seafood so I can't tell you about it, but everyone loved their food. The drink I had was the Atlantic Love, a bit too sweet for me, but well made. Fun time and with a group of 6, the service was very smooth. The calamari was good, but the seafood butter for the bread tasty fruity. I thought it was mango. They also had gluten free bread they brought out for the table too. I would go back!
the bagel market has never been better—there’s so much variety now, from classic everything bagels to wild flavors like jalapeño-cheddar or blueberry-thyme. It’s easy to find options that fit my diet too, like gluten-free or protein-packed bagels that still taste great. Prices are a bit higher at the artisanal spots, but the quality and freshness make it totally worth it
I absolutely love going to Mediterraneo! My go-to order is the gluten-free margherita pizza (the crust is extra crispy) and a fresh salad — the perfect combo. The vongole is also amazing!!! This family-owned gem is a true neighborhood treasure. Melania is the warmest, most welcoming presence, she gives the best hugs. It truly feels like walking into your favorite aunt’s home for dinner. Places like this are what give the Upper East Side its charm and sense of community. Can’t wait to return!
My father has been coming to Wafels & Dinges for YEARS, but I only just discovered that they offer gluten-free options—and I am beyond thrilled! The waffles are absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy, and the toppings make every bite even better. This is such an amazing place to stop on a family vacation, whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor. The quality, flavor, and friendly service make it a must-visit. I will always recommend Wafels & Dinges to anyone looking for a sweet treat in the city!
A very nice place, the food is organic and delicious. Very good service. The furniture is made of wood, very nice. One nice detail is that they don't have soda, so they only have juices, lemonades, or alcoholic beverages. The prices are expensive compared to the food they serve. My wife ordered gluten-free bread, and they told her it was gluten-free bread, and it went bad before she left the establishment. Be careful for those with celiac disease.
Cheesecake was outstanding. They even have a chocolate gluten free (which was delicious) and a sugar free (didn't try) variety. The bar stools are quite high for those who may be height challenged like my mama. Maybe opt for a table.
