Went here mainly because they have gluten free buns available for the burgers. They have a good selection of burgers and sides. Overall it was a great atmosphere and one of the best places to eat in Manayunk. One area of improvement would be to put more toppings on the junkyard tots. They were room temperature when they came out, so the cheese was barely melted (although they still tasted delicious).
Fiorino is becoming our Friday night go-to. My wife and I are both gluten-free and they have several options on the menu. Last night we had the grilled calamari to start. I had the GF pasta with white clam sauce - absolutely fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and personable with both indoor and our seating. The ambiance is right out of ‘Moonstruck’ highly recommended.
Definitely recommend. I cannot eat gluten and they are very accommodating and have gluten free pasta that is amazing! Love the small dining room and seeing the owner running dishes, checking on every table, and making the table-side pasta gives it the small family feel.
My friend recommended Founded and I finally had a chance to stop by. I was mad at myself to why I waited that long to stop by. Very good pizza I don’t think you can find this kind of gluten free or Detroit style pizzas around in Philly. We will try all other food they have too.
Visited friends in Philly over the weekend & exploring Vault & Vine was one of the highlights of my trip! Loved the greenhouse feel with all of the hanging plants and the coffee bar that also offered some gluten free baked goods! Staff were so friendly & helped us learn more about the different types of plants. This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! :)
Ordered a huge amount of food for a birthday party. They got it together in 45 mins and it was all absolutely delicious, fresh, looked scrumptious. They even whipped up a batch of gluten free falafel for me, on the house. Highly recommended.
I've been to Binto a times. I love the children's area. Great upscale casual atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Excellent selection of sauces in the market area. I'm gluten free. I suggest the chicken on rice. Perfectly cooked and seasoned-each time that I've gotten it.
This place is INCREDIBLE. From the amazing food to the thoughtful service to the beautiful atmosphere it doesn't miss. It's our go-to for any special occasions. I'm gluten intolerant and they are always incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, it's much appreciated.
ICE CREAM…When you need the real thing, made with high quality ingredients and masterfully blended, Zsa’s is your place. No artificial ice milk with pretend ingredients just incredible and delicious ice cream…. Yes with real cream!! Every time I come to Philly we visit our favorite ice cream store. My wish would be that they have more outside seating. IF you are gluten free try their ice cream cookie sandwich which was so wonderful that I don’t know the high value adjectives to describe it. Just try it.
Great service!! Thankful for David, chef, & staff for accommodating with Celiac Disease. Friendly, fun, DELICIOUS, REFRESHING drinks! Nice vibe - sitting at the bar. Made for a nice Mother’s Day … definitely will be back!
Had dinner at Mia Ragazza in Manayunk last night and had an overall incredible dining experience!
First off, all of the food was amazing—went with a group so I was able to try a variety of items. Started with a few apps and salads. The calamari was a delightful surprise. Done differently than the typical calamari and it didn't disappoint. The “slightly spicy Caesar” was again not your typical Caesar (hint of wasabi!) and it was great. We also had the whipped ricotta—a simple yet highly satisfying treat! They served it with both normal and gluten free “bread” (upon request) that was really more like awesome pizza crust (without the toppings). Then there was the softball-sized meatball (served in marinara) that simply rivaled the best I’ve had. Just lovely.
Entrees included the rolled lasagna—again a slightly different spin on the norm—and it was great (portion size on this one was larger than expected). The bucatini, short rib pappardelle, and chicken parm were all definitely standouts. We also ordered the gluten free pasta with red sauce just to try it (all of the pasta is homemade, even the GF) and it may be the best GF pasta I’ve had. No joke.
Desserts were obscenely good. The layered chocolate cake was not only a piece of art as it came out, but was the size of a human head and tasted like a slice of heaven. Do not miss this one! The affogato was also sinfully good (made with salted caramel ice cream).
Drinks were extremely tasty (creative cocktails menu!) and the service (shout out to Gina!) was wonderful.
One of the biggest pluses of Mia Ragazza was the fact they have amazing GF options—pizzas, bread, and pasta—all made in house. If you’ve got a GF person in your life, you know how hard it is to find good GF options when you dine out. This will not disappoint.
Again, an overall A+ outing. Will be back again soon!!
Met a friend from college here. We both were impressed with how fresh and tasty the food was. My colleague had gluten free restrictions and the waiter quickly offered options for both the appetizer and their meal. We shared the gluten free appetizer and I didn't feel I missed out on a thing. All table manners aside (lol) really was a lick the dish clean type of delish. Our main courses had some special requests as well and again they knocked it put of the park without missing a beat in flavor, presentation or service. Very pleasantly surprised and satisfied with this small restaurants big aptitude on delivery.
Jake and coopers has good food and good people. Their happy hour bar menu is reasonably priced. Their regular menu is very good, however I feel their prices are just a small bit higher than they should be. Definitely worth a visit to establish for yourself. Our friend, a diagnosed celiac, has eaten here multiple times with us as they can accommodate their need. While they do have a TV at the bar, it is not a good place to watch sports.
This English style restaurant is a beautiful place to dine for both the food and the atmosphere. I am very impressed with the creative and well balanced menu. Most items feature at least one or two interesting or delicate ingredients that allow the dish to shine. The cocktails and carefully curated mocktails are as lovely as the velveted interior. I also appreciated the informed and professional service from both the bartenders and the waitstaff. Even without mods, there are a lot of gluten free options (the fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer). Try the Forest Mushroom Salad; it's the perfect combination of fresh bright flavors, balanced textures, and savory umami. The Black Squirrel is an elevated gastro pub with a dedicated following for a reason.
