My new favorite! A group of food trucks with something for everyone. Arepa has south American street food and because the bread is all corn flour, it's naturally gluten free. A lot of new foods to try! The cubana blew my mind.
I've been gluten free for over 20 years now (before it was cool), and I can honestly say the gluten free pizza here is possibly the best I've ever had. The sourdough crust is beyond words, and the Hop Sauce absolutely SLAPS (as the young'uns say). I always appreciate a taproom that offers a wide selection of ciders and seltzers, and I wasn't disappointed by the array offered here. The atmosphere is great, and if I lived in Olympia, I'd be a regular for sure.
Went for dinner and the food was very good. The seasonal salad was well balanced, and we had incredible surf and turf and scallops for main courses. Highly recommend the shrimp scampi. Limited options for our dietary restrictions (gluten free) but the courses we picked were good. Service was a bit slow, and our booth cushions loked ragged- not quite the atmosphere we expected. Still had a good time though.
We had a very nice meal. Everything was on point. I had the paella with fried artichokes for an appetizer. My husband had the salmon. All was really good. I love spicy food and the paella was just right for me. My husband had some because mine was enough for two! He found it also delicious but would have preferred it to be less spicy hot. So if you don’t like spicy food… don’t get the paella but I’ll be dreaming of it for days to come … it was perfect for me.
My husband is very picky about his drinks and his Old Fashioned was perfect. I had the pomegranate limeade which was delicious and refreshing.
I love that the menu was clearly marked for gluten free.
Service was fantastic!
We've always enjoyed our experiences here.
Just a heads up for GF people... the rice pilaf does appear to contain barley, which is NOT gluten free, and I did not see it indicated on the menu.
Very nice market. We went for lunch and got sandwiches at the deli. Great option for someone who is gluten free -- excellent GF bread. Lots of gluten free items around the store too. A little pricey, but a great place to treat yourself to higher end brands and tasty treats!
This place is incredible. The sandwich as a salad option is really really good and you can have several options things even if you are dairy or gluten free.
Such an amazing stand with a great staff! So many great food options including gluten free options as well. Every espresso shot is pulled to perfection! Will always be my favorite stand! :)
Tasty pastries, good coffee, and without a doubt the best baristas in Thurston County. (That is saying something, since there are many great baristas in this town.)
Pastries: Baked fresh daily by the owners. There is an occasional miss, but rarely. I love gluten, but no protest from me about the gluten-free raspberry bars. (Try them heated up slightly.) My wife loves the lemon blueberry scones. Currently they are serving a pumpkin coffee cake. I rarely eat coffee cake, but my wife almost did not get her share when I tried some.
Coffee and such: Good product overall. They are one of the very few coffee stands/bars in town that does a good chai, meaning the dirty chai is my go-to drink there. They have a good quality chocolate if mocha is your drink of choice. Hint for those obsessed with pumpkin spice: in season they make their own pumpkin spice for their drinks. I am not a pumpkin spice aficionado, but it's pretty good.
Service: Did I mention these are the best baristas in a town with some great baristas? Even when the line of state workers requiring caffeination is long, they handle the pressure well. I keep trying to talk one of the baristas into going to a barista art competition, given the designs she pours into the cup. I'm sure they must exist somewhere.
Atmosphere: Comfortable, given that they are in the lobby of a building with small offices and apartments. The seating in the lobby itself is cozy, and there are chairs and tables and a reasonably cozy nook around back. Some might rate the atmosphere lower, but they do well with the space they have.
Price: For years, my one complaint has been the price, although "you get what you pay for" is true here. In 2023, I think their prices are about average with most other coffee joints in town. If you are paying about the same at other places, you might as well enjoy the product and service at Drip.
Bottom line: Give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Beautiful view, excellent dinner, and top notch service. Sarah, our waitress, was nothing short of attentive and accommodating. She seated us in a spot my girlfriend spotted upon entry. They ran out of Seared Sea scallops; however, the Elk Duet, was my girlfriend's second choice - she said it was delightful. I am gluten free and vegetarian - the salad, red rice and lightly sauteed vegetables were exactly what I needed to complete our evening. Overall, our meal, view, and service was top notch and worthy of return visits.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly, thinly spread service…food can be 10/10 or 5/10…a mixed bag. Beechers Chicken should never leave the menu, whereas the Brisket Ragu had entire bites of “meat” that were 100% fat. The fondues are incredible….but if you can’t get indoor seating I’d skip it. Hot air blasted at your forehead, while the rest of you freezes. I do love that there are gluten free options….and the servers are very warm but we had empty glasses and it took three passes before we were able to successfully get the bill…no offer of dessert but at that point we were DONE DONE. Lots of empty tables so they shouldn’t have been swamped…but we were ready for a self help kiosk by the end.
Best wedding cake I’ve ever eaten in my life. Amazing gluten free and vegan options. I’m obsessed and will absolutely be back! Plus service is top tier!
Wild Child has some amazing food options on their new menu, I got the Bacon Jam Burger and it was PHENOMINAL. They also have a gluten free bun available for any of their burgers, and they are quite aware of allergens, and were able to confirm which of their items could be made gluten free. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, while still having that "local pub" vibe. We also got some drinks, including a flight of some options they have on tap, and they were all great. If you are looking for a good place to get a great burger or sandwich and drinks, especially if you're having a hard time finding a good gluten free option, this place is a great pick!
