Perfect place for all gluten free people and their friends. Food is amazing and even coeliac friendly. Suitable for everyday meal or special occasion. We vere very happy to decide to have our special dinner here.
GF friends, look no further for your lunch or dinner in St Kilda!!
Absolute gluten free taco perfection! *please note - I do not say this lightly*
We had the beef, pork and fish tacos, and I honestly can’t tell you which was my favourite! Full of flavour. The fish was probably the best fish taco I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of tacos) haha
The owner, chef, bartender and overall awesome guy, Peter is worth just popping in to have a chat with if you’re not hungry! Grab their new house GF beer, and if you’re feeling brave - maybe have a boogie on the dance floor!
Thank you so much for a lovely experience, tasty food and great chat. We will definitely be back soon.
Some of the best burgers I've had and not too expensive either. They also have amazing gluten free options. I recommend taking on the Harry's Challenge if you go.
We arrived as first time visitors to Australia and 20mins before closing!! We asked if it was too late to order as we had just got off airplane and were starving they said no problem. We both had two drinks and I had an unbelievable pizza, my wife had gluten free pasta as she is gluten intolerant and had lots options, she said it was amazing. The background music was brilliant 70’s and 80’s rock and pop. We were not rushed at all, staff were very friendly and chatty. We will return to enjoy another evening there before leaving. They
One of the best places I’ve eaten in Melbourne! Phenomenal chai - super spicy and flavoursome. The food was absolutely incredible! Super fresh and burst with flavour. The quality of the ingredients were very high, I could taste the quality with every bite. The lady who served me was very competent in assuring the gluten free food was coeliac safe. Too many options to choose from, I want to try it all! I’d say it’s quite expensive but when you think the quality is excellent, the taste is amazing and they produce their own nut milks - makes it worth it! 100% a must in St Kilda!
We came for a late lunch and had a few smaller dishes, they were all fantastic. Everything was so delicious, we had the focaccia with pumpkin tahini, the romana beans, chipotle chicken and the arancini. Some of the tastiest food we’ve had in Melbourne. It’s a great location on the beach and has a nice vibe. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options.
Delicious food. Went with family, some vegan, some gluten free… everyone found suitable options and we all loved the food. Will de going there again!!!
Delicious food and excellent service! Our food came out quickly and the service was some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant; extremely polite and helpful and the menu has a variety of vegan and gluten free options. Highly recommend!
As a gluten intolerant local this place is my favourite restaurant.
I use to like in Oakleigh and this souvlaki rivals it. Authentic Greek food, they even do pastitchios , marinated chicken Maryland's, fish and chips, chicken pie, Greek pastries, rice and potato salad, Greek salad and cook potato cakes and dim sims to order.
To top it off they have diary free sorbets luxious mango, mixed Berry lemon, boysenberry you name it!
What more can you ask for?
Was reasonable mexican, lots of options including gluten free. Not the best tacos we've eaten but also not the worst. Ok for a quick meal. Would have loved more flavours punched in.
First actual ramen restaurant I've been too and wasn't disappointed, have coeliac disease so had to get something gluten free but wasn't disappointed in the quality of the dish. I got the terriaki salmon and was so good. What a place
I’m coeliac and their gluten free options were so fab. Really kind staff! They have a seperate fryer. I got salt and pepper calamari and chips and it was yummmm 💝
Best souvlaki I’ve ever had, watched him make fresh pita in front of me. Also had the brûlée tart and I can’t stop thinking about how good it was. Highly recommend supporting this local small business. Also gluten free options :)
Very friendly staff and beautiful fresh food. A very positive experience with a relaxed calming atmosphere and small country town feeling in the middle of St Kilda. Staff were also very happy to accommodate special diet requirements providing a large selection of dishes to select from. (Gluten Free)
Food was good, lots of vegan and gluten free options available! Service was friendly. It was quite loud with the music, which is fine for later at night but tricky during dinner hours.
Great food, service took a little while. $10 for a glass of juice upon arrival was a bit of a stitch up. Sri Lankan menu was nice but was only there for breakfast. Good portion size. Very accommodating of the girlfriend’s gluten free dietary requirements. Sat outside and wasn’t the most comfortable set up. Had a nice view of the area though. May return next time but won’t be going out of our way to do so
Excellent value. Caters for gluten free and vegan. Great decor. Hard to find these places where the prices are reasonable, food good, and don't rush you out. Thanks for having us, we'll be back!
Absolutely delicious chilli con carne! The portion sizes are extremely generous. Plenty of gluten free options, and I was assured my food would be coeliac safe. Pleasant service too. Really enjoyed it, recommend - it is a fun restaurant.
Kebabalab, located in a little busy traffic street in Melbourne for years and years (since I can remember!) and I never got to stop by and try them, until 2 days ago! It is the most unexpected place - in St Kilda on the corner of a busy intersection - to get an amazing meal but surely their Kebab Shop and more specifically the Halal Snack Pack (HSP) for $20 is worth every cent!
Despite the varying reviews I can see here, my personal experience at Kebabalab was good. The food was of great portion, undeniably delicious, boasting a flavour explosion with every bite. Personally the amount of meat was great and filling and I have no complains.
I could see they also had Baklava and Turkish Delight and they definitely caught my eye for next time!
The staff was quite down-to-earth although wait time was slightly longer than expected. The cleanliness of the establishment was admirable (considering it looks like a truck shop!) and the option for vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives is quite interesting to appeal to a greater audience for sure.
Kebabalab seems to be undoubtedly excels in delivering delicious kebabs and HSPs and they seem to have survived so many years in the same spot which clearly says something!

Delicious food and friendly service. Most pasta dishes can be made with gluten free pasta which wasn’t noted on the menu - just ask them. There is also a GF garlic pizza that was yummy as an entree and GF desert options. The cocktails are great too. Easy to access directly opposite the last stop on tram 12 from the city. Highly recommend for anyone craving pasta.
The food is very reasonably priced and tastes good. I highly recommend the zucchini blossoms, which were delicious. They have gluten free and vegetarian options, and they even have a kids' menu, it's just not written down on their regular menu. The tiramisu is excellent, perfect consistency, lovely flavour, and sweet but not too sweet. I would definitely go back, and definitely recommend this restaurant.
We had an amazing authentic Italian three course meal at Il Primo. Beautiful, inviting atmosphere, staff were attentive and helpful with suggestions. The food quality is outstanding, delicious and super affordable. The gluten free pasta was superb. Highly recommend 👍
LOVE these guys. Food is incredible! Their pinsa(pizza) is soooo good. For someone who eats mostly gluten free, their bases don’t make me sick at all and it’s delicious! The ricotta dip is insanely good. Cocktails are yum! AND The service is always amazing. Nathan S is a legend. Went there last year for a friends birthday and I’ve become a regular since. Do yourself a favour next time you’re in stkilda. Great view and room too.
Great service, great food, great wine! They were also very accommodating with gluten free options, which was so helpful as I’m coeliac. Will defo be returning. Thanks Javier and staff for such a lovely experience.
This place was amazing, it isn’t a big restaurant but it sure is cozy and very busy. We were a table of 12 from Geelong and straight away had were greeted with a friendly smile from our waitress who was so accomodating to have us all on the same table. A few of us ordered the Charlong cocktail, for those who love a sweet cocktail you will love this one. Two of us ordered the Mandarin Queen, wow one of the best sweet cocktail I have ever had. The food was chosen by the chef as the feed me but we were allowed to pick two mains. We had the crab on toast, the prawn betel, king prawn dumpling, lamb massaman, caramelised beef brisket, with an amazing nashi pear and apple slaw, pad se ew asparagus and then dessert was the Thai tea Ceylon tart and the wam roti apple pie, they also catered for one vegetarian and one celiac. Everyone raved about the food and the flavours in particular. I’m still thinking about everything I had and can not wait to go back and try everything else on thus amazing menu. The chef came out to thank us for coming all the way from Geelong to try her food she was absolutely humbled and was such a delight to deal with. Thankyou Charlong we loved it and will be back!!! ❤️ I only took one photo as then I was taken away by the amazing taste and didn’t want to waste one minute away from the flavours. The prawn betel was TO DIE FOR!!! 🙏🥰
I ordered summer rolls and gluten free lemongrass chicken noodles salad. The ingredients were so fresh and the sauce was perfect! And my favorite is banh mi. The baguette she made herself tastes really crispy. You must try that!
Delicious gluten free burger that is actually gluten free. The burger patty is really nice and so are gluten free chips!!!! Our new fave burger joint!! 🍔
Hello good afternoon i've eaten here many times and have found the food to quite good . l ate here today had some some oysters to begin found them fresh . For main had the pasta with prawns zucchini and saffron ( spaghetti gluten free ) The spaghetti was broken in small piece's so i couldn't even roll the pasta with my fork and enjoy it .If they had used a good quality gluten free pasta the spaghetti would not up break like this and this would never of happened it was also on the bland side not the usual standard and the restaurant wasn't even busy today .Hope you buy a better quality gluten free pasta for the price your charging thank you .
I finally got to try this place. Whilst i like to appreciate giving people a fair go, i think if the manager has to step in to correct staff in regards to basic customer service something is wrong with this picture!
Two of the staff members were obviously backpackers or new to the country, one of them said ill keep the food here on the table as they couldnt take it back to the kitchen for reheating when they brought the food before the drinks. My friend said to them due to dietary requirements, and i even put on the booking form they are gluten intolerant, so they need to drink and wait 30 mins before receiving food.
Then another staff member came out and said, "You gave the wrong dish out, and lucky my friend didn't eat it as they would have been very sick. Luckily, the manager intervened and said, "Let them keep the food.
Calamity of errors continued when this same friend order her mains and dessert, and they came all at once whilst i didnt get my main until i had to ask for it. I only ordered a salad plus a bowl of chips, which they forgot to give a side of aioli sauce.
We didn't receive our drinks until after the food was given, which was strange.
On the table next to us, we had this douchebag i dont know whether it was a joke or whether he was actually harassing two women. Regardless, he made the women leave plus a couple who were going to dine in. Im stunned. The staff didnt kick them out. He wasnt funny and the chauvinistic behaviour was inexcusable
However, the manager was friendly and even discounted my bill even though i didnt complain until now, so i feel conflicted about writing this.
Overall, ill go back there but maybe not on a saturday evening.
This Dominos is so friendly. A real person answers your call and you can over the phone, or when you pick up or get the pizza delivered. I have been surprised how good the pizzas are as well - especially the gluten free base is a good texture, it doesn’t go soggy
We love their pork dumplings but when we ordered tonight we noticed that online you can only order the gluten free version. I went ahead and ordered anyway and attached a note asking for the non gluten free version. I even called the store straight after I hit the submit button and asked 3 times for this to be changed. The lady kept telling me that the kitchen has already “cooked“ my order and I won’t be able exchange it. Poor experience and did not enjoy the gluten free version.
Went for Father’s Day and it was fantastic. We had the $70pp banquet and it was delicious. I am coeliac and for the non-gluten free dishes, I got my own special plate of gluten free substitutions which were all great. Highly recommend - great service, food and a beautiful spot.
