What a joy! Finally, a bakery that's exclusively gluten-free! Thank you!
We stocked up on bread. Super good! We were also able to enjoy a coffee on the terrace with chouquettes (gluten-free). The best!
I have come several times, at lunchtimes and in the evenings, I am never disappointed! The dishes are good, copious, well prepared, the staff is charming and adapts to exceptional requests (a gluten-free person for our group) when they are notified in advance, the setting is pleasant and the prices very reasonable… I recommend, I'll be back !

We went for lunch as it had been recommended to us.
We ordered 2 different crepes and both were delicious. The IPA beer was also excellent.
The fact that they have gluten-free options is wonderful. The atmosphere is pleasant, quiet, and the service was friendly and fast.
We ended up here by chance today and were able to enjoy a delicious meal. What's particularly noteworthy is that almost everything was vegan and gluten-free wasn't a problem. We will definitely remember the evening :)
We popped in for a light lunch. I'm coeliac and eyes lit up at the galettes with various tasty fillings (farine de ble noir - buckwheat flour). I had the L'aixoise - delicious. Partner had a smoothie and a glace of exotic fruits packed with several ice creams, cream and sauce. I didn't think she could finish, but she did. Quiet and friendly atmosphere.
I let myself be tempted by accompanying a friend who eats vegetarian and gluten-free. I was very pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent and the staff lovely. Reasonable price. Thank you so much !!!
Took myself down to Materr for dinner my last evening in Lyon. And it was one of my favourite moments. The owner is lovely - she accommodated my gluten free needs and was wonderful to chat to! The dish I had was delicious. I sat outside and the ambience was beautifully peaceful. Would definitely recommend a visit!
We had a wonderful 3 course meal here. Great gluten free options. You could have as many courses as you liked. I had poached egg in a red wine sauce with bacon and shallots to start, sausage and potatoes for main and cheese for pudding. They were very aware of allergies as well as coeliac and I felt very safe throughout. The wine was also delicious
We had a wonderful experience here! The service was really what set it apart. My sister is gluten free and we ordered a salad but didn’t mention we were sharing it. When it came to the table with croutons they offered to remake the whole salad for us. Great food, amazing location. Would recommend.
Essential place for celiacs in Lyon. I found it very difficult to eat gluten free in the city. Luckily there was the crêperie d'Amélie that made gluten-free galettes, both sweet and savory.
Quality service, a warm setting and delicious dishes. It was absolutely perfect. The wine list is remarkable.
Well done and thank you again for everything!
Special mention to the pastry chef who made incredible gluten-free bread!
We came because my partner is celiac and we were pleased to see that the restaurant has adapted to offer her a complete menu (with at least two choices of starter, main course and dessert). The dishes were tasty, plentiful and the team was very welcoming with a smile. THANKS !
We had dinner at Gardn Lab at the end of March. For a first time, it was very successful! My partner is celiac and the cuisine was 100% gluten-free! Very enjoyable, dined with confidence, aesthetic setting and tasty cuisine! We will come back!

We had a very good experience at this place. We are both gluten-free and appreciated that several items were marked gluten-free. We both enjoyed our meals with no problems.
We spent one night in Lyon looking for a vegetarian restaurant with gluten-free food and found Le Grand Liban. We made a reservation directly through Google, as it was specifically listed there. We walked through the old town and found such a cute little restaurant with affordable Lebanese delicacies. The staff spoke excellent English, and we tried the entire menu. The appetizers, both cold and hot, all cost around €8.90-€11, and they were absolutely delicious. It was really cool that everything was clearly labeled, indicating whether it was vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. The four of us had eight appetizers, tea, and a dessert for €81, and we can highly recommend it. Thank you for the delicious evening.
Was a very nice visit. The employees were very kind and helped me out to not contaminate the tacos, so they would be gluten free. They microwaved them, instead of putting them on the grill.
Excellent address! Unbeatable value for money, a menu that's always sophisticated and delicious, and plenty of gluten-free and lactose-free options. Delicious ❤️ everything is perfect!
Ideal for treating yourself at an unbeatable price!
The food was amazing, best dinner we had in Lyon. The staff were lovely and attentive and gluten-free friendly. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lyon, just make sure you make a reservation because they get extremely busy very quickly.
A wonderful, elegant dinner with family and friends. I felt very safe in the hands of the Epona team, as I have celiac's disease and have to eat gluten-free. Highly recommend!
We went on a whim, didn't know the restaurant, and we were very pleased with the service. The pizzas were very good! The homemade dough offers gluten-free options.
A small menu, but with good ingredients, so it's not a bad thing.
We'll be back.
Traditional French food! There was a vegetarian plate of the day, which I was able to get modified to be gluten free. The waiter spoke English and gave great service.
Very tasty new year's dinner with great service and wonderful combination of fresh ingredients and new tastes. The chef was willing to provide a gluten free version of the meal.
An exceptional place where you feel perfectly welcomed and served throughout the meal. Franco-Japanese cuisine is highlighted by a delicate work of flavors and aesthetics, enhanced by a tailor-made service which will guide you in the choice of your menu and your drinks. Being gluten intolerant, I wasn't able to enjoy many Japanese fusion dishes, but I was delighted by the care taken with each of my plates so that they were exclusively gluten-free (without me having to sort directly on the dish as elsewhere…).
Thank you again for this experience!
Very helpful staff, looking for solutions for customers with allergies to gluten, dairy products. Adapt the daily special accordingly. After 45 minutes of searching one of the only establishments listening. THANKS.
A pure moment of happiness
Everything is there, taste, quality, kindness of the owner.
Being gluten-lactose intolerant, for the first time in a long time I was able to eat like my children, I rediscovered the joy of sharing a wonderful meal
Thank you from the heart
It was perfect
I ordered a burger with a gluten-free bun (on Deliveroo) being highly intolerant.
Already the supplement is 2nd (in France it is one of the only countries where we are given gluten-free options even though it is a health problem, so it is discriminatory).
Then when I received my order, normal bread... I couldn't eat my burger. I made a complaint on Deliveroo and ended up with a refund of 0.90e (from the restaurant certainly the price of a normal bun).
Fucking shit. It would have been at least pleasant to reimburse the price of the supplement and normal to reimburse the price of the burger.
It's good to want to make gluten-free options but you have to know a little about it and manage it properly, otherwise don't bother.
Very good place to have drinks on the terrace! The savory waffles are also excellent! The service was perfect: waiter attentive and responsive according to everyone's needs (a friend being allergic to lactose and gluten, he was able to adapt!) 👌
Very nice restaurant but a little noisy, the tables are a little too close together.
The service is very attentive and helpful, which is nice.
The dishes are quite good, varied, and seasonal.
However, there was a small problem: we had specified when booking that one of our guests was eating gluten-free. Upon arrival, the waitresses immediately identified us as "gluten-free," which was very nice. BUT not all the dishes were adapted... the gluten-containing dishes were simply served without the gluten-containing item, which made the meal much less appealing (e.g., bread and butter without bread, dipping dishes without the brioche for dipping), a bit of a shame.
Nevertheless, it was a pleasant experience and not too expensive.
This restaurant is a great discovery! From the service to the kitchen, there are many attentions, particularly with regard to a gluten-free and lactose-free diet for which the menu has been adapted while remaining tasty in a very short time! THANKS !
I seldom to leave poor reviews but need to correct the impression that this restaurant is celiac friendly. I made a reservation indicating the issue yet the waitress was unprepared and unprofessional. A single item was suggested, a salad. I daringly selected the other green salad without dressing, it was smaller and less cheese centered, it arrived with croutons. Either she didn't bother to communicate to the kitchen or the person preparing the salad didn't care. This restaurant has a large menu, there are other items that could easily be prepared (slabs of meat? Potatoes?) GF but no effort was made to accommodate.
The building has seen better days, it was modernized within recent years but things have not been kept repaired. Both men's and women's toilets reflected poor maintenance (missing door latches, urinals gone leaving only holes in the wall).
Disappointing
I came for dinner specifically to eat the volaille de Bresse (Bresse chicken) and wasn’t disappointed. Delicious food and great wine to go with it. I had a glass of the premium wine (it changes) and it was a lovely Condrieu. There’s an allergen table which is helpful if you’re gluten-free like me.
Try the vigneron sorbet, it’s quite interesting and refreshing.
