I love this Italian restaurant :) Gluten-free pasta and pizza. And in very tasty varieties. The pasta and dough bases are also available for takeaway. The service is very friendly, and overall, you feel very comfortable there. We always enjoy coming back :)
I tried contacting the pizzeria twice (once by email, once via Facebook), unfortunately without success. Here's my experience:
I visited the pizzeria on Saturday, May 3rd, at noon for my birthday with my family (3 adults, 2 children). Since I have celiac disease myself, I called that morning to inquire about the issue of gluten. The manager made me feel comfortable and reassured, so I ordered a gluten-free Hawaiian pizza on the spot.
Before ordering, we emphasized the need for gluten-free pizza.
The pizza was very tasty.
However, in the evening and throughout the night, I experienced severe nausea and vomiting. Overall, I had severe nausea and vomiting for a week and symptoms of the gluten accident for over 1.5 weeks. Something like this has never happened to me before, and I've never felt so bad. Not at other restaurants in/around Hanover, nor abroad, nor on our various trips. I have officially been affected by celiac disease for exactly 10 years now. My birthday party went accordingly.
I would like to use this opportunity to point out the problem so that I can review your gluten-free offerings and go through the individual steps in more detail. This will prevent future guests with celiac disease/an intolerance from having to experience the same suffering.
I personally cannot recommend the restaurant, at least not for people with an intolerance or even celiac disease.
POSTSCRIPT:
As mentioned, I tried to contact you in writing in advance via two different channels (via email and via Facebook) to share my negative experiences and inform you about them, so that I could review the procedures again! I find it questionable that this had to be done by phone.
My attempts to contact you were unsuccessful!
We were all in good health. All four other guests had no problems after eating (no other celiacs). So it couldn't have been the food itself. It was definitely a severe gluten incident. It is very questionable that this is not being treated this way or is being played down here now!
We went there without a reservation and still got a seat. It's definitely better to make a reservation, especially on weekends. The food was excellent. Gluten-free options are safe and easy, and the staff are knowledgeable. I had no problems afterward.
Tolle Bedienung, leckeres Essen, großes Auswahl - juhuu!
I wasn't entirely convinced last year; I went there because of the gluten-free dishes for my adult daughter.
This year, however, the delicious, home-style cooking was fantastic, whether it was fish or a schnitzel for the grandchildren, everything was delicious.
The service was quick, friendly, and helpful. With all the stair climbing, they climb the Zugspitze almost every day 😉 So, keep up the good work, we'd love to come back.
I had a very tasty meal at Pancake Hameln.
Unfortunately, they write on the homepage that you can simply order flour-free and therefore gluten-free and then give you a “small” selection and you can’t try many things at all.
But the food is still worth 5 stars. It was very tasty.
Located at the harbor, a stone's throw from the "Alte Liebe" (Old Love) restaurant, you'll find this cozy spot, a wonderful place to dine and relax with family or friends. They offer gluten-free burgers, which were the main reason for our visit. Our celiac patients responded very well to these burgers, so we've been able to return again and again. The staff is friendly, even to children, and you feel welcome the whole time. There's a paid parking lot right next to the building, but with a maximum daily charge of €10, it's perfectly reasonable for this area in the heart of the action. We'd be happy to come back.
Beautifully located directly on the north bank of the Maschsee and directly in the Sprengelmuseum.
One of the few restaurants that has a gluten and lactose free menu.
The kitchen is very good and yet they have
reasonable prices, with great service.
Large room with enough space between the tables, beautiful bar that bathes the restaurant in a nostalgic light.
The pizza is very tasty, also available in gluten-free form, you don't have to wait long and the Pinsa also comes with scissors for practical cutting...don't forget the napkin 😉
Highly recommended Italian pizza.
We went there for lunch in downtown Emden.
They have a gluten-free pizza base, which comes pre-packaged in an aluminum tray with foil. You can choose your toppings, and it's then baked in this aluminum tray, so it's also contamination-free.
I found it really tasty and crispy. It's also a good size, with a diameter of 32 cm.
The price of around €14 was absolutely fair.
The manager and the waitress were very friendly. We felt very comfortable.
The two of us each had a pizza (one "regular", one gluten-free) and a lemonade for €35 including tip (June 2025).
We were happy to find a place that offered gluten-free pizza because my son has celiac disease. So we wanted to eat there last Wednesday. He specifically called there on Tuesday to see if they had GF pizza on Wednesday. "Yes". Super. I came specially and was looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately there was no GF pizza there.
We were super disappointed. The mother's heart bleeds at such a moment. You don't even know what you're doing to a celiac. It's frustrating enough to have such a limited offer with this disease.
So we left and looked for another place.
What a shame.

Delicious food. Very good gluten free pizza. Friendly staff.
A little louder depending on where you sit - a shame.
Staff forgot orders on various visits and didn't respond or only responded very late when you wanted to reorder something.
I was there for a gluten free breakfast. This was possible without any problems without a reservation. The rolls were delicious as were the vegan spreads. At the end there was a piece of cake, which was unfortunately quite tasteless. The long waiting times were really annoying. I waited 20 minutes for breakfast and another 15 minutes each for the cake and payment. About half of the places were only occupied. Unfortunately, I was late for the city tour, but fortunately I was still able to take part. So you should plan 1.5 hours for breakfast. Unfortunately you don't sit quite as quietly as expected and there were a lot of wasps.
Absolutely great :)
I've had the best gluten-free burgers ever here. (intolerance/no celiac disease)
The staff and the owner were very friendly and were able to provide good information about allergens.
I felt very comfortable and would like to come back.
(In addition, the extra charge for the gluten-free rolls is completely reasonable and the rolls taste really good and don't fall apart when eaten)
We were stranded in Hanover today and in the end I'm almost happy about it! I haven't eaten gluten free pizza in a very long time, this one was fanatical. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Very friendly staff, the breakfast is always nice and even gluten-free - especially recommended for outdoor areas and people who give chickens some space are also the right ones.
Good Italian. I found the food very tasty. The starters are very large, 5 slices of bruscetta. Deliciously seasoned, fresh basil leaves would have been my highlight.
Pasta Carbonara (gluten-free in the picture) can be ordered without cream and is also very tasty. I didn't think the parsley decoration was quite appropriate.
Gluten-free pizza Tonno is large and has a thin base. Next time we'll ask that it stay in the oven a little longer to make it crispier. It seemed a bit rubbery. It tasted great, with lots of onions.
Service is nice and attentive.
We had iced teas to drink. I think they're not too sweet and nice and refreshing.
I had a delicious fluffy glutenfree Pinsa (see picture) and due to the fact that they are well informed (separate oven and separate wooden plate) I had no symptoms although I am highly sensitive.
Amazingly delicious (on request) GLUTEN-FREE pizza! Super tasty, dough purchased from Italy tastes absolutely authentic and is in no way inferior to a normal pizza. I am very happy and happy to have discovered this restaurant. Absolute added value for people with gluten intolerance in Göttingen - thank you!
Great gluten-free food! Highly recommended. I have celiac disease myself. I ordered a gluten-free Pinsa Magaritha, as shown in the picture, and that's exactly what I got.
The food was ready super quickly, and the staff was super friendly. I'll be visiting Vapiano in Göttingen more often.
The F2 is a clear recommendation for people with celiac disease, as it also offers gf meals. A special highlight was the Easter brunch 25, which was completely gluten-free! Delicious food and great service, gladly again!
The lady in service was very friendly and knew about allergies/intolerances. The portions were large and the food was very tasty. I rarely have so much choice for vegetarian and gluten-free options. I would definitely come again.
We placed a large order today, only pizzas and one gluten-free pizza. The pizzas themselves were okay. Unfortunately, the gluten-free pizza was not edible. The dough of the gluten-free pizza was completely soggy, as if this pizza had never been in the oven and there was a raw egg on top... as a gluten allergy sufferer you are already in trouble, then the pizza costs even more and is smaller. Before the goods are sent to the customer, an inspection would have been appropriate.
The food was delicious, and the staff was even friendly when we walked in 35 minutes before closing time. It's worth mentioning that they also serve gluten-free pinsa!
Ordered gluten-free pizza due to gluten intolerance. According to their statement, ready-made pizza base is used. Unfortunately the pizza didn't taste good at all and was watery in the middle.
We will never eat pizza there again
I had a very tasty gluten-free pizza here!!! The pre-order worked perfectly. What should be highlighted is the very friendly service! You could tell that this woman enjoyed her work.
Eating gluten-free is NOT a problem here!
I've rarely experienced such a kind and competent waitress as "Laila," who actively addressed the right things regarding gluten-free eating and was knowledgeable about it. She was very helpful and simply wonderful. There's a good selection of gluten-free options here. They even heat the oil for the fries extra hot.
A great stop for anyone who wants or needs to eat gluten-free! THANK YOU.
Our new favorite Italian! Here we were able to order gluten-free pizza, which tasted wonderful. In addition, everyone was extremely knowledgeable about gluten and contamination; we spoke to the owner for a long time. Although there was no gluten-free dessert on the menu, I still got a slice of a very tasty gluten-free cheesecake sold at the owner's deli. We are thrilled and will definitely come back!
Very tasty gluten-free gnocchi. There is also gluten-free chickpea pasta. Our meal with the homemade spelled casarecce also tasted very good.
In addition to ready-made dishes, you can put together the pasta yourself using a modular system with various sauces and other ingredients.
The host was very nice and specifically asked if I was ordering gluten-free because of an allergy so that the pasta would be cooked separately.
Takeaway food is possible, wooden cutlery was also available upon request.
We would love to come back on our next Borkum vacation.
I can only warmly recommend the restaurant.
The waiter knew the ingredients. (I need gluten free)
Food was delicious and the waiter was very attentive.
Definitely coming back.
There's nothing to complain about. The offer of gluten-free pizza is very good, even if the four euro surcharge is quite steep. But no matter, only very few offer that 😄
We were there at the beginning of the month,
We reserved a table by phone and explored various diets (vegan, milk protein allergy, wheat intolerance, celiac disease).
With a good feeling we arrived there an hour late.
We were warmly welcomed despite the delay and immediately recognized as the group with various intolerances.
After we were assigned our seats, the wonderful Linda came, who very patiently took our 6 orders and advised us thoroughly and with a lot of specialist knowledge on our menu selection regarding our various special features. The four children were asked again exactly how they would like their food.
A knocked over drink was brought without being asked (and not charged).
The gluten-free dish was served separately to avoid any contamination. Our celiac child was so excited about her gf burger that we ordered a second one.
The service from the whole team was great, especially Linda.
The food was super tasty, the portion was sufficient. Absolutely child-friendly.
Price measured.
The Play Off is definitely worth a visit.
Particularly suitable for people with celiac disease.
The food was very tasty! There is even GLUTEN-FREE pasta!!! Super! You only have to wait a bit for the food, but the service was also very nice and friendly
Perfect restaurant,
The service, the food and the ambience are 100% perfect and so you are always happy to live near this restaurant.
The pizzeria also offers good options for people on a gluten-free diet. :D
Always great, best ingredients! It's clear that it costs a little more. The food came relatively quickly and was hot too. The curry portion could be a little bit bigger and a little more sauce would be good for the food that was delivered, but unfortunately it wasn't quite enough. Still 5 stars, you rarely get such fresh and good ingredients from delivery services. For me it is always important that there is no gluten/wheat in the food, I have never had any problems with that. It would be nice if you could order a real salad as a side dish, unfortunately you can't get something like that for €3-4. The side salad isn't right for me.
