Good for many gluten free options. (You’ll have to get the white meat instead of dark if you want certain items to be GF) will definitely be coming back!
Service was great
The person working pick up orders was incredibly rude. When asked if the food we ordered was gluten free because there was no gluten free marking on the box he said he didn’t know. We asked if he could check with the kitchen staff and he replied “No they’re busy.” We informed him that it needed to be gluten free because it was an allergy concern and if we could get the cost of the food compensated since we couldn’t eat it and he said “No, its already been cooked.” Terrible customer service for a restaurant that advertises itself as gluten free.
Nowhere on the menu was it listed that they had grilled or gluten free options and the staff didn't ask. When they brought out an extremely over cooked dry deep fried chicken I said I couldn't eat it. The manager offered to only take half off. After making the point that im not going to pay for something I can't eat they said they'd take it off. We left without my husband eating as they staff was short with us after that and rude. Will not be back.
Edit. They did NOT offer an alternative option. At no point did they ever answer my questions of a grilled option whatsoever. Absolute lies to their reply to my comments.
Great vegan cheese for the pizza! We love the thin crust. The servers are also always attentive and friendly and had helpful suggestions for gluten-free and dairy-free items for our group.
This pizza parlor has a fun atmosphere with arcade games and a rustic interior.
I am gluten intolerant, and the GF pizza crust was OK. The toppings were delicious. The pizza is made in a common kitchen, so cross contamination was an issue. Those who aren't GF loved it! They had cheesy garlic bread as well as pizza. We had to wait over 40 minutes for our pizzas, which I thought was a long time on a weeknight.
Hoo boy. My French toast was moldy, my hash browns had black stuff from a dirty grill, and my second round of hash browns was bitter.
My wife ordered off the gluten free menu and explained to the waitress that she was Celiac. The waitress, who had no idea what Celiac was said "it's ok, I accept you!" She was brought bacon that had been fried in a fryer with gluten, and was clearly hours old.
Edit: after we told the manager (one of three present) about the moldy French toast, she said the mold was just a blueberry. At least one of the three managers should have been keeping an eye on the dirty grill, the moldy food, and the gluten cross contamination. The manager didn't charge us for our food and offered us $5 off coupons for the next time.
We're not coming back.
Justin was awesome!!!! Love that dole soft serve. Hulihuli chicken is awesome as well!!!!!! also we have had good luck with celiac friendly food so far!! ❤️👍🌋
If you're in Columbia then you should stop to eat at Shakespeare pizza. I do once a year at least. 3 locations but my favorite is the south and off campus. I had a gluten free crust. Very good.
We have one non-dairy, one gluten-free, and one picky eater. N&C works well for us, though non-dairy options are very limited. If you're dairy-free, hope you like pad thai!
This place is amazing. True Italian. Made to order. Cream sauce was amazing. They have a great little store with true Italian ingredients. You must stop and give them a try. Gluten Free option at no extra charge.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Additionally, the server was kind enough to help me identify gluten free options on the menu (Celiac). While there weren't extensive options, the pad thai with shrimp was delicious!
My daughter was in Columbia for a soccer trip. Her original stop was at Shakespeare Pizza. My daughter has celiac disease. Shakespeare pizza was not willing to wipe their counters off to make a clean pizza, for her. They let her know that they don't have time to accommodate her. Her and my husband headed over to Pizza tree. They couldn't have been more accommodating and she said the gluten free pizza was absolutely delicious! And she was symptom free! Highly recommend!
Great food made from locally sourced ingredients. They have gluten free options available for those with celiac. The inside was clean and the lights were dim which was nice, i do not like super bright lights. Has a comfortable environment.
Drive a little ways for this BBQ. Based on the sampler platter, everything they smoke is delicious. Bloody Mary includes several slices of house smoked bacon. All smoked meat is gluten free, as are most sauces and some sides. Staff are knowledgeable and able to discuss food allergies.
New favorite! Super helpful staff, delicious food. The google review pictures don’t do it justice. We asked about Gluten Free options, and they said they can make any taco gluten free.
The food is usually good, but don’t go if you’re on a schedule. It took 25 minutes for two burgers and fries to come out, and one burger had to be remade because the gluten free bread got forgotten.
Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar has fast become a family favorite—with something for everyone. The salads are fresh and delicious, and the chicken sandwich is so good. It’s hard to choose what to order! I love the attention to detail on the homemade condiments and extras, and the gluten-free cornbread is amazing. A local treasure!
Edited to add that the burger gets the distinction of “one of the best burgers I’ve ever had” from a teenager who is somewhat of a burger connoisseur.
The sushi was good, and I loved that they had a gluten-free menu. I do think they need to work on ambiance, though. The atmosphere was not on the same level as the food or the service, which was also great. All in all, they are doing the most important things right, but when I go out, I also want to enjoy the environment, and I think a lot of people do too. Food and service are definitely five stars, and my cocktail was really good too.
It is the best place I have eaten in CoMo. The beet salad was really amazing, I would go back for that. My vegetarian friend was so pleased with the entree. My gluten free friend also enjoyed everything she had. So great for dietary restrictions.
The staff promised me the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had and they definitely lived up to that promise. I would drive several hours to eat it— and am in fact craving it right now! The atmosphere is lively and homey, and I really enjoyed dining with my friends here.
Great gluten free options! GF is hard to find locally but Syrian Kitchen is always listening to our dietary needs and making sure we have everything we want and need. The service is always speedy and customer service is great! Our family LOVES eating here and supporting small is so important as well - a great local staple.
Culver's frozen custard is absolutely divine! I was worried about my blood sugar spiking since they don't have sugar-free options, but my blood sugar stayed steady. Another plus is they have gluten-free buns for sandwiches. The service is friendly, but not very fast, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Great pasta and lots of gluten free choices for my wife. The grilled sausage was very good and the pasta cooked just right. The Mayfair house salad was also very good.
What a find!!! This place was AMAZING!!! Super friendly staff, location had a fun courtyard with live plants, murals, and a pizza oven. The food was tops! Great variety, some vegan, some gluten free. Everything hand made FRESH! The beverage options were also varied.
Our server was amazing very friendly.
The kids love the fish tanks.
Booth was very comfortable.
Good selection of gluten free food for my mom.
Everything we ordered was amazing in flavor.
I wish there was one closer to where I live.
If you get the right server, they can be very knowledgeable about gluten allergies. My husband ordered enchiladas and I ordered tacos. Both were *delicious*. But we left hungry, we could have used bigger portions. Chips and salsa were very good, we tried filling up on those after we finished our entrees.
We eat here frequently. They provide a reasonably safe gluten free and dairy free meal, even meatless, if desired. This location has treated us better than others, making substitutions (beans in place of rice) for one of our group. We like everything we have tried, unless is was sitting a while and dried out. I do wish they would train all employees how to prepare food for allergies! I usually have to tell them the order to do things to avoid cross-contamination.
We had a private dinner in the back room for a work event with about 25 people, many from out of the state. Billy was fabulous to work with while planning the event and Caitlin our waitress was fantastic. I would highly recommend Room 38 to anyone who needs a casual and fun space to get together. Food was great and drinks even better! I have celiacs, so I am unable to eat gluten, and the staff answered all of my questions and I felt very safe eating here. I will be back next time I visit Columbia for sure!
The whole experience was delightful. The food is amazing! Healthy gluten free options! Huge portions. You know to enjoy at home because you won't be able to eat it all.
They got their gluten free bread (back?) today 03/05/24 and I have to say it’s fantastic. I love Schar bread. The Jamaican jerk turkey sandwich was really good
