i love this place. i have celiacs disease and really enjoyed eating here on my first trip to NYC i have the ricebarry, coriander steak with the Kati special curry sauce.. the sweet potato and the cucumber salad would definitely recommend this place. 10/10
Delicious pizza and the restaurant had a nice vibe. We ordered a gluten free pizza with several toppings - it was fresh, hot, and prepared perfectly. It was Saturday night and most tables were full, but they still has some open tables for us. Very fun and satisfying evening at Uncle Paul’s.
Hot dog stand located inside Grand Central Terminal, in the basement. They have gluten-free hot dogs with the best gluten-free hot dog bun I've ever had. My boyfriend, who isn't celiac, said it was the best hot dog he'd had in New York.
Good choices, amazing customer service. Tons of flavorful cool sauces to choose from. Tons of ways to customize your dish, this place has something for everyone whether vegan, gluten free or if you want to just double up the protein or salad. I love the chicken and steak combo with spicy teryaki sauce and brown rice. The line moved fast especially with the self order kiosks. I also think its cool that they partner up with vendors like mealpal here. Every single dish and protein ive tried had good seasoning with big portions and high quality ingredients. There is also ample seating here but it gets packed between 12-2 pm so beware of less odds in this time frame.
Literally one of the best veggie sandwiches I’ve ever had! I switched out the honey mustard for the hummus and was able to get it made on gluten free bread. It was quite pricey though. $16 for JUST the sandwich and I’m pretty sure there was an upgrade for gluten free even though the gluten free bread is always way smaller than regular bread and possibly an up charge for the hummus.
I'm vegan and was looking for a quick meal in Grand Central and there are limited options, which is not the fault of Shake Shack. What IS the fault of Shake Shack was getting my order wrong TWICE, worse the second time than the first, and when I got it the third time, pickles had been removed for no particular reason. If I have to order the "veggie" shack with no cheese, no shack sauce, no bun (instead a lettuce wrap that was an unnecessary amount of lettuce), and no crispy onions, the least you guys could do is leave me my beloved pickles. Also getting rid of the vegan milk shakes you guys had was a massive mistake. They were only alright but improved the vegan Shake Shack dining experience greatly. PLEASE just put a vegan burger on the menu as something easier to order, you already have a gluten free bun option, just get a vegan one too I swear to God they're not that hard to come by.
Food is delicious, staff are kind, and they’re super Celiac disease friendly. They’ve been in my lunch rotation for a while now, and I’ve never got sick from gluten exposure with them.
