Food was absolutely phenomenal, as was the service, I would highly highly highly recommend. On top of that, they have an allergen free menu including gluten free with separate dishes to avoid cross contamination.

Excellent wood-fired pizza! Lots of varieties and the gluten-free crust was delicious (it's not suitable for celiacs and allergy sufferers though).
Ultra fast service and friendly staff!
This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with slightly dim lighting, Italian style 🇮🇹. Wood-fired oven to make good pizzas. Delicious.
The waitress even took the time to bake a gluten-free roll for our daughter who is celiac. Great initiative. However, while she was taking the order I noticed that she was not taking notes. Obviously experienced waitresses like her usually remember orders by heart.
We ordered a pizza with extra green pepper. Finally the pizza arrived WITHOUT chili.... Not the end of the world, but if she had written notes, she might not have forgotten it. A possible suggestion would be to enter the order into a tablet in hand to avoid this kind of small error.
Nothing very serious, so 4 stars out of 5 for today given the small error. Otherwise it was 5/5 😃👌
Also today they clearly lacked waitresses on the floor and therefore the overall service was a little slower. That said, the waitress in question, being experienced, still managed to compensate with her efficiency. I still think that Mother's Day weekend would be a good time to staff the place a little more 😜
My mom has a gluten allergy, and this is one of the very few restaurants she trusts! Plus, the food is ABSOLUTELY delicious! Everything we’ve tried here has been amazing. The service is excellent, and every staff member is kind and attentive, always making sure you’re having a great time. We always leave happy. HIGHLY recommend! :)
I visited Wienstein & Gavino’s for my birthday and had a very enjoyable experience. The menu offers a wide range of choices including entrees, salads, mains, pasta, and pizzas, so there’s something for everyone.
One of the nice touches was the unlimited bread served with olive oil, it was fresh and a great way to start the meal. I also appreciated the customizable pasta options, where you can choose from different types of pasta and sauces. It’s great that they also offer gluten-free alternatives.
The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a solid choice for Italian food in the city and a place I’d be happy to return to.
looking for a delicious gluten-free option or simply a perfect place for a date night, Sapristi St-Jean is the ideal place. The restaurant is easy to find, with parking spaces along the street.
We were greeted quickly and seated at a table with a big smile, which immediately set the mood.
As a starter, we opted for the onion soup and olives and pickles. The presentation was neat).
For the main course, the gluten-free American pizza was absolutely delicious, with dough that really tasted like traditional dough (impressive for a gluten-free option). The two salmon pasta was good, but lacked a little salt to really bring out the flavors.
In summary, an excellent experience, with tasty dishes and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for gluten-free options or just a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere
I will be dreaming of the delicious crab cakes until I'm lucky enough to return!
We originally chose to dine here as we were excited to see the level of gluten free accommodations, and it's safe to say we were all pleased with our experience! Our server was accommodating to our needs and requests, the food was EXCELLENT! the only thing missing was a beautiful glass of wine to pair with it all! A fun idea for guests to bring their own wine, but as we were from out of town, I would have enjoyed the convenience of ordering a glass from a menu.
Overall, 9/10 experience!
I'm celiac, so I have to be very careful about where I eat. They have gluten-free options, and after talking with the staff, I was put at ease knowing they take all the precautions necessary to avoid cross contamination when preparing gluten-free dishes.
The restaurant was great and the service was fantastic.
Rather disappointed for a first experience, the dishes basic and disappointing. The dishes are served with some fresh fruit which is nice.
As for the atmosphere, if you want to be a little quiet, forget it, it's terribly noisy! The service wasn't great, but we can understand if someone is a beginner. The very pleasant waitress at the start of the meal finally asked us to hurry up and accommodate other people! Something crazy! Arrivals at 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. outside. You pay and you get out! The waitress thought we had been warned, this was not the case. And in this case we would have understood! I arrived from France to see a Canadian friend and I admit that I was shocked!
Very disappointed especially as we chose this place for their gluten-free menu.
Damage ! Note the bad faith of the owner in his response! And as for absolutely no harm to you! When it's good I say it and sometimes it's not so good! Best wishes.
As a celiac, traveling is always tricky especially in countries where I don't speak the language. At Sapristi, I was able to enjoy a delicious gluten free meal with no issues. The staff were friendly and helpful and able to advise on my allergies. My only complaint would be that we were seated on the patio and there are lots of hoverflies on the terrace that buzz around your food. That being said, I would return again if I was in the area. Thank you Sapristi!
Place looks nice enough, and the food was tasty but slow service. The very unfortunate part was we chose this place because they offer gluten-free pizza and my wife ordered that, specifically telling the waiter that she is allergic to gluten. Our food came, she ate some and noticed it tasted too good, and of course was gluten. We asked for the food to be packed up so we could leave as once my wife eats gluten, the clock starts ticking until she will be quite ill. We were billed for everything at full price, even the wine we didn't have time to drink.
If we weren't in such a rush to get her to a comfortable place to recover, I'd have pursued the issue further. Unfortunately, this was just unavoidable, and also unresolved.

I love this restaurant, both the food and Ophélie's service were excellent, especially since getting such a delicious gluten-free pizza is not easy for those of us who, for health reasons, cannot not eat it.
My partner and I went here for dinner tonight and I got to say it was an amazing experience. I got the gluten free margarita pizza and it was amazing. The dough is made fresh and the sauce is beautifully flavored. Our waitress was on top of it. She was great at her job. The creme brulee was also gluten free so it was a nice way to end the meal.
Celebrated a major family birthday there. Our server was awesome. The table d'hote was so amazing that most of us got something off that, but we had a few things off their extensive main menu as well. Superb food, great atmosphere. Music is not too loud so you can have great conversations. Good gluten free options for many of the menu items, and they take it seriously. They also adapted a menu item for a family member with a few sensitivities. Excellent experience, we will be back!
Pasta made fresh at the restaurant and the quality was outstanding in my opinion. I absolutely loved what I got: gnocchi with mozzarella and tomatoes in a pesto sauce. Cute space and really easy to hear each other talk even though there was music. The pizza looked good but none of us tried it, I like that there were cauliflower crust options and other gluten free options too if you need that. Also lots of veg options. We were served toasted bread and olives with oil and balsamic to start and they were perfect. I definitely recommend this place and especially before all those new condo developments bring in tons more people. We had two cars and were able to park right in front on a Saturday night.
El Pastaman lives up to its name. During our three-day stay in Montréal, we ate here the last two nights. My girlfriend suffers from coeliac disease, which is why we are always on the lookout for gluten-free options. El Pastaman offers gluten-free pasta. The pasta sauces are also gluten-free. I ate the "El Transparente" pasta with normal spaghetti. I have never eaten a better carbonara in my life. The sauce was perfectly balanced. The spaghetti was topped with crispy bacon, juicy pancetta, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spring onions and sprinkled with parmesan. It was real soul food. The taste is 1A. My girlfriend also liked it. On the second evening, I tried the spaghetti bolognese (El Rosso). This was also delicious, but couldn't even begin to compete with the delicious carbonara. Our recommendation is therefore: try the carbonara. The restaurant itself offers plenty of seating. You can come by without a reservation, which we really liked. However, the ambience was not the nicest (fans were running, electronic music was playing in the seating area and pop music in the kitchen - very confusing). But we would still eat here again at any time.
Our group ordered pizza, pasta, and some gluten free items. The ambience is cozy groovy and classy, and the service was good! However, the star of the night was lacklustre. A common thread among us was that the food was bland, lacking seasoning and salt. A bolognese dish tasted purely of tomato, with very little meat. The carbonara, though perfectly cooked, lacked richness and flavour. Finally, the pizzas were both confusing and disappointing. The crusts are not the dough one might expect but rather a large pita bread. The result is an unfulfilling pizza cracker.
For the price, many of us expressed feeling hungry even though we had had entrees as well as our main dishes, but we were unwilling to buy more. The portions are rather small.
Also for some reason they kept increasing the music volume as the night got quieter which was headache-enducing.
I must stress that the staff were wonderful and the service was good. I also commend their gluten free menu and their care to provide options for people with Celiac’s.
We ordered takeout pizzas yesterday evening. The Margherita with gluten free crust was good. I was disappointed with the Funghi Misti, it was described as having mixed mushrooms, flor di latte and truffle oil. Mixed mushrooms consisted of plain white mushrooms and maybe brown ones. The truffle oil was non-existant.
It is now 3 weeks since I posted and the owner has replied. No explanation, no excuses, just a copy/pasted reply.
We picked this restaurant for our girls night out dinner because they had good gluten free options. The restaurant was so atmospheric. The service was awesome. They were so accommodating to my gluten free friend. The menu is beautiful (both in design and the food itself!). Everybody loved their cocktails. The food itself was delicious. We even got dessert to go.
Wish we were in town longer so we could go back again!
Thoroughly recommend!
We had an amazing dining experience at Pizzéria NO.900 - Vieux-Montréal! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern elegance.
One of the highlights for us was the arancini cheese and spinach balls—my girlfriend’s favorite! Crispy on the outside, rich and flavorful on the inside, they were absolutely delicious. We also loved their gluten-free pizza, which had an incredible crust that didn’t compromise on taste or texture. Plus, the variety of fresh veggies and toppings made it easy to customize our meal just the way we like it.
If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality pizza with fantastic gluten-free and vegetarian options, this place is a must-visit in Old Montreal. Highly recommend!
Went to eat here for breakfast today and was pleasantly surprised. They were able to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergy - they removed the spices from the potatoes to make them gluten free and offered me gluten free bread. I ended up getting the Gourmando but added an extra egg.
The food came out extremely fast for a Sunday morning and everything was pretty tasty. Just to note the bacon wasn’t anything special, felt similar to other fast food chains and I’d get the apple sauce vs the fruit salad next time :)
This place is amazing! The owners are gems! They have always gone out of there way to make sure my daughter who has a gluten intolerance have the best experience! This is one of the very few places outside of my own kitchen that make gluten free taste great. All there pasta can be gluten free, as well as there pizza and subs are on a potato bread. Not to mention that there poutine is lactose free and the cheese can be extended to pizza and subs as well.
Much love to you bacaro!
Nothing beats grilling your own bread, this concept needs to spread before the whole world becomes allergic to gluten. What more can I say? Food was great.
Only thing that was good was the wine!
Starter of gratinated garlic shrimp at least she was able to do it but there was a hair in it!
My partner had the MEDIUM steak, it was almost alive!
There were more fried onions than fries on the plate
No taste of steak
I ordered the Italian salad but as a meal! She arrives at the entrance with a bonus hair in it AGAIN!
The waitress, not sure what to do, returns my starter and comes back with a main course! Salad 2 tomatoes and 3 small pieces of chicken in it, that’s it! Chicken burned on the outside almost raw on the inside!
Pretty ordinary for a plate costing over $20
I ordered gluten-free bread which I never received!
Quite disappointed!
I should have gone to Baton Rouge!!!
We go to the restaurant at least twice a week and tonight was extremely disappointing!!!
Based on a visit in Aug 2023.
The restaurant was busy at 6PM on a Monday. We didn't have a reservation. However, we were able to get seated quickly. Our waiter was pleasant, professional and efficient. She spoke English fluently. She explained the various menu options to our satisfaction. We were pleased to see that smaller portion sizes were an option. It was just right for us with the soup and starters.
Red wine was smooth and the espresso martini (not on the menu but our waiter said it could be made) was perfect after a long day of hiking.
Food was served promptly. The minestrone was not bad. My wife enjoyed the mussels with marinara sauce (sauce was delicious). Her main course of gluten free pasta with fresh sauce and basil hit the spot. My penne with arabiata was good too.
The restaurant serves gluten free pasta for an extra charge.
Super good food! They have gluten-free options and you can grab and go!

Nice restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere. The menu offers several alternatives for people with gluten intolerance. There is even a fresh gluten-free pasta dish: mushroom strozzapreti. You always have to pay a few dollars more to get a gluten-free version of a pasta or pizza dish. It is therefore particularly pleasant to find a pasta dish specifically designed to be gluten-free, and therefore without the need to pay the usual extra. Same thing for the dessert menu: the menu offers a tasty almond and orange cake.
Seriously it was the best gluten free pizza I have eaten. It reminded me of my trip to Italy even though it was gluten-free. It was excellent! And what about the Caesar salad which, although quite simple, was delicious.
I would call this an experience and a wonderful one that is! The service is on point and the staff make you feel at home. The venue gives you grandparent vibes in a nice way. I went for the MTL à table menu since they had vegan and gluten-free options. They started us off with bruschetta, and the plates kept coming. The minestrone was delicious and warming, the truffle and mushroom gnocchi was very good and generous portion, i would say you really need to love mushrooms. The brownie was more like a cake texture as it was on the drier side and not overly sweet which is perfect after a pasta meal. I loved that it had a lot of walnuts. The vegan icecream was just ok, I've had better. Overall great night and to top it of they gave us a rose when we left..how sweet!
Very good. Very tasty food. Restaurant with brunch and gluten-free pasta options. For the other dishes, you just have to remove the bread that comes with it. The price is a little higher than normal. Very friendly and attentive staff. I recommend it.
At first: GF option for pizza and pasta, a big wow!
The arancini, although very well presented, were a little bland. On the other hand, the two main dishes were excellent and very generous. I will go back mainly for the gluten-free option which for me makes all the difference!

We loved our meal and the waitress was very nice, helpful and very professional. We were a group of 10 and the service was quick and efficient. The food was excellent and the person who had to eat gluten free food loved their meal. I had some pretty temperamental ladies in my group and they want to come back on their next visits to St-Hyacinthe. THANKS! 🙏
Had the pleasure of eating at Beba on Sunday. I don't think of myself as a foodie - I have a lot of food restrictions (gluten & dairy free :( ) so it's a tough thing to participate in but I had family in town who really wanted to go here.
I am always hyper aware of what a pain it is to accommodate food restrictions (I'm so sorry :( ) so I had written in advance to ask about the menu. The response couldn't have been more gracious and the server went out of their way to ask a lot of questions. So for the allergy & intolerance buds, this place is a win.
Someone was getting trained in the kitchen while we were there and it was comforting to see the amount of patience being demonstrated towards them. Open kitchens put extra pressure on people but everyone seemed to be communicating kindly. (One of many ways that Beba comes off as progressive and fresh - it's hard to imagine one of these chefs having an old school meltdown) They made service look effortless even though it surely isn't considering the care put into the food.
The cocktails were perfect. They seemed to be mostly *slight* twists on classics. No smoke bubble bullshit just like a hint of lavender. The (modified) food I had was great and I can only assume that in it's intended dairy and gluten having form it's even better.
I have to say I didn't feel quite cool enough to be there but that was entirely on me. It's beautiful inside - from the tableware to the customers - and outside where there's an adorable little patio area).
My thought leaving this restaurant was that the staff deserve to be proud of themselves and of their workplace. There aren't a lot of restaurants able to convey this level of grace and elegance. Thank you for all your hard work.
The discovery of the year! My girlfriend has Celiac disease and it is difficult for us to go to restaurants. At Gréco, there are no barriers! Almost everything is gluten-free, the dishes are good, the plates are well stocked and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will return there on our next trip to the region 🤩
