They hype was real! Typically Im not a fan of order at the counter type places, but I’m willing to get over it for this place. I had the chicken kebab bowl and of course had the Mac n’ Cheese because that’s all I’ve been hearing I about. Everything was amazing, and I cannot believe how good the Mac n’ Cheese is for being gluten free.
Unfortunately, I placed an order originally a few days ago. The gluten-free bun was as hard as a rock and they included hash on my sweet potatoes today I picked up the replacement order and I let her know what all was on there. It included things that I did not say I wanted it on my sandwich. I have irritable bowel to where I am not able to tolerate some things and I specifically told her the items I want there. I did not get to receive a replacement order tonight again because they were closed and now I’m without a meal for tonight. No one wants to throw away $27 worth of food that they paid for. I am disappointed in the customer service and the blame. She tried to put on me for something that she did as in the manager.
Excellent! My wife and I always order pizza to go. Gluten free cauliflower margarita for my wife and for me also the gluten free pepperoni, caramelized onion and parmesan
Im visiting my family from out of town, had an amazing experience at this location! Both my mom and I are extremely symptomatic celiac. Our server, Anita took such care to ensure that all our concerns were very clearly addressed and the manger even came over to check in on us and gave us extra treats. I’ve never been so confident and felt so comfortable and safe eating out before. Will definitely return again next time I visit. Thank you so much!

appreciate the gluten-free burger buns but don't talk to the cashier about ordering. Neither myself or anyone I've gone with has liked the taste of the food here. It's not bad but there's something off. For example I got the Cadillac burger and for me it was too dry and the Swizz cheese overpowered everything. Best to order one simple burger for the table and split it before ordering more.
Amazing service and food! The staff are so kind and very attentive with a lot of information about gluten friendly food. The gluten free bread is DELICIOUS! Light and fluffy and the panini bread was divine. Their membership wine club is so amazing with tons of benefits and treats! Happy hour includes a whole list of bottles of wines you can get only for 25$! Best place to go to for a romantic night out, beautiful ambiance, fun and tasty food and very affordable. This is now my favorite place to go to! Highly recommend !!!
Not a crumb left behind. I will most certainly be back. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with garlic Parmesan fries which is included with the entree. Everything looked so good that I went back and ordered a blueberry lemon scone and earl grey tea. Everything here is vegan and the sandwiches are gluten free. Great price for the quality.
This is a hidden gem, tucked into East Shore. The staff is top notch; the wine is carefully selected and paired with the menu. The food is fresh and made to order. This is the only place I will eat shrimp. Porta'vino takes allergies seriously and they have a dedicated gluten- free fryer. The chef will make special allergen-free entrees, catered to your specifications. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants!
And, they have rooms for private parties!
The food and service here was awesome. Coming from San Diego Coastal area we had many choices for dining on awesome fish. Here the choices are limited but Truluck's doesn't disappoint. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that I have to eat gluten free and while they have many gluten-free selections on the menu there is no gluten-free desert. Seems silly but if you want to celebrate you want the full experience. It would be so easy to have one. Most even average restaurants do.
While they have some awesome gluten free options the experience can be less than satisfying. We sat on the patio which was very dirty. There was food and trash under all the tables. They booth benches must be really old because they are all compacted so you basically need a booster seat. Also the music they play indoors and outside might be nice if you're 15 yrs old. It's some kind of techno hip-hop, very agitating.
Had a fantastic experience at Cava this evening! I must eat strictly gluten free as I have celiac disease. When I mentioned this prior to ordering, Luke immediately went to the hand sink and thoroughly washed his hands and forearms to prevent cross contact of gluten while he prepared my meal. This impressed me beyond measure, as this is an important precaution many restaurant staff don’t take. I enjoyed chatting with Luke as he prepared my bowl for me — which was delicious!Thank you, Luke! I’ll be back!

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem and has quickly become our family’s favorite spot in the area! The staff at this restaurant are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Our server, Andrew, and the manager, Anna, went above and beyond to make our experience special. They were both incredibly caring and personable, adding a warm touch to our visit. We started with three appetizers: roti curry, spring rolls, and chicken satay. The roti curry was the standout—it completely blew us away, and we couldn’t stop coming back for more. It’s easily one of the best dishes on the menu.
For entrees, we enjoyed the Yellow Curry, Tom Kha, Red Curry, Beef Noodle Stew, Pad Thai, Cashew Nut Delight, and Vegetable Stir Fry (Pad Pak). They were incredibly accommodating to dietary needs, substituting steamed veggies for rice, and we appreciated that all the curries are gluten-free, making meal selection a breeze.
This spot is a new favorite for when family visits—highly recommend!
this restaurant has always had spotty service - like don’t be in a hurry, cause the meal is going to take awhile.
my real complaint is we ordered a gluten free crust pizza and it wasn’t until 10-15min later the manager informs us that they didn’t have any. so my wife’s pizza came out substantially after mine.
in and of itself, it wasn’t a big deal to substitute to cauliflower crust, but those are not the same thing. and there was no effort to make amends despite the extra time involved in correcting the issue.
and a real lack of toppings btw.
but for an $80 meal (2 small pizzas + 2 teas + tip), an underwhelming experience.
and i completed the survey on the payment device and requested to be contacted - nothing after several days. so the management doesn’t really care either.
i think this was my last visit to this location.
To sum up this place: it's an upscale cafeteria. And in this instance, that’s a good thing. They serve quality food in a non-pretentious, yet slightly pretentious way. What do I mean? Let me break it down.
For starters, you seat yourself in a dining environment that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor dining area is lined with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The chairs and tables are slightly upscale, with wood accents, as opposed to the plastic seating you’d find in a traditional cafeteria. The outdoor patio mimics the indoors, with plenty of gas warmers and a modern-style accent fireplace wall. Again, not pretentious, but pretentious.
The food menu is what you’d expect from any slightly upscale dining spot. The options are large and plentiful, but not so much so that it’s overwhelming (aka The Cheesecake Factory). Items like chorizo queso, lobster tostada, and truffle mac & cheese make up the appetizers (they call them "Beginnings" here). Blackened redfish, beef & lamb bolognese, and fried chicken & waffles are just a few of the "Kitchen Plates." They stick with the cafeteria theme in concept, but the offerings could just as easily be found on a fine dining menu in an upscale restaurant. Add a full wine menu, craft beers, specialty burgers with a gluten-free bread option, and you start to really understand this place.
I had the build-your-own plate option, which included black pepper salmon with chipotle butter, steamed broccoli, and a mixed greens side salad splashed with what I assumed was balsamic vinaigrette dressing. A Shiner Blonde Light from the ice trough topped it off nicely.
My take: I would definitely go back. We went for lunch, but I'm eager to try the breakfast offerings. This is the place you go when you're in your daytime best casualwear, want to grab some great food, and still catch a good buzz. No waiters constantly asking if you need anything. Just an eclectic crowd of both business folks working on laptops and suburban Houstonians enjoying their day in The Woodlands.
Heard they had gluten free crepes and was intrigued as someone with Celiac. I struggled to decide which option I wanted, and ultimately got the crème brûlée crepes. It was so good. Chock full of custard and sliced fresh strawberries, with crunchy caramelized sugar on the top to complete the crème brûlée vibes. Absolutely delicious, and I wish there was a location closer to where I live, though it’s probably good for my waist line that it’s too far of a drive to eat here regularly
SUCH A HIDDEN GEM! Favorite coffee shop in The Woodlands area. It's tucked away in a cute shopping center behind some giant trees. Everything is good here. Coffee is the best in The Woodlands imo. Matcha are also so good. They also have some gluten free options. I got the gluten free chocolate chip cookie, and it was sooo good. The staff is so welcoming and extremely nice. Anyways, just go try it. You won't be disappointed!
This place is the REAL deal! I stopped in for something healthy between meetings. I was honestly not expecting much - just looking for something that didn't cause trouble with food sensitivities.
But, y'all, it was SO good! I'm not even a fan of zucchini noodles but in the lasagna was just yum!
I also loved the service and passion. When I stated my dietary restrictions, she was able to point out exactly which things were for me and most recommended without flinching.
If you've been looking for gluten free, top quality healthy food that actually tastes good, this is your place. Bonus - super convenient! Highly recommend.
Really love going to this place. It's one of the few places I know I can eat at, and not have issues. (I have food intolerances, so I have to be picky). I will say this, though, it would be really awesome if they had gluten-free buns and not just the protein option. But other than that I really like their food and it's very affordable.
I had good but not a great coffee yet but they have some of the best gluten free pastries I have ever had. The olive oil cake and the blueberry lavender muffin. So yum. 😋
I was visiting the woodlands today with a friend. We stopped in for lunch. I informed the young man serving us today that I have celiac disease. Without a beat, he took his gloves off, went over and washed his hands, and put fresh gloves on and proceeded to serve me all the way down the line so that no one else touched my food. He also made sure to look over the list to make sure that I didn’t get any food that contained gluten. This young man needs a raise!
There are hardly words for my giddiness and joyfulness after first trying these tacos. I didn’t know vegan, gluten free tacos could be this good, and fun. Shout out to Velvet Taco for thinking outside of the usual suspects - which are gross. I wish the employees knew the sauces better so there was a more uniform response about what a safe substitute for default sauces might be, but overall - 🫰 🫰 ⭕️
We go each year to celebrate multiple family members' birthdays, three of which are gluten free.
Great experience, great food, great service!
Special thanks to Travis, Iloir and so many others for taking great care of us!
We had an excellent experience! Bianca served us and was delightful and very helpful with navigating the menu. I am celiac so I rarely eat out but both Bianca and management took the time to make sure my allergy was catered to. I highly recommend this place to both regular patrons and those with allergies. You will be well taken care of!
We ordered take-out, and unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked to the point of being inedible – too chewy; we couldn't eat it. While the sides were tasty, the gluten-free strawberry shortcake was dry and didn’t seem fresh. I still ate the cake because I was excited to have a gluten free dessert.
Fantastic food - fresh homemade pasta, regular and gluten free. Several gluten free options - try the gf chicken Parmesan. Staff and chef very knowledgeable about vegan and gluten free.
When we arrived they told us any sushi roll could be made gluten free. We love spicy sushi, so that's all we ordered... a while after placing our order our waitress came back to say all spicy salmon and tuna had gluten, so they'd have to change that out AND they would upcharge us for using the non spicy fish. The only option given to us was that they could put chili powder on top for some spice. Then they didn’t even do that for us.
It was so incredibly disappointing, especially the fact that they were upcharging us for switching out the fish because we had a food allergy.
Great gluten-free options! I have had the grilled chicken and the salmon and they were both delicious. A great sit down meal that's casual and pretty quick. Recommend for a light fare.
Food was amazing, gluten free options were next level delicious, service was on point, and the interior is beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions!
Very rare you find a place this nice. We had Beef Tortellini with mushrooms and Chicken Parmigiana, both had a great flavor and you could tell homemade (the breading on the chicken was really good). The oil they give you for your bread is very addictive. They had a piano player that added a nice feel for the place, not too loud or soft just right. Would I go back? Yes. Should you try it? Yes. I did not see any Gluten Free options on the pasta as I have family that need that due to allergies and would love to take them. So maybe that could be added? Heidi ( hope I spelled it right) was a wonderful waitress and did a great job.
All in all please give this mom and pop shop a try you will have a nice meal!
