Lunch time on a Sunday, and we were the only ones in the place, which was a bit surprising because the food is out of this world! The restaurant is beautiful. White linens. Gold framed paintings. Dimmed lighting. Lovely. She had the beef stuffed ravioli -- exquisite. I had the tutti di mare (gluten free, because they do that here and do it well) -- absolutely succulent. Salads -- crisp, fresh, delicious. Cannoli -- the freshest I've ever had. Decadent. Upon my request, our server even made me a lavender Italian soda. Perfection. She was friendly and attentive, and even let me know that the cannoli was not gluten free, because I had chosen gluten-free options for the other parts of my meal. Every experience I've had here has been like this one. Never bad service. Never a bad food item. Magdaleno's is hands-down, my favorite Italian restaurant.

Elissa here. We had been to Magdaleno a few years ago and decided to go back. We don't get out often for date nights so we usually stick with the same couple places but wanted to give this a chance again because our last visit was good. I have celiac disease and was told they had gluten free pasta when I called (about a half hour prior). When we got there and went to order I was told they had run out. I was very disappointed that I could not order pasta and ordered something else I didn't really want that was just ok, veggies tastes boiled and chicken was swimming in sauce. With celiac your options are limited especially in an Italian restaurant so it's a rare treat to be able to have a pasta dish, which is what I wanted. They did give me gluten free bread, 3 or 4 very small pieces. Extra bread was extra money. My husband felt his meal was adequate but not really impressed. Dessert was decent but not great. The waitress and staff were nice. We are not people who like to complain/send food back or feel comfortable doing so, maybe to our detriment, especially because the meal was about $100. I don't think we'll be back.
