The Path Plant Based Metaphysical Café is truly a treasure in every sense of the word. Their food is always delicious, but what sets them apart is the incredible care and thoughtfulness they show toward their customers.
Recently, I asked if they could make their gluten-free nuts and bolts mix—a seasonal favorite of mine—and they joyfully agreed, even though they no longer focus exclusively on gluten-free offerings. When I picked it up, they mentioned they had trouble sourcing some ingredients and had to improvise, but they still put so much love into making it. They even gifted it to me, which was such an unexpected and heartwarming gesture.
This kindness turned my entire day around. It reminded me how special this café is, not just for their food (which is amazing—I even got to enjoy one of their gluten-free pretzels, my favorite!), but for the heart they pour into everything they do.
If you’re looking for a place with tasty plant-based treats and a team of people who genuinely care, The Path is the place to be. Thank you for always going the extra mile and for being such a blessing to your community!

We went here last night for supper, and we had an exceptional time. Firstly, we booked a table online, just in case it was busy (it always looks busy). We were greeted immediately upon entering the facility, and moments later were taken to our table. Our server was very prompt and friendly, he also had a great knowledge of the menu items.
Atmosphere, cleanliness and staff interactions 10/10
My partner ordered the blackened chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, he enjoyed every bite. Finished it all with a struggle but would 10/up order it again!!
10/10 taste & Presentation
I ordered the 10oz filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies (carrots and green beans). My dish came with the celiac requirement. The manager came out to talk to me about the process they take to make sure the kitchen keeps things extra safe for me. I greatly appreciate the effort, and felt super taken care of. Once the meal arrived I was estatic.
Presentation and taste 10/10
If I can cut a steak with my fork, that's a damn good steak. It was one of the most tender and flavorful steaks I have had in a long time.
Recommend (eating there, and ordering these 2 items) 10/10.
Vibrant spot with gluten-free friendly menu offering flavorful, healthy Rice Bowls in a lively atmosphere.

Our server was very kind, knowledgeable and personable. My boyfriend and his friend both ordered the Full Chicken Alfredo. My boyfriend is an Alfredo connoisseur, and Browns remains number ONE on his list. So safe to say, this dish is absolutely DELICIOUS! Very generous portion, 10/10.
I got the Southwest Rice Bowl, and a cup of Spicy Thai Chicken Soup. Both were a 10/10 in my books, they took great caution being Gluten Free. The soup I would hands down get a bowl, it had a beautiful flavor with a nice heat to it. And the Rice bowl was flavorful and packed with healthy ingredients.
Overall, 10/10 recommend.

Great selection of food. They have a lot of Gluten free options as well as vegan. Server went out of her way to help me out with my dietary issues. I highly recommend the Gold Digger dessert. It is amazing. I also ate the Salmon Zen bowl. I was actually surprised how tasty it was. The salmon was great. Not to expensive either.

State and Main serves your typical American food. It was busy on a Friday night and played lively music. The restaurant is rustic but modern and I would say lively. Wooden decor, booths, Mason jar cups. Similar to Rogue or Browns Social House.
Its very clean. The food was decent, the prices about what you would expect. I had a French Dip with French onion soup. It was okay. 16 to 20 bucks for an entree. $40/person if you get an appy, entree, drink and tip. Staff was friendly. Food took 30 minutes. They also serve burgers, sandwiches, fish n chips, salads, wings etc.
Gluten sensitive and vegetarian options available. Serves alcohol.
This lively spot offers a busy yet welcoming atmosphere with attentive, understanding service that goes above and beyond to accommodate gluten-free needs. The staff's careful attention to gluten-free protocols ensures a safe and pleasant dining experience.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and cocktail. Was so pleased with this place; the menu has a great selection. The drink menu is really fun too! Such a great atmosphere too. The gluten free bread was delicious! Everything was great, except the staff could have been more friendly. The cashier at the gift side was so cold. But, I'll be back!!
This affordable eatery offers a friendly atmosphere and quick service, making it a welcoming spot for gluten-free diners. The setting is casual and budget-conscious, ideal for those seeking generous portions with gluten-free options in Grande Prairie.

First time trying this place with my friend. Reasons for 2 stars... food was ok, we wish it had a bit more flavour, the server was not wearing a mask and a few people that came in during our time there didn’t either. Plus my friend doesn’t eat gluten and when she asked if they could make it gluten free it seemed like it was going to be a hard job to do.
This lively spot offers an engaging atmosphere with a free pool table and numerous TVs, but caution is advised for gluten-free diners due to inconsistent allergy safety practices and cross-contamination concerns. The setting is vibrant, yet gluten-sensitive guests should be vigilant.

My manager had ordered me a cauliflower crust canadian pizza through DoorDash last night (i chose cauliflower because i am severely celiac). I also selected “Gluten Allergy” before finishing ordering. When I got my pizza I thought it was fine other than the toppings I did not add, they added pepperoni and green peppers on top of what i had originally placed but also forgot the bacon (i never picked those first 2 toppings, i picked only mushrooms, bacon and ham). I showed my pizza to my boyfriend after work to double check before I decided to eat more and lord and behold it was NOT gluten free. I’m not usually the type of person to leave a bad review, but this is the second time now that they’ve completely messed up my order. This really could’ve ended badly if I were as sensitive as other celiacs (like my parents, they’d probably end up in the hospital). PLEASE BE MORE AWARE AND CAREFUL FOR FOOD ALLERGIES! I don’t think I’ll be eating here again unfortunately unless allergy safety is reviewed or something.
This spacious spot offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for casual meals with friends or family, featuring a welcoming vibe and attentive service. While food quality issues have been noted, the friendly staff strive to accommodate guests' needs, making it a comfortable place to gather.

Had the gluten free burger. Well, take a frozen bun and warm it up then put on a hamburger. No creativity in this whatsoever. Very blah and quickly thrown together. Of course the bun crumbled. Yesterday's coleslaw was not good at all. The server was fantastic and I don't hold her accountable. Sad that they can't up their game.

Wonderful food and environment! Perhaps the most gluten free options I have ever seen on a menu. English on the menu makes things easy to read. Lots of options. Go here and check this place out!
This spot offers a friendly, amazing atmosphere with a focus on accommodating gluten-free needs. While the ambiance is welcoming, experiences with staff training on gluten-free options have been mixed, highlighting the importance of attentive service for those with dietary restrictions.

I feel awful leaving this review because other employees have been amazing, but it had to be done. I don’t think I can come back after this. The man working today needs proper training and possibly an overseer. I asked for a gluten free Oaxaca, told him I am gluten free multiple times, kept reminding him what was gluten free and what wasn’t, and when we finally got the order together I even tipped because I felt bad for him. While ordering he kept saying he didn’t have any of the protein I could eat “it’s in the back, I don’t have it in the front” and I asked what my options were and he listed them out, I asked if I could do tofu then, and he said “oh that’s not gluten free”. I’m confused why he read out options that had gluten. Whatever. I paid. While making the wrap he said “I’m out of beet slaw I’ll replace it with _____” and the cilantro lime sauce was out too (I asked if it was possibly to substitute the sauce to that earlier, so it was kind of frustrating that he originally told me yes and I can’t eat most of the sauces). Then suddenly I notice he left my wrap behind and I saw the croutons and asked “are those gluten free” he said “no, I’ll remove them” and took each one by one by hand and threw them out (cross contamination). It’s unfortunate. I want to express how great my experiences have been in the past, but this man is not well trained, and I believe may not care at all. He was also weird about me asking if the croutons were gluten free. I already knew the answer but I wanted to see what he would say. I just can not believe the experience I’ve had. I never want to pay first just to find out half the ingredients are missing as he’s already making the wrap. 1:29pm June 25 2025. Just left the place.

I've been here at least 5 times in total with 2 different people within 2 weeks. The ambiance was unique in contrast to Grande Prairies typical commercial restaurant selection. This one had culture. I like the colour arrangement and decor. And there is often a movie playing without subtitles, which I enjoy. The food is tasty, and is nicely priced. I liked their chai tea especially. The staff is pleasant. And if they are busy, or out of view. Be patient, or ring the bell. They seem to be accomodating. They do mention speaking to staff about food allergies. However, an improvement that would be nice to see is allergy symbols or letters designating food that is free from: Gluten, dairy, etc. I will definitely be back. Even if just for their tea :)
