Food was awesome. Drinks were good. I have food allergies and appreciated being able to talk to the chef and get some help. There are alot of options for gluten, egg and dairy free. My only point of improvement would be the menu system. I feel like the hard copy menus need to come back… I felt it took the fine dining and customer service out of the experience to order from my phone and I would love to see that change as this place has been around for a long time and it’s always felt like a special place to come dine at. I also felt the music was also a touch too loud to hold a conversation (but that could just be me). Other than that we had a great meal.

Avoid this place if you are sensitive to gluten! We specifically ordered the fajitas with CORN tortillas, as people in our party have huge GI issues with gluten. Despite this, our server brought us FLOUR tortillas! We flagged our server but he didn't seem to understand the difference between flour and corn tortillas, and kept insisting they were "tortillas". Yes, we knew that, but wanted the corn ones we ordered. After going around in circles for a few minutes we gave up, and those that couldn't eat gluten just piled the fajitas on some corn chips we'd ordered earlier. The flavor of the fajitas was off somehow, and i didn't enjoy it. Definitely a disappointing meal. Mgmt definitely needs to train their staff on the differences between these two types of tortillas!
Also, I appreciate that many people seem to love the Mexican-adjacent theme, but I bounced off hard from the place: I found it extremely loud, and the tables packed way too close together. I wanted to leave almost as soon as I'd sat down. You might like the loud, in-your-face atmosphere but it wasn't for us.

We had a really lovely meal at Pedro's last night. The food was amazing as always and the service is just so fun and friendly. It was my son's 18th so a complimentary tequila shot was presented and much appreciated. We have 2 coeliacs and they were both accommodated for with extra care with gluten free food. I never post, I know ppl say that, but literally I'd rather go home and process my thoughts than write a review, but my daughter is 10yo and has celiac. We have been coming here as our go to for her to have a gf burrito kids pack with her younger sister ever since her diagnosis. It has been a life saver...however the last time we came the manager gave us a hard time, apparently what we have been ordering for months now is no longer an option, there are NO gf kids meal options!! Apparently In 2025. It is already very expensive to eat out with celiac, and we always pay a $2.50 surcharge for the gf wraps...but now we have to buy an adult size burrito if she wants it to be gf. For Celiac gf is not a choice. It's a condition...this is very poor for 2025.

We popped in for a late lunch, and even though there were only two staff (one on the Drive-Through and one on the till, and one of the two eftpos machines was broken, so they had to walk it from the Drive Through to the inside till, we were served in good time.
The staff were cheerful under pressure and basically performed the miracle of handling all this unfortunate happening with aplomb. The food was hot, fresh and delicious and they made sure our gluten free food was safe for our coeliac sufferer.

I was in Mexican Kitchen a few years ago when visiting Perth and couldn’t wait to go back after returning recently. However I was left very disappointed. We ordered fajitas, tacos and kitchen nachos. The food did come fast, however it was not at all hot. The fajita plate is meant to be sizzling but it was cold, the nachos and tacos were also lukewarm. My gf is celiac, we asked for gluten free and clearly they did not come out with gluten free, she has been sick since. The staff, although nice, it seems that all they are doing is microwaving the food and bringing it out. I would not recommend ever coming here.
