Thank you SO MUCH for all the gluten free options. Amazing service. Place could do a masterclass on poached eggs (my grandmother would have been very impressed)
Just had an amazing experience at Selia Bar and had to share! The entire place is 100% gluten free, which was such a relief — no need to worry about cross-contamination at all. It’s so refreshing to be able to choose anything from the menu without second-guessing or stressing.
There were so many delicious options to pick from, and everything we tried was fantastic. Our server, Erick, was absolutely wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better with his thoughtful service.
If you’re looking for a safe and genuinely enjoyable place to eat out, I highly recommend Selia Bar. I left feeling full, happy, and totally at ease.
The food is incredible! The chicken crack and cauliflower is the best combination, popcorn chicken and fried cauliflower. If you’re gluten free and haven’t been here, you need to go. I come here with people who can eat gluten all the time and they also love it.
We were celebrating an 80th birthday. Jeremy was very accommodating with our reservation and we were able to bring in a gluten free cupcake for the bday girl. There was only 3 of us and all our meals were absolutely delicious. However, our server Cailie was extremely inattentive. We had trouble to get just a water. She never offered any of us another wine, tea/coffee or dessert - even when she brought out the single cupcake we had brought in. Upselling is somewhat expected as a customer, but we certainly didn’t have to worry about that! Anyway, I would go again because it wasn’t my first time and I know the food is great and service is usually awesome as well. Tonight was just a big disappointment being I picked it myself for this special event.
A staple every time I go to Calgary. As a celiac I feel so safe here, staff always take time to make sure I understand what I can/cannot eat. I would say about 80 percent of the menu can be made gluten free including the fried chicken. It’s great to be able to share with friends and not sacrifice taste. Could not recommend more.
At first glance this place wasn't what I was expecting. The cook was super friendly and welcoming. The gluten free chicken was SO GOOD!! I'd definitely have it again. The dynamite roll was ok, the gf breaded shrimps were the star of that dish and the rest were just supporting actors.. thanks
We went bc a friend's recommendation and it was worth it.
We had some beers and tried the poutine, which was delicious, crunchy chips and super tasty.
There is gluten free beer.
Went to this place for brunch for the first time and had 3 amazing things to note. 1) the coconut chai was to die for and I would return just for that drink alone. 2) the vegan eggs Benedict on falafel was so perfectly savoury and delicious, as someone eating vegan and gluten free, I haven’t had something that covers my dietary restrictions taste so good in a long time. 3) the portion sizes!!! The quesadilla my family had was enormous, the side salads were huge! Amazing to have leftovers for later and even though we ate a lot, we didn’t feel gross after (which we often do with other places) because the ingredients were so clean. The staff were so kind and the restaurant gives cute earthy vibes. Hands down will be going back! (Wish we got photos to share!)
Our CSSC team enjoys coming to the brewhouse to socialize and have some grub after/before our games! The atmosphere is unmatched and the food specials are great! Love the wings and they have loads of options for those who need to avoid the Gluten - be sure to speak to the staff and they will always give great recommendations. Wing nights are a hit! I hear their monthly steak nights are really good, I have yet to go a try it out!
Magnificent,
The experience is incredibly simple, with a massive ordering board, as it should be at a burger shop. Bravo!
I ordered a gluten free double with cheese, lettuce tomato onion and their Clive sauce. The burgers were made to be juicy yet crispy on the edges, just how I like it. They did right by the CARE gluten free bun, as it should be the only valid option in Alberta for buns as they don't crumble and are nice and supple.
The fries are from a dedicated gluten free fryer and are CRISPY. I decided to review them based on the fact that they took care of my dietary needs perfectly, and their hours run late, Wich to catch a gluten free bite after 9 on 17th Ave is seemingly impossible, this place hit the spot. The staff were friendly and took care to both ask me if gluten free is a preference or health need.
Paige was our waitress and she absolutely made our night. Very friendly, quick, and always came at the right time to fill our drinks. As well as not being able to consume gluten she made me feel very comfortable in ordering any one of the gluten friendly chooses knowing that it was going to be taken serious. Will come again as she did an exceptional job.
Picked up a gluten free lunch today, $30 for 1 meal is kinda ridiculous. I got pasta with the burger and it was an added $8 up charge to get a small portion of gross pasta. The pasta was horrible, very clearly reheated (not well) and definitely a day or 2 old. I could have made Kraft dinner that tasted better than their barely reheated pasta. I don’t know if they changed chefs but their pasta used to be amazing. Very disappointing
Wonderful staff. Nice atmosphere. Im a celiac and have other allergies. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and that most items are Gluten Free. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be the food. The guacamole is amazing!!!!
I'm extremely pleased by the staff here.
I had a food allergy I made my server aware of at the start. When they brought my meal, I had about .2 seconds to stare at it before another server swooped in and stole it back stating "Sorry this one isn't gluten free", and the manager appeared from the other side with the correct order. The whole switch out happened in less than 10 seconds.
On top of that, there was no discernable difference to the appearance of the meals, to my eye anyways, so I'm even more impressed by how quick they noticed the wrong one had been presented first.
Finally- it was Valentine's, and they were absolutely brutally packed and still managed to do all this with a smile.
The food was great but it could have been awful at that point (as so many gluten free substitutions are anyways) and I still would have been amazed.
Food was good. We had four different kinds of pizza including a gluten free one. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten free ingredients which was appreciated, unfortunately they lacked a sense of urgency and we waited a lot. Disappointing because we really enjoyed the food and the patio.
I’ll start by saying maybe it’s better in store, however the $13 chili dog is rather pathetic, literally a top dog with a spoon full of “chili” and two pickled jalapeños, 4 bites is all I got out of it, my girlfriend got the burger, the patties almost had the texture of meat with chunks of eraser in it, for being called saucy burger there was nothing saucy about it, it’s was drier than a popcorn fart. The gluten free chicken burger was actually the highlight, which for a burger place is pretty backwards, but again, not saucy and really didn’t taste like much of anything. If they need someone to show them how to make a proper burger or what salt and pepper is, let me know. Literally just go anywhere else. For 19 bucks there’s a million better burgers out there, and the fries were literally not even worth mentioning, maybe the chefs never got their taste back after Covid or something.
Ordered a gluten - dairy free burger, so no cheese and they suggested ketchup as a dairy free sauce, so it ended up being the driest, tasteless, unnecessarily too spicy burger I've ever eaten. Fries were just okay also. They didn't have a hand disinfectant which in my opinion is a necessity when eating burgers with hands. Not coming back again, sorry.
The food is good, love the gluten-free options. The atmosphere is cool. Only thing I didn't love is that the kitchen staff don't wear gloves or hair nets. Food safety and sanitation are super important.
I stopped in for a quick lunch during a business trip. It’s always hard to find great vegan cuisine when I am traveling for work.
This location was amazing, their menu had so many great vegan options to choose from along with great substitutions for gluten-free, soy free, etc.
I went with the lemongrass, tofu, beet salad, and I asked to add some capers to it. The server was extremely friendly and had no problem accommodating my request. It was absolutely delicious. I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. I will gladly be back when I am back in the area.
Ambience was great with a fun vibe. Very trendy. Even the bathroom was a lot of fun some cool wallpaper and fun color scheme.
We had a great experience. We had a gluten allergy at our table and Ember and James were amazing dealing with it tonight. And the food was delicious as usual.
Food was good and served in big portions, but not really spectacular. The bacon was very salty and sweet at the same time. One vegan option available - vegan hash. Very good selection of vegetarian and gluten free meals. Very noisy atmosphere, not a place where you're planning to have any discussion. Ketchup comes is small plastic packets, more suited for a fast food place. Staff very friendly, courteous and helpful.
Went to Joeys for a celebratory team night. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and taken care of. Both Jake and Ethan were incredibly attentive, ensuring we had all the water we could possibly dream of; the suggestions for both food and drink—sometimes off the menu—were stellar.
I have celiac, so getting the suggestions for how to make my plate the best it can possibly be while also being safe for me was lovely.
The molten lava cake is always my favourite.

Came here for brunch with the wife and as two people with serious allergies(gluten and dairy )dinning out can be very hard. But our server jade was so accommodating and recommended great food and drinks that we loved. The food and drinks came out very quick and were tasty. Very professional and friendly environment. Good cooks but props to our server. We will be coming back as she made our experience worth the drive to this location
I have been coming to this Blaze Pizza location for over a year, and I have nothing but great things to say!
The staff is always so friendly, warmly welcoming customers as they arrive and wishing them a great day as they leave. From ordering at the start of the line to picking up your pizza at the end, the entire process is seamless. They offer Dine-in, Take out & Delivery.
Personally, I love pesto sauce, and theirs is fantastic! I've also heard from many others that every sauce here is top-notch.
I recently brought my partner, who has celiac disease, and the staff was absolutely phenomenal in handling his allergy. They washed their hands and changed gloves multiple times, pulled a fresh sauce bin with a clean spoon for his pizza, and even ensured his pizza was cooked on a dedicated gluten-free tray. For the first time ever, he was able to enjoy a delicious pizza without getting sick, and that meant so much to us. The entire team worked together to make sure he was safe, going above and beyond in the best way possible.
I highly recommend this location—it's simply the best!
And don’t forget, today is Pi Day! Your second pizza is just $3.14 (what a deal!). Be patient with Blaze Pizza, as they always do their best to accommodate every guest’s request, even during busy times. Spread kindness, enjoy your pizza, and be part of this wonderful community!
My regular for getting chai lattes and eggs Benny, I’m unfortunately a gluten unfriendly human but this bunch spot has lots of gluten free options so I don’t spend my entire afternoon on the loo! Staff are lovely, wish they had live music 😘
Loved it! Food was delicious. The coconut corn bread was to die for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great value for the quality! Super accommodating for celiacs.
Really delicious tacos at a great price, I’m celiac and felt very safe eating here. Everything was gluten free. These tacos were on par with the ones I’ve had in Mexico City. Lovely service as well, would recommend!
I would NOT recommend this place. Had a gluten free waffle and it was cold and so dry I asked for a second tablespoon of syrup to choke it down. We got charged an extra 2 dollars for the tablespoon of syrup. Grossly overpriced for really second rate food. Next time will go local and Canadian. Would not even give one star! 🇨🇦
It's always a joy to dine in at Gus's and I can say personally that theur location next to the Foothills hospital has been a blessing to a LOT of people, especially hospital staff who want alternatives to hospital cafeteria food. My team loves planning team lunches at Gus's!
I love how many different size options there are to the pizzas. A small is a perfect amount for 1 person! Also awesome that they have gluten free options. Their pizza crust is actually delicious. My favourite pizza is The California! I've tried a few others but I always go back to that favourite. The one in my photos is the pepperoni, bacon, peppers pizza (:
Also want to mention the staff at Gus's have the brightest smiles and just radiate joy. They really want to ensure their customers leave with a smile on their face.
