Absolutely loved that this restaurant is 100% gluten free! However the service and food was mediocre. The chicken tajine was well flavoured and a good portion to price, however the rice was quite dry to the point where it was a bit crunchy…. The braised beef sandwich was very disappoint. For the price it’s very small and didn’t really have any of the toppings listed in the menu. Service was slow and not very coordinated, by the time I received my dish everyone else at the table was already done eating. The chicken waffle sandwich was actually very good and a good portion for the price!
Love the location and atmosphere and the vegan milk options for coffee were appreciated. The vegan baked good were okay but I think the issue was they were also gluten free. Since some people are both vegan and gluten free, I know it is difficult for restaurants to maintain separate options but the vegan baked goods would probably have been better with gluten. I didn't have a meal but they also had a lot of vegan meal options which is appreciated. They also have vegan desserts to consider.
We recently had the pleasure of an unforgettable evening with Fergie’s After Five in-home chef catering service, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. With friends visiting from out of town to celebrate our newborn daughter, we wanted a memorable culinary experience, and chef Nick delivered beyond measure!
The menu was a masterpiece—each dish was unique, local, and bursting with flavors. The Vegetarian Grazing Board set the stage perfectly for cocktail hour, offering an amazing variety of flavors and textures. The Oyster Mushroom Tempura with black garlic caramel, gochujang sesame crema, and kimchi was a hit, with layers of umami and freshness. The Pine Mushroom dish with rice Koji congee and black truffle hollandaise was simply exquisite, balancing earthy tones and rich flavors. The Smoked Potato Fritter with tomato jam, cashew cream, and roasted squash hummus was a delightful surprise—every element in perfect harmony. We enjoyed crafting our own cocktails, but they also offered a bartending service and optional wine pairings.
To finish, the Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème was a dream, complemented by rhubarb jam and hazelnut olive oil cake. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted and beautifully plated, showcasing incredible ingredients. Chef Nick was able to create an unbelievable culinary experience and tailored to the dietary preferences of our guests (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free) and left our kitchen even cleaner than he found it!
If you’re looking for an in-home chef experience that is both intimate and exceptional, this service is a must-try. We can’t wait to do it again!
This place is such a gem. Stunning views and a really cosy pub feel inside. The server was super positive, friendly and welcoming and instantly gave you a good vibe. She knew how to make everything gluten free and was helpful with the menu. I was really impressed with the food it was delicious.
If you are looking at authentic place this is not the one. The service is just "no service." The food is just OK but not don't expect much. The good thing is that there is gluten free options
Wonderful little shop with tons of gluten free options. They have a whole section dedicated to gluten free pastas. Great chill atmosphere and coffee.
Great to swing by when heading home.
The food is delicious. The staff are always so pleasant and helpful. Especially Juli, she is amazing! Burger James does a great job creating a truly home style burger. He always has a gluten free burger available for my daughter. Since moving to the A-frame brewery, it has been a perfect match. Burgers and beers are the best!
Plentiful gluten free options. Some nice special rolls. GF soy sauce, wasabi, miso. They have a gluten free menu but it's outdated, some items from the main menu like the white sea roll can also be made GF if you ask.
Quirky place with a broad set of food. It’s a fun gem of a place. Don’t sleep on it. The special tacos were unique. Worked with my friend with Celiacs (no gluten). Would go again.
Unreal GLUTEN FREE (celiac safe) - cookies, sandwiches, house made chips. Great coffee and eats for gluten normals too. Chill atmosphere, with kid friendly spaces to run about. Beautiful property to explore and enjoy the treats. This was a great find on our Squamish visit. Highly recommended!!
Everything is perfect!
It’s our favourite place to stop in Squamish.
Food is amazing, organic and gluten free options are available, delicious coffee and deserts, service such a lovely and friendly.
Recommend everyone to visit this place!!!
Came here when we were on vacation. I let my server know I have a gluten allergy and she said they have gluten free buns. I asked her if the hasbrowns were safe and she assured me they were gluten free. Our food was served and I started eating the sandwich and halfway through I had a feeling the bun was not gluten free. We then asked a server walking by if it was gluten free and she said no it’s not. I said “it’s an allergy it’s suppsoed to be gf” She basically took my plate and left? They then brought me out a new plate that was gf after I had already eaten half of my other meal with gluten. Don’t recommend this place if you have allergies as they’re not taken serious at all!!
We ordered pick up from this restaurant tonight, as we were staying in the hotel. When I was ordering over the phone, the girl was helpful but did not know that beyond meat chicken is NOT gluten free. If I didn’t know better I would have agreed to it and would have got very sick because I am a celiac. I explained that I’m sure it’s not gluten free and proceeded to google it, she finally offered to check with the kitchen and came back to say it wasn’t a safe option for my dietary restriction.
Then later, My husband picked up an order for the two of us, and he tipped during payment. While he was leaving one of the girls commented on the tip “ wow a whole $12.00”. As far as I’m concerned we picked up the food and a tip isn’t mandotory, the audacity to comment out loud on something like this is unbelievable.
The bartender was very nice when we picked up our food though!
This place is pretty awesome! My go to for a social night out. I don’t drink but their non alcoholic beverages are a win and their food is great to snack on. I’m celiac and they are very accommodating with that. Can’t beat the views from the patio and the service is always 10/10. Highly recommend checking out this spot.
Always a great vibe at the backyard and I appreciate that they have vegan options! Vegan mains include two different pizzas and a cheeseburger. We ordered the vegan cheeseburger but sadly you are required to order a gluten-free bun (+$3) since they use a non vegan brioche bun. We also ordered the vegan poutine which I would not recommend as the cheese was not melted.
Still really like this place but hoping their vegan options improve!
Came here with my partner while on a romantic weekend away from Vancouver. Did not anticipate how incredible it could be! Most of the food is made in house. Although the share plates were excellent, the show stopper was the Chocolate Findant dessert. They are able to accommodate gluten free. Also, try the Chili Hot Chocolate 🙂
I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! A blessing for vegan and gluten free folks. Such delicious pho , especially tasty in the rainy Squamish weather. I highly recommend people to come here and try their vegetarian pho ( a vegan AND gluten free dish, super healthy)
Came here with someone who has celiac disease as there are lots of gluten free options available on the menu. Ordered a burger with the gluten free bun and our server was familiar with celiac and ensured he entered the order as an allergy. This made us feel confident that when the burger arrived it would be gluten free. After eating about half we realized it was not. Celiac is a very serious disease and even trace amounts of gluten can cause severe sickness, let alone half a burger bun. We accept and understand the risks of cross contamination but to be given the completely wrong item when an allergy was specified is completely unacceptable.
Again, this was NOT the servers fault as he did what he could to note down all allergies, it seemed there was lots of poor communication and procedures happening in the kitchen as we had a problem with another menu item arriving with half the ingredients missing as well. We did get our meal comped which is appreciated but the damage was already done and we had to leave immediately to make it home before the symptoms started to kick in.
If a restaurant seems to market themselves as allergy friendly with their menu they need to take allergies much more seriously as it can cause severe harm to people eating here.
Great spot with gluten free bread now. As someone who’s celiac, it’s pretty awesome to have a spot in Squamish that has a sandwich option. Thanks for a great sandwich!
Such a great vibe with amazing staff. Great coffee. Vegan and gluten free treat options and a super personable owner who will make you feel so welcomed in the space.
Can’t recommend enough!
Updating my review as I’m now attending classes. Highly recommend attending. Been to a few of Sarah’s classes and they have been so good for movement and getting me back in the habit.
