There were new planters for outside, creating a divide between them and other restaurants and this caused a problem for wheelchairs. However, staff were quick to come out with a ramp and an apology. Plenty of wheelchair space inside and accessible toilet. Great range of meals and a separate veggie/vegan and a gluten free one too.
Blown away by this little gem!
I had spotted this place on find me gluten free and after seeing all the positive reviews decided to give it a try. The atmosphere on walking in was lovely and we was greeted by a lovely gentleman at the door who we later got chatting to called Yohan.
I was amazed by the insane amount of gluten free options on the menu, never have I been to a restaurant where you can order gluten free lasagne, so of course that’s what I got, I also shared a gluten free garlic bread with my husband and had the caprise starter, my husband had the calamari and seafood linguine!! Now when I say this food was on another level… the lasagne was perfect, the gluten free garlic bread wasn’t like your normal frisbee type gluten free rubbish you get in most places you could literally tell the dough had been freshly made!! My husband absolutely loved his and honestly there wasn’t a single thing we could fault!! Special thanks to the lovely gentleman yohan he genuinely was the most loveliest person and you can tell he really cares about his customers and takes an interest in the people he is serving! I will most definitely be back..
It really is quality, tasty food 😀.
The prices were very reasonable and there were great choices available.
Nothing was a problem for the waitress, she was very pleasant and good at her job.
The main draw for coming here was the gluten free options. Practically everything can be made for GF requirements which is bloody fantastic for us, thank you.
The oinion rings and buffalo wings were amazing ans were the burgers and fries.
Best gluten free and vegan option. We are vegan and we know we will find great options. My spouse is coeliac and we always enjoy eating extremely tasty food. We had the green pho soup-delicious and the lunch special with the curry dish-delicious too. Shirley and Rory were our helpful and friendly servers today.
I had picked our hotel in Liverpool for a long weekend break partly due to it's proximity to the Free State Kitchen and it's rave reviews. So relieved it did not disappoint.
Had the double French Onion burger which was the best burger I've had in my life (with some tough competition in the US and Spain), which is extra difficult these days as I developed Coeliac disease in the last few years. My wife had the Macaroni Cheese which was good, but also the Chocolate Brownie which was (also) the best she's ever had.
So fantastic and refreshing to see food that is so often underrated in the UK as cheap fast food staples be prepared with fantastic ingredients by people who really care about what they are doing. Service was great as well.
When we're next back in Liverpool, this is now a mandatory stopover for us!
This was an excellent brunch!! Best we found in Europe. One of my best ever. Really delicious eggs Benedict and great for me that they have gluten free too. Everything seemed fresh. Busy place but still very good service. They deserve 6 or 7 stars!!
Along with the Bold Street branch, the best place to eat in Liverpool, hands down. The Albert Dock branch staff are particularly lovely. Caters for gluten and dairy free folk too.
This cafe was so good that we went 3 days in a row while visiting Liverpool. Very tasty dishes, no matter what we ordered. Catered incredibly well for gluten intolerance. Really friendly and helpful staff, and nice atmosphere. I’ll miss those poached veggs!
Nice place to eat and happy it served gluten free food.. I particularly enjoyed the afternoon menu as there was more gluten free things on there like the pizza..
A group of us went for a meal on Friday afternoon and from start to finish the service was excellent. Thankyou John (our server), he couldn't have done more. The food was excellent and as I have a gluten allergy even this wasn't a problem. It made a difference having a good choice of gluten free food and that it tasted great. All in all a great dining experience.

We came yesterday to have a dinner in during visiting Liverpool.
Our waiter Cris was very attentive and friendly also had a good knowledge about menu ( vegan and gluten free).
My son was super happy with children portions.
And the cherry on top was delicious latte ( made by Marina ) I am very picky with coffee and very often weak coffee can destroy all nice experience in restaurant but not this time.
That was brilliant!
Been twice over this weekend. We to convention at M&S arena and tried Salt House Tapas. The staff Lauren and the Manager Lydia were amazing and very attentive with my intolerance to gluten and lactose. We went again Sunday and the staff were excellent.
What a fantastic meal. We had the lunch deal. 2 course for £15 . The gluten-free menu is available, too. So tasty cooked on open coals. Wow, amazing to see.
Good overall, we asked for vegetarian gluten-free options and were presented with a specialised gluten-free menu. Impressive, but then all main courses were meat :-(. Asked a second time and said vegetarian gluten-free and received a Vegan Menu with main courses including gluten. It's not a great start when you consider food intolerances have huge effects on people's lives. After a poor start, the food was outstanding. Dips came with gluten-free pittas, which was fantastic, and chips were cooked separately for my GF friend. I had the chicken souvla, which was fabulous.
Would recommend and return.
Fabulous Pad Thai and Spring Rolls! I need to eat gluten free. The service was excellent and they are very knowledgable about Celiac and Gluten sensitivities. Plus the atmosphere and view was beautiful. My husband enjoyed his gluten laden fried rice!
Great family celebration dinner at Lunyalita. Everything tasted yummy and service was good. Loads of gluten free options. Shout out to Mikey who looked after us particularly well, nothing too much trouble. Particularly grateful for the extra care he took to ensure my meal was coeliac safe - this means so much; I could enjoy my food without the usual worry! Thank you!
Tasteless and dry breakfast.
Very good service but the food was so disappointing. The beef was very hard and I was struggling to chew. The prices are also ridiculously high.
Only pro was that they have a gluten free menu, I still wouldn’t recommend
Absolutely lovely place in a great location. We went in first of all for a hot drink but visited again when we realised they had gluten free options! Servers were really knowledgeable about allergens and the food was wonderful. So glad we discovered Peaberry on our trip to Liverpool!
Great spot on the Albert Dock!
We went on a sunny Friday evening and had a lovely table upstairs with a view of the water. Michael, our waiter, was fantastic—really attentive and helpful, especially with my gluten intolerance. He guided me through the menu and made everything easy.
The food and drinks were great—I had a pizza, my partner had the seabass, and a Biscoff martini for dessert (highly recommend this was. 10/10!).
Thanks again to Michael for making the evening so relaxed and enjoyable. He’s a real credit to the team!
As someone who eats gluten free it’s really difficult to find a good burger. Everything is always cooked fresh to order and always spot on. Never go anywhere else for a burger now 10/10
Really good for gluten free and coeliac disease even the drinks they considered with cross contamination, really positive experience here, highly recommend
Really wonderful place with great service.
Great sized portions and delicious food.
Menu is very well labelled with gluten and dairy free options so you cannot go wrong.
As long as the rice doesn't have the 'labneh' you're good!!!
Exquisite. The food, service and venue are excellent. Ideal for an anniversary, first date or a fine eating experience. Even as someone who doesn’t eat meat and is gluten free, I left so full! It is very meat heavy, so ethical vegans may find it difficult. I had the risotto which had a beautiful earthy flavour, and the sides and salad bar are delicious! Highly recommended and will return.
We fined at the Allerton Hall a few days ago, and from start to finish the experience was great.
We rang ahead beforehand to discuss our group needing a wheelchair access, and one of the group being severely allergic to gluten - and the manager I spoke to on the phone was very helpful with addressing both of these issues.
Upon arrival, we were helped in by a member of the team, and shown through to an accessible table. We opted to order from the main menu due to allergy concerns. We were initially served by Luke for drinks, but who then passed over to Mark as manager to take the order with someone who had a bit more knowledge of the allergy procedures - and whilst placing the order the chef on duty Chris happened to come by and also helped put our mind at ease about the policies/procedures that were in place to make things safe. It's great to see the allergy taken seriously, and everyone involved couldn't have been more helpful and understanding at every stage.
The food itself was very nice as well, with our group going for a good mix of different types of dishes, but everyone being very satisfied at the end.
All in all, a great experience. Our thanks go out to everyone involved in making our night.
Fast service and delicious food! You get great value for money on the portions, and we loved the option of gluten-free pasta. We booked in advance to guarantee a table, which was probably a good move. However, I don't think that this is strictly necessary, as you would only really need to wait a few minutes.
Just got icecream here, I have coeliac disease and my server Elisha was amazing regarding it! she took the time to thoroughly check through all the ice creams to see which I could have, and was very caring and understanding! She didn’t make me feel like a burden at all which is how servers make people with allergies feel a lot of the time!
We had a great experience; the steak was cooked perfectly, generous sides and exceptionally good service from our server, James, who helpful and attentive.
There was a big range of gluten free options, and I felt very confidant that our order was GF!
Just opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. We wanted a quick coffee and snack after travelling on the train and were very impressed with the cafe. My husband had a croissant and coffee whilst I had a gf chocolate brownie and tea with oatmilk. Very generous portions and tasty food.
The staff were lovely and great atmosphere in the cafe; clearly a really popular venue.
Would definitely revisit; highly recommended!
Update: I’m back 6 months later on a quick visit to Liverpool; where else would I go for a brunchy lunch?
I had 2 perfect poached eggs on gluten free toast, beautifully cooked and very tasty too!
Beautiful old pub with outdoor sitting area and play area for kids, serves locals and visitors equally, delicious food and good choice of drinks. Limited gluten/wheat free meals.
Very pleasant meal. We walked in without a booking and they accommodated us. Limited time, so waiter gave an accurate recommendation for the amount of food we could reasonably enjoy in the time we had available. Great service, terrific food. Caters to Gluten free / coeliac. Highly recommend.
Went on spec, on the basis of earlier reviews and it was such excellent vegetarian food that we went again with our daughter the next night. She has gluten intolerance and was brought a special menu from which to choose. Excellent, wish we lived nearer!
