Plan B is my favorite restaurant in Glastonbury. It’s a gluten-free friendly environment where I can enjoy actual fried foods. That is not a common experience being GF.
Not only do the food and drinks deserve five stars; I would like to recognize the staff. One person that deserves honorable mention is Izzy. Over three years, Izzy has been my server on numerous occasions. Her kind and courteous nature leads me to request her as my server every time. She is very conscious of food allergies and takes them seriously. Thank you Izzy for making Plan B a place I always want to come back to!
Worth the wait! The best gluten free pancakes we have ever had. My boys and I have celiac and Ken and his team take extra care of ensuring there is no cross contamination. We all agreed that this was the best breakfast we have had on our east coast road trip. From the omelettes to the pancakes everything was top tier and Sue who waited on us has owned t
A solid option for me and my family members with severe gluten allergies. I wish their gluten free bun options were better and I don't personally eat their pizza - since, while it's a separate gluten free crust, it is cooked in the same brick oven. I also don't eat any of their fried options as last I checked with wait staff it was a shared fryer. I've found dinner here to be a more enjoyable experience for me- it always seems like there's more options that they can accommodate me with - plus the desserts are excellent.
I don’t usually eat at this place since I am plant based / GF and there are no options. However, in the month of August I went to the Hartford Baking CO Glastonbury branch to make a purchase for a patient. I purchased 2 loaves of their country sourdough bread. As I was paying, I mentioned to the cashier how sad it made me that they do not carry ANY options that would match my dietary restrictions. The girl kindly said that “they do offer a Gluten Free version of their country sourdough bread” as she handed it to me. I was stunned and asked again if she was 100% certain that bread was GF? She said “yes, absolutely”. I bought it and told her I’d be back for more. As I couldn’t be any happier, I told a few people around about this new discovery. The day later, as I was walking by the WeHa branch I decided to stop by and get some more. To my surprise, I was told that “country sourdough GF bread doesn’t exist”. I kindly mentioned that it does in the Glastonbury branch and that I purchased one a day earlier. A man approached the counter and he introduced himself as the supervisor for the Hartford area and he assured me there’s not such thing as GF bread in their stores. He treated me as I was crazy , let alone the fact that I was 9 months pregnant then and went to ask for a product that was sold to me at the offer location. And you would expect people to treat you nicer. Anyways, I left but was very upset at how I was treated. I called the Glastonbury branch right away and an employee took my name and promised a call back from the manager. Tracy, the manager, called weeks later. She had this attitude. I swear I could not believe this person. I kindly explained how I’m celiac, 9 months pregnant , broke into hives due to her employees negligence, and not only she did NOT apologize , she wanted to be right and make me believe this situation simply “didn’t happen”. That there’s no way someone would sell me a GF bread at their store etc etc. again. Basically told me I made the story up and was crazy. Just calling to complain for the sake of it … like I didn’t have more important things to do at 39 weeks pregnant. I understand mistakes do happen, but the inability of fixing them, or even apologizing it’s beyond my comprehension. Tracy talked on top of me and was extremely rude and condescending. I ended up hanging up and mentioned writing a review about the situation. Anyways, won’t ever step a foot again in these stores and spreading the experience around town as well. Very very disappointed!!!!
This used to be my favorite pizza place for gluten free pizza.. now I’m so disappointed to say it’s a waste of money. This used to be our “splurge place” for pizza because it was more money but always delicious. I paid $50 for two of the smallest pizzas tonight. My gluten free pizza I ordered with marinated chicken on it and it was cold, overcooked and had BREADED CHICKEN on it. Why on earth would they put breaded chicken on a gluten free pizza???? I spent $27 on an over cooked pizza that I couldn’t even eat. Will not be retuning.
Our family just dined at Bertucci's for the first time in many years. We had stopped going when we found out members of our family needed to eat a gluten-free diet. We were delighted to find out that Bertucci's has some gluten-free options! The food was delicious, the salad just as good as I remember, and our service by our waitress Heather was absolutely fantastic! Our family will be back soon :)
We love this place! I am gluten, dairy, and soy free, so literally the only thing on the menu that I can eat is the beef tips with a side of broccoli, but they are delicious - seasoned and cooked perfectly. My 10 month old daughter loved it as well and my 11 year old son always asks to come here.
