I love the food here. It is so flavorful and the portions are nice sized. They are as kids friendly as they can be with the older adult atmosphere. I recommend the burgers. The wine selection is fantastic! They have a great gluten feee menu.

Staying in Williamsburg we were wanting some well rated Italian. Man was this place fantastic! Some of the best Italian I have ever had and I’ve had a lot. I got the hefty Chef’s Sampler and the wife got a delicious gluten free spinach pizza. Both were absolutely divine. The salads we had with the house dressing, super flavorful. For desert we got the house made Tiramisu and the gluten free chocolate cake. Both again were fantastic.
Super nice staff and atmosphere, you could tell it was family owned/ran. Sals is an absolute must go to.
The wine area downstairs is fine, but charging me $11 for like a thimble size of turkey, one small piece of cheese, and one freaking mustard packet is mind blowing. I have celiacs so can’t have the bread, and they gave me enough to feed a mouse at full price. Ridiculous.
I have celiacs, so going here and having safe GF options is great! I did wish I knew about the GF pastry delivery being at 9am. Other than that, great coffee, vibes, and food.
I have gotten sick the three times I tried to make it work here, as my daughter loves it. The crust and pizza is pretty good but their spoons and utensils for the sauce touches ALL the pizza dough when they are preparing. Even if you ask for a new utensil, it doesn’t take away that the sauce is already contaminated. I asked for a new batch of sauce that wasnt used yet because of my celiacs and they looked at me like I had three heads. This could potentially be a good spot if they had a gluten free dedicated sauce.
I love this restaurant because my wife has allergies to gluten, crustaceans, nuts, etc.,and never gets sick. They are very careful. The food is good. Today, I had salmon. The salmon was good, but the steak here is great. ( I had the steak several times in the past... I needed to adjust for cholesterol control.). I am sure you will enjoy this restaurant, especially if you have food allergies.
Probably one of the three best meals I've ever eaten. Everything was beyond fantastic. The lavender rose lemonade was so refreshing and delicious. Rarely do I see so many gluten free options but I could eat a majority of the menu. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I tried some of my son's butter chicken and it actually made me laugh with joy.
The atmosphere was also very inviting and cozy. It was much bigger than I thought it was going to be judging from the outside.
Joshua was our server and he was very helpful as my partner is gluten free and he made sure he knew all the options. Our order was taken and came out fast and was very good. Thanks Joshua!
The cafe is loud and the coffee is very sweet. Personally I did not enjoy my coffee. They also do not have any gluten free bakery options, which was a huge bummer!
I had a great experience at Amber Ox! We had a delicious dinner and the service was excellence. We were a group of 4 and one of us had celiacs disease (gluten free) - the staff was very accommodating and made sure everything we ordered was free from any cross contamination. We split the Biscuit Board and Roasted Hickory Carrots as an appetizer. The carrots were perfectly cooked, and I enjoyed the pairing with chimichurri and beet hummus. The highlight was my entree - Seared Chesapeake Bay Rockfish with pea puree, lemon farro, and ramp chimichurri. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the pairing made a perfect combination. My only let down was the grape-soda radler, which was just a weird flavor combination and tasted too artificial… it would have been better with just sparkling grape juice.
Gluten Free pizza was not very good, way too much cheese caked on. Overall dishes were meh, not terrible but nothing special. The garlic knots were stale, just surprisingly terrible as it’s a basic Italian staple. There are better options not far away if you need the Italian food fix.
We were visiting Williamsburg for a family vacation and found Cook’s on Find Me Gluten Free. Our two daughters (14 & 12) have Celiac disease and this restaurant was perfect for them. Cooks has a dedicated GF fryer so we started with the wings which were delicious. The girls had a burger (GF bun) and fries. My wife raved about the brisket burger she had and I really enjoyed the Reuben. The fries, though, were some of the best I have had in awhile. They are hand cut
and were cooked perfectly. When we arrived, we checked in with the manager and confirmed the GF options. He could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. The waitress was great as well. I highly recommend Cook’s especially if you have a gluten intolerance!
We reserved one of the dining rooms for our wedding reception dinner. It was a wonderful experience! We had a great time planning and coordinating with Howard who is really helpful and knowledgeable. The food, wine, and desserts were absolutely spectacular. The restaurant is already beautiful so we only added a minimal amount of floral arrangements for an elegant dinner. Service was lovely and our Day of Coordinator worked seamlessly with Le Yaca staff to set up. We definitely recommend ordering plenty of amuse bouche. There were incredible gluten free options for all the courses. The pastry chef made us DELICIOUS cake and dessert options. I really couldn't have asked for anything better. Highly recommend Le Yaca French Restaurant for anything from a formal dinner to a casual lunch. They WILL take care of you.
Came in with a toddler and the people up front were so friendly with her it made our short wait so great. I got the gluten free pepperoni pizza….WOW, just wow. So delicious. My bf got the regular pepperoni…he looked over at me in the car and was like…this is some of the best pizza! Too bad we don’t live near here, this would be our go to spot!

I ordered gluten free noodles and asked the cashier what was a sauce that contained no gluten and she told me to get the Pad Thai so I did I ordered and I live pretty far so I didn’t notice until I got home but they gave me the regular noodles and there was crunchy stuff in it (I’m assuming contain gluten) the cashier herself had to refer to a sheet of paper for ingredients so I figured I was safe. I have a very high gluten intolerance (not celiac) so I thought this would be a safe place for me to eat. On top of this is took a bit to get me my food. Pretty disappointed.
Come here and get the tacos. Albeit expensive this place is delicious and consistent. Expect to spend $25/per person. Take-out sides are very very tiny, that is my only complaint. My kids love the poblano Mac n cheese. Gluten-free friendly, great bar staff and a good beer menu make this the best bbq shop in Williamsburg. Don't eat at busch gardens, go here.
I have to be gluten free and the Irish Nachos with house made potato chips were amazing! Also really great service especially since it was Christmas Eve.
Service was quick and very friendly. There are gluten free options. They do not offer gluten free buns like some other places that offer burgers. The fries are gluten free. The fries and hot dogs cooked in their own oil per their menu, but a chance of cross contamination.
Standard kid's menu. Our kids and my wife love their meals of ribs, mac and cheese, hot dogs, fries and pulled pork BBQ sandwich. My family is excited to come back on our next visit. I appreciate the nicely designed gluten free menu. The fries are very good, fresh and lots of them!
This was my husband and my favorite Italian restaurant. About nine months ago I found out I cannot consume gluten, so I assumed I could no longer eat here. Tonight I accompanied some friends, figuring I'd get a drink and then eat when I got home. When we got there I asked if they have a gluten-free menu. They don't, but the host told me they can make most dishes gluten free and that they will cook the pasta (penne) separately. As soon as we were seated our waiter came over and asked who is gluten free. He went over everything with me. I had the Chicken Marsala, and it was delicious, and the penne was really good. I'm so glad to know that I can eat safely at my favorite restaurant!
It was empty at lunch time on Wednesday. Food service was very quick. Food quality was excellent. Burger and fried chicken sandwich. Perfect fries. Gluten Free options.
The food and service were excellent. Pricy for sure, it's Colonial Williamsburg, everything is expensive. We at at the bar because it was hard to get a table there. We had a wonderful time. They accommodate Gluten Free diets.
This was an absolutely lovely cafe. With patio seating next to the water and socially distant tables it was the perfect place to get lunch while visiting Historic Jamestown. The staff was very kind and the menu had a good selection, as well as vegan and gluten free options. I would recommend this spot to anybody visiting the park.
Chef, great. Everything else, not so much. Waitress was very agitated that I politely asked if I could add tofu to the “vegetarian hibachi special.” The answer was no even though there was a tofu appetizer. Vegans also need protein. Vegetables and rice is not a sufficient meal, I’m sorry.
Asked if there was tamari, there wasn’t. Every time I asked a simple question she seemed more annoyed. One in four people avoid gluten. It might be worth keeping some on hand.
More than anything, I was polite and did not receive that same courtesy in return. Did she think I wouldn’t notice? My husband noticed and thought I would say something. I didn’t, only because I didn’t want to ruin the fun night we talked up for my son. Otherwise I would have been out of there fast.
Great spot to eat. Managed to get a table for dinner shortly before closing. Personally I found it much better than King's Arms Tavern. Service was fantastic and attentive. Waitress understood my gluten allergy and even brought out gluten-free bread without being asked, which was an awesome touch. The chicken was delicious, as was the pie my wife had. Snow egg dessert was unique, light, and delicious.
I feel like I just ate dinner in Italy! Francesco's is the high bar for all other Italian restaurants! My gluten free options were exceptional! I had the pizza and pesto pasta and I will dream about them until I can go back and enjoy the food again! This is a must for anyone in this area! The atmosphere was perfect and cozy, the service was superb! I would give more stars if I could! My gluten free heart is so happy!
Delicious food! Huge portions! We got the gluten free fajitas for two and came home with almost half of the food. The OMG nachos were amazing. They literally topped each individual nacho chip. They also have a robot delivering food to tables!
Food was delicious. Staff was very helpful with avoiding foods I'm allergic to. Lots of gluten free and dairy free and vegan combinations. Beautiful patio to eat outside.
I will never ever go to Mooyah again!! This experience was awful! My daughter & I were going to share a burger because she wasn’t that hungry. So I ordered the Build Your Own Single Burger with an outrageous price of $3.50 for a gluten free bun, but what do you do if you are gluten free? You HAVE to pay it. I stated the toppings I wanted, one of them being mayonnaise. The associate (Joseph) repeated it back to me saying mayonnaise. I added the Combo Meal (Personal Sweet Regular Drink and Personal Sweet Fries) and a bottled water. I have always liked their sweet tea (as it says on the drink machine) and was looking forward to getting some. Yuck!!! It was unsweetened tea. Not happy, but what do you do?? Get some sweeteners, right? Wrong! Nothing but sugars and there wasn’t many of them. I went to the counter and asked if they had any sweeteners. He said he would get some. It took a good at least 5 minutes of me waiting near the counter to finally get some when he went into the cabinet under the drink counter. I reluctantly put it in my tea & it tasted awful of course. They finally brought our order in a paper bag to our table. The burger was very small. I paid $7.29 plus $3.50 for this??? Then, as we each took bites of it, we discovered it had mustard on it. I HATE mustard and my daughter is allergic to it. I looked at my receipt and sure enough it said mustard. What could I do? Take it back? My word against theirs? The customer is always right, like the saying goes…not anymore in this day and age. We were screwed. I finished off just the meat part of the burger. Not happy. Never again. Btw, that one burger, fries and 2 drinks came to $22.28. For what? A small burger my daughter couldn’t eat, fries, which I admit were good and 2 drinks, one of which tasted awful, in the garbage.
Service was wonderful and food was fantastic. We had a fabulous dinner and will return. One of our guests has celiac and a dairy allergy. Bee, the owner, understood and made adjustments to the menu to accommodate him - a special evening!
Amazing service and delicious coffee drinks. I was able to get some gluten free accommodations and the server and kitchen were incredibly kind about it. Highly recommend and will be back!
I want to thank Melvin the manager , he is so kind, and definitely wants to make the customer happy.
Thank you to the owner and Melvin, for making my Mom feel so special, the day before Mother’s Day, she is on a gluten free diet, and the pizza she had was so delicious!
Fantastic service and food😊
Meyhane is a feast for your senses. The staff are warm and welcoming. The decor is colorful and serene. The food is beautifully presented. And the array of flavors is superb. We had the Adana Kebab and the Shrimp Giouvetsi, both were excellent. Our server was happy to help us identify gluten free items from the menu, of which there are plenty.
Don't skip dessert! The Turkish Butternut Squash was delightful and so pretty. Kadayif takes baklava to the next level. Grand Opening is a special event on June 18th. We will DEFINITELY be back for it.
