If you are going out to a restaurant with your friends or partner, I suggest you go to the best place in the city, the Los Pinares beach bar with wonderful views of the sea. The food there is excellent and gluten free. The staff is very attentive and kind. I recommend it!
They've changed owners and they no longer make gluten-free filloas. I'm posting this in case anyone comes forward with this dietary need, guided by the other comments. I can't comment on the rest because I couldn't eat.
The women who served us were lovely. My wife and the undersigned arrived without a reservation in the middle of Holy Week (SC), and they quickly made room for us at a table that they were going to eat later, they didn't rush us in any way, quite the opposite. They treated my wife who has celiac disease wonderfully...thank you. Very low prices and very good octopus, I emphasize that it had been 3 or 4 years since I had seen a coffee for €1.10 and certainly very well made. They are not 10, they are 11...!!! We will repeat 😉
Eating on the terrace, the atmosphere is very pleasant, without too many annoying city noises.
The service is fast and very attentive despite the influx of customers at peak times.
The dishes we ordered were two Nasi Goreng and Japchae Specials, and a Pad Thai. With one dish per person, it can be a bit overwhelming in terms of quantity (except for the Japchae, personally).
Regarding the flavors, I have no complaints, only praise, haha.
Some suggestions could be to expand the dessert variety (both gluten-free and gluten-free), add the option to order coffee (I don't know if it was a coincidence or they just don't have it), reduce the amount of rice/noodles in the "main dishes" (wok, noodles, and rice) to allow you to try other dishes without overindulging, and also reduce the sweetness of the matcha tea lemonade.
Thank you so much for the service :)))
Highly recommend Il Fornaccio. My partner is gluten free, and though we didn't see mention of this on the menu, they do offer guten free crusts for all their pizzas. And gluten free beer.
Food, atmosphere and staff were great@
The food was incredible!!!!! Probably the best patatas i have ever tried!! Many gluten free options! Very tasty and amazing sauces! 10/10 falafels! The guy was super friendly and attentive!
A well-chosen menu.
Beautiful presentation and very good quality. The service is very pleasant.
They have flavored fresh waters and a wide variety of gluten-free dishes (all the desserts are gluten-free!!!!).
I was eager to try a cocktail (I saw a slush machine and that sounds like... margaritas?!?!) 😀
We went because we were in Santiago and we saw it on the website of the Galician association of celiacs and my daughter is celiac. They controlled the issue very well and we ate calmly, which doesn't happen often.
Very good treatment and very good food. I recommend 100% and if you are celiac you can go and eat well with peace of mind, since most of the menu was suitable (the cheesecake for dessert was suitable and was spectacular).
We went as a family of 10 for dinner, and the service was truly friendly, attentive, and professional. Especially the waiter who served our table, Borja.
They offer gluten-free bread, and people with shellfish allergies are welcome!
Highly recommended.
Great place for vegans and majority of the food is gluten free as well.
Excellent food and so much flavour - only one of the four of us was vegan but we would all eat
there again
Very nice place with a menu adapted to people who cannot eat gluten. Organic products and simple but very tasty preparations. Reasonable prices and attentive staff. It's hard to find places like this. Highly recommended.
Our last day of walking the Camino and our first day in Santiago, we were recommended to go to this restaurant for vegetarian food. It was outstanding! The wonderful staff spoke English and accommodated everyone's quirky requests. We shared a pitcher of the most wonderful white Sangria. We ordered the Mezze to start, which was my favorite! I am sin gluten, and they had wonderful gluten-free crackers! The photos are of the Tex Mex bowl, the Asian Noodles I think Korean with rice noodles, Thai Curry bowl, Falafels, and the Kimchi fritters (can't remember what they were called on the menu!). Everyone loved what they ordered! Those Kimchi Fritters were also sin gluten and were fabulous! I could have eaten 10 of them! Totally worth the short walk from Cathedral!! Even if you're not vegetarian, you will love this place!
It is a typical place in Galicia which I would recommend going to, the service was good and pleasant, we had to wait 30 minutes to eat, we ordered drinks and they accompanied it with several skewers, bread with ham, omelette and a stew of beans. We went at noon and we liked it so much that we went back for dinner. I recommend the octopus, raxo with potatoes, grilled squid and as a celiac I was delighted because I could eat the fries, they had gluten-free bread and gluten-free beer.
This was an absolutely delicious meal in the heart of Santiago. We wanted something nourishing, warm, and gluten free and The Greenhouse provided just that. A must try.
Honestly, we went because the option we had thought about was closed and we repeated at lunch several times "thank goodness the other one was closed." Everything delicious. At first, the fact that it was a store had also made us rule it out, thinking that maybe they didn't take very good care of the restaurant and that the store was the main business. Nothing to see. We ordered eggplant stuffed with black rice - Awesome. An imitation of cheek pads... that was shocking because of how similar it was. And a spectacular Caesar salad. For dessert, a gluten-free cheesecake, delicious too. Really, highly, highly recommended. My congratulations to the kitchen because everything was exquisite.
