If you are going out to a restaurant with your friends or partner, I suggest you go to the best place in the city, the Los Pinares beach bar with wonderful views of the sea. The food there is excellent and gluten free. The staff is very attentive and kind. I recommend it!
They've changed owners and they no longer make gluten-free filloas. I'm posting this in case anyone comes forward with this dietary need, guided by the other comments. I can't comment on the rest because I couldn't eat.
We have ordered on several occasions to pick up and they are punctual with deliveries. It has a very extensive menu and they can make it gluten-free, which in others we don't have those options. We have never had problems with gluten-free pizzas, so we will continue to trust El Cantegril.
We spent a few days in Fisterra and had dinner there on two separate occasions. It's a charming little place with delicious food. The service was a 10 for friendliness, the music and decor were carefully chosen, and it's a peaceful place. It has a small terrace and the small dining room is charming. They have gluten-free options, and everything we tried was delicious.
On Sunday morning, March 23, 2025, the waiters on this shift were incapable of handling our needs. We sat for 30 minutes until they came to ask what we wanted, having to first serve other tables who had sat down after us. Over an hour passed from the moment we sat down until they finally brought everything we had ordered, including some simple items like toast with butter, or a gluten-free pastry that comes pre-packaged and simply needs to be picked up and brought to the table as is. In between, they brought several wrong items, forgot several others…
The place is nice and everything is usually delicious, but this kind of service somewhat discourages us from coming back.
The women who served us were lovely. My wife and the undersigned arrived without a reservation in the middle of Holy Week (SC), and they quickly made room for us at a table that they were going to eat later, they didn't rush us in any way, quite the opposite. They treated my wife who has celiac disease wonderfully...thank you. Very low prices and very good octopus, I emphasize that it had been 3 or 4 years since I had seen a coffee for €1.10 and certainly very well made. They are not 10, they are 11...!!! We will repeat 😉
I loved it, highly recommended, with how difficult it is to cook without gluten and without sugar... delicious, quality of the food, flavor of the food, it is not expensive
Eating on the terrace, the atmosphere is very pleasant, without too many annoying city noises.
The service is fast and very attentive despite the influx of customers at peak times.
The dishes we ordered were two Nasi Goreng and Japchae Specials, and a Pad Thai. With one dish per person, it can be a bit overwhelming in terms of quantity (except for the Japchae, personally).
Regarding the flavors, I have no complaints, only praise, haha.
Some suggestions could be to expand the dessert variety (both gluten-free and gluten-free), add the option to order coffee (I don't know if it was a coincidence or they just don't have it), reduce the amount of rice/noodles in the "main dishes" (wok, noodles, and rice) to allow you to try other dishes without overindulging, and also reduce the sweetness of the matcha tea lemonade.
Thank you so much for the service :)))
Highly recommend Il Fornaccio. My partner is gluten free, and though we didn't see mention of this on the menu, they do offer guten free crusts for all their pizzas. And gluten free beer.
Food, atmosphere and staff were great@
We were served by a very friendly waiter who was at the door and answered our questions about whether they offered gluten-free options; there were many options! And adaptations too! The daily menu was delicious! The quality of the ingredients was very good, and we took home the scallop shells we ordered as a souvenir! Delicious! We'll take them back to the Camino de Santiago as a souvenir! We'll definitely be back!

We went in because they had a Gluten Free sign. We were surprised when we asked for the gluten-free menu and it included carbonara pasta and four cheeses, and a ham or four cheese pizza. I asked the waiter if I could add mushrooms, and he asked. They brought us the food quickly, but the gluten-free pizza was tasteless and tasted like I was eating plastic. I don't understand why it was so much smaller than the regular one. When I paid, the bill included the extra mushrooms.
The food was incredible!!!!! Probably the best patatas i have ever tried!! Many gluten free options! Very tasty and amazing sauces! 10/10 falafels! The guy was super friendly and attentive!
A well-chosen menu.
Beautiful presentation and very good quality. The service is very pleasant.
They have flavored fresh waters and a wide variety of gluten-free dishes (all the desserts are gluten-free!!!!).
I was eager to try a cocktail (I saw a slush machine and that sounds like... margaritas?!?!) 😀
All delicious and with many gluten-free options, such as breaded prawn empanada and bread.
The service and food very good.
And you finish with a delicious coffee liqueur.
We went because of the great reviews and because they had gluten-free options. Although I asked if it was cooked separately, there was evidently some contamination at some point, because in less than two hours, my stomach is very sick. To make matters worse, it was our last meal before leaving for the airport, so now I'm sick and ready to fly.
The service from the gentleman in the suit was friendly; one waitress barely looked at us, and the other who offered us dessert was also friendly.
The food for the other diners was okay, but the contamination is unforgivable.
A great experience. They put us at a table with all the diners facing each other. Great to be able to talk. Unbeatable atmosphere: Christmas decorations and live music.
Very good food in general. We had a celiac diner and they adapted without a problem.
Highly highly recommended.
A delightful discovery. We came here by chance and opted for gluten-free food for my wife. When I ordered a calzone, they told me I could change the type of cheese. The wait staff were always communicative and eager to recommend the best options. I also want to thank the kitchen staff for the care they put into the food.
We went because we were in Santiago and we saw it on the website of the Galician association of celiacs and my daughter is celiac. They controlled the issue very well and we ate calmly, which doesn't happen often.
Very good treatment and very good food. I recommend 100% and if you are celiac you can go and eat well with peace of mind, since most of the menu was suitable (the cheesecake for dessert was suitable and was spectacular).

We really liked this place, the food was very good!! Adapted for celiacs.
But the treatment by the staff is very very good!! It is obvious that they enjoy what they do and seek excellence.
Incredibly good menu of the day
A friend and I went to eat and we discovered that they now have a super well-priced plaza menu with spectacular dishes. We shared everything, both the first and the second so we could try all the dishes. For starters they gave us a salmon tartare with mango (incredibly good) and Galician tripe (super creamy and tender) and for the second we tried the hake in its Galician version (it was too good) and a very tender and very good size beef entrecôte. For dessert, my friend had pancake stuffed with baked apple (she loved it) and, not being able to eat gluten, I had the delicious tangerine ice cream. Of course the best menu in Santiago de Compostela, we will repeat without hesitation!!
We went to a family meal. We were 13 people and we had a menu for adults and children. The food was of great quality, they treated us very well and were very attentive to everyone. We were two people with celiac disease and they took great care in adapting the menu. We will return.
Delicious local seafood and a very friendly waitress, they also had gluten free beer and the tortilla with clams was gluten free and super 'eggy'. Highly recommend!
A Galician fusion with an urban soul and plenty of flavor. Taberna da Galera is one of those places that captivates you from the first course. Its cuisine blends Galician tradition with modern touches and flavors from around the world, creating an original and delicious menu. We tried the hake ceviche with corn arepas and the Galician tomato with guacamole: both surprising and full of flavor. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, ideal for a dinner with friends or a special meal. The service was impeccable, friendly, and professional. They also have gluten-free and vegetarian options, which is greatly appreciated. A well-rounded experience in the heart of A Coruña!
What a nice surprise! We were looking for a place that offered gluten-free food and they did not fail here. Apart from the gluten-free pasta, we had pizzas (with gluten) and they were spectacular; I will also carbonate them. And for dessert, tiramisu. Central, good prices and very very delicious food. Recommendable!!
Everything was super delicious, about €50 each, and we didn't order wine. We ordered omelet with cabarineros, xouba, anchovy, tomato... everything was delicious and they were very well advised. Our favorite dessert was A Maceta. We went with a friend who has celiac disease, and they gave us all the necessary information from the start. We'll be back!
We went as a family of 10 for dinner, and the service was truly friendly, attentive, and professional. Especially the waiter who served our table, Borja.
They offer gluten-free bread, and people with shellfish allergies are welcome!
Highly recommended.
It has become our obligatory stop every time we go to Santiago.
Always very well attended.
Impressive place.
Spectacular food. With gluten-free option.
Our essentials...
Warm goat roll salad
Octopus at the fair
Sticky seafood rice
And always with a bottle of Albariño
Very tasty food. There’s the house menu and then some daily specials. Always also with gluten free options. Love the vibe and very friendly staff. Can’t wait to go again
Very nice place with a menu adapted to people who cannot eat gluten. Organic products and simple but very tasty preparations. Reasonable prices and attentive staff. It's hard to find places like this. Highly recommended.
Our last day of walking the Camino and our first day in Santiago, we were recommended to go to this restaurant for vegetarian food. It was outstanding! The wonderful staff spoke English and accommodated everyone's quirky requests. We shared a pitcher of the most wonderful white Sangria. We ordered the Mezze to start, which was my favorite! I am sin gluten, and they had wonderful gluten-free crackers! The photos are of the Tex Mex bowl, the Asian Noodles I think Korean with rice noodles, Thai Curry bowl, Falafels, and the Kimchi fritters (can't remember what they were called on the menu!). Everyone loved what they ordered! Those Kimchi Fritters were also sin gluten and were fabulous! I could have eaten 10 of them! Totally worth the short walk from Cathedral!! Even if you're not vegetarian, you will love this place!
The best restaurant in Santiago. Spectacular food!! Spectacular service!!
A celiac can eat without problems adapting all gluten-free dishes.
We will return for sure
