I've been wanting to try this place for some time and finally made it! I have to eat gluten free not by choice. This is literally the first place I've ever been to where I can eat everything on the menu! Never had this option before this is awesome now I just wish there were more locations this one is 30 minutes away and not in a direction I typically go. I ate here with my 10-year-old and 12 year old. We each got a bowl. The lemon turmeric rice did not disappoint. One of my kids tried the glass noodles they were very good and fun. My kids did not try any of the sauces they thought overall there was a slight spiciness to the dish without adding anything extra. I tried the teriyaki it was good. Oh and don't forget the free miso soup, lovely bonus. The broth is excellent.
Egg Harbor, Café is hands down the best spot for breakfast! They offer a fantastic menu with something for everyone, including a dedicated gluten-free menu alongside their regular options. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service make it an absolute favorite. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, Egg Harbor Café is a must-visit for a delicious and satisfying breakfast experience!
The food is delicious, with a wide variety of toppings and some excellent salad options. The atmosphere is pleasant, although the tables can feel a bit sticky, possibly due to the cleaning products used, but overall, the place is tidy. I often find myself needing to add napkins to the tables. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. However, the gluten-free option comes at a premium, adding an extra $3.50 per pizza, which feels a bit steep.
City Works is the perfect spot for our get together lunch with long-time friends. Easy reservation for our group of 7. Great atmosphere to visit. The food and service was PHENOMENAL! We all ordered something different and every single one of us loved our meal! Tyler, our server, took the very best care of us including special orders for dietary restrictions. (I need to eat gluten and dairy free. Tyler even made sure that my food was prepped separately.) We have made City Works our spot to meet up!
This restaurant was great! They had a fair number of gluten free options for someone with Celiac. The service was also amazing. We were greeted, seated immediately at 11am on a Sunday, our server was phenomenal, and we were checked on repeatedly. If we lived in the area, we would be regulars!
Came for gluten free pancakes but opted for
Gluten free belgium waffle instead. This came with fresh strawberries and real whipped crème along with the usual butter and maple syrup. It was amazing. The waffle was fluffy inside with crispy edges just like our server said it would be. I did half strawberries and crème and the other buttter and syrup. Was full but not sorry and I’d do it again! Worth it.
Good pizza and chill vibes. Would definitely come again! Had dinner here and enjoyed the pizza (tried both their regular and gluten free options) and a beer. Service was fast and friendly.
The Sandwiches are delicious and I love the Fact that they offer Gluten free bread which not many places do. I can't do gluten so this place is a 5 star and more to me.
I visited again today 08/25/2023 and the food is still totally awesome as always!! Check out the new photos. The average price was roughly $10-$15 per person and now it's more like $15-$20 per person. Still worth every penny ❤ but I don't have very many pennies left :(
Five Guys Burgers and Fries are always a dependable and predictable place to eat!
My wife has gluten allergies so she loves the lettuce wrapped burgers. The 🍟 are fresh cut daily and cooked in 🥜 oil!!!
Free peanuts!!!
The price is, as always, slightly high but it's so worth it. It's not Fast Food but it's sure is fast!! Just wait for them to yell out your patty quantity!!
El Mero mero serves up some authentic dishes, and I'll be sure to return as they are a gluten friendly establishment. I started with some Sopa Azteca to warm up on quite a chilly Schaumburg evening. The broth was warm with a hint of hot spice, and a little on the salty side to really enjoy. Taco Tuesday specials we enjoyed were the chicken and carne asada tacos. The tortillas were warm and soft, but the chicken was a tad on the dry side for my liking. The carne asada was also a little salty and dry as well. Overall, the meal packed your typical Latin flavors however, were a bit overpowered by the salt. Being a chilly evening, it seemed the two dining area rooms were a bit too cold to get comfortable. Pricing per person on a day with specials was around $12/pp. Bathrooms and all dining areas were very clean and sanitized.
Decent food, reasonable prices, good portions.
Gluten free pizza was okay, they have separate fryer for French fries. Cheese fries were okay as well, cheese could use improvement, tasted like it came from a can(Processed taste).
Philly steak sandwich was good.
Got a gluten-free and dairy-free pancake from here and it was very dry and not tasty at all. I didn't even eat half of it and still got charged full price at that my food wasn't hot at all. The waiter wanted to remake it and I told her it wasn't needed and asked her how she would feel if she couldn't get a discount on a meal she was not satisfied with. She didn't answer but to respond she can't discount the meal and would have to make a call for it and I declined to do that and paid for my meal and left. Never will come here for breakfast again!!
What can't I say about this place. A bad thing that's what I can't say. I've eaten here many times now. They have a good #glutenfree selection and are definitely willing to work with you. I had the brisket, ribs, Chilean sea bass, filet mignon, the beer can chicken. Fresh chips, all of it was spectacular. I may be in a relationship with their maselhed potatoes. They have a good selection of wines and beers, and the house cocktails are grand. I always have to pause and take notice of the giant weber kettles they cook on. The heat coming off of them is intense. I don't think the cooks have any hair on their arms. Try the gluten free chocolate brownie. I took one of their cooking classes and it was awesome.
Great place for a healthy bowl of soup and choose your own ingredient salad bar spot. They do have their own salad recipes but it's nice to be able to choose what fresh ingredients you most enjoy. They also have sandwiches however no gluten free bread options. They kept the area clean from cross contamination from what I could tell. The dining area could use some cleaning/sanitizing, but overall it's a great set-up for a quick meal. There's no way to tell if there are gluten free, dairy free options so it's best to ask. Loved 😍 the chocolate 🍓🍫 dessert. It was very thoughtful.
