The Red Cow has delicious fare and great service. I was part of a group of four. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, so all the fried potato dishes (e.g. french fries, sweet potato fries, etc.) can be made gluten-free (and oat-free).
Waited 45 minutes for 2 omelettes with hashbrowns. Omelettes were small, ham was sliced up lunchmeat and the hashbrowns were so salty they were inedible. The female staff person emptying the garbage went straight to touching clean silverware and then to serve our food without washing her hands. The only good part of the visit was the gluten-free chocolate muffin, however, I will find out in a couple hours if it was actually GF. I would not visit this place again.
Nice menu with clearly labeled items for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc. Food was nicely seasoned and drinks were delicious. Only caveat was the papas had an odd flavor to them with the sweet paprika.
We really loved this place! The waitress was super sweet and the food was awesome! We just wish there was GF toast for our breakfast. But over all, it was great! We had a good gluten free breakfast 👍🏻
I am always impressed when I go to Hope! I can never choose what to get because there are SO MANY amazing options!
Gluten free and vegan options available and they are DELICIOUS! Even most of their specialty coffees can be made vegan!
The food was fantastic! All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They shared about the different entrees. It has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, and it is easy to eat vegan and gluten free if you prefer. We will definitely be going back!
Had a stellar experience at this tiny coffee shop in Saint Paul. I was staying in an airbnb nearby, and it was recommended by the owner. It exceeded my expectations: friendly efficient service, delicious drinks, and lots of light food options, including gluten free donuts from SIFT (I got the blueberry and it was quite good). If I'd had time, I would have returned, and I will certainly go again if I'm in the area.
Love the food here. Always so fresh, bright, and full of flavor. Never disappoints. I love the chicken with mixed vegetables in their gluten free sauce. Egg foo young is delicious also. Thank you!
Excellent dining experience. Everyone on the staff was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, prompt, and friendly! Our waiter answered all of our menu related questions beautifully. I am gluten intolerant, and my dining partner was not, so I'll leave notes after the items about the gluten content. We told the staff beforehand, and they were great about answering my questions about gluten containing ingredients.
We tried 'I Smoked my breakfast' and 'Where's the smoke?' cocktails. Both were great! 'I Smoked my breakfast' was smooth, sweet, and spirit forward. 'Where's the smoke?' had the signature smokiness of mezcal balanced with light and refreshing citrus notes, not too sweet. I'm looking forward to trying more cocktails in the future. The menu also has low ABV and nonalcoholic craft cocktail options, so there's something for everyone.
We had:
Patatas bravas - a generous serving of crisp potatoes covered in a balanced spicy sweet tomato sauce and mayo drizzle. These took me back to the restaurants in Barcelona, a very nice representation of a traditional favorite. (Gluten friendly as is)
Haloumi cheese - the green sauce and bean salad paired nicely with the fried haloumi cheese, I would order this again. (Gluten friendly as is)
Beet salad - very good! I always enjoy a good beet salad. (Order without crackers and barley to make gluten friendly)
Cheeseburger - a good burger and something on the menu for the less adventurous diner. (Bun, not gluten friendly)
Roasted piri piri chicken - seriously amazing. The waiter described the heat level and flavors perfectly when he said the 6 out of 10 spice of the chicken is balanced with the buttermilk sauce on the bed of green beans and potatoes. I would eat this chicken again and again. (Gluten friendly as is)
Chocolate cheesecake - this crustless cheesecake caught my eye as a gluten friendly dessert option. Garnished with a chocolate ganache and candied orange pieces, this final course was both exactly what I needed and what put me over the edge of way too full. It's hard to pace yourself when everything is so good. (Gluten friendly as is)
We also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner during our meal. He was friendly and kind, the ideal host. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant! I'll certainly be back.
This had to be one the best burgers on a gluten-free bun I've had in the twin cities! The Brussel spouts were amazing also. The service team was wonderful.
Stopped for a drink & bite to eat before a show at the Palace Theatre.
Fun atmosphere and we were pleased that the food was delicious!
I enjoyed the Elote Burger (it has corn & hot Cheetos in it!!) on a Gluten Free bun.
Can’t wait to go back and try something else from the menu!
A combination of good weather, choir band, and good food led to a delightful evening. Outdoor seats with nice view of the lake made it all possible. We were a group of three and we got fish tacos, fish & chips, and Caribbean Cuban sandwich (forgot to take a photo of the dishes! Lol) and we all liked our dishes. The food came out fairly fast despite the long line. They offer enough gluten free options.
For warning— the gluten free menu is NOT gluten free. This was not a dietary preference but celiac, so it did matter. From what our server and the disclaimer said, the vinegar used for the rice is not rice vinegar so none of the sushi rice is gluten free. Our server actually pointed out that smaller “disclaimer” at the bottom of the gluten free menu (thank you thank you thank you for that). We don’t try to be fussy when we go out. We try to pick restaurants/cuisine that is more gluten-free friendly so we don’t make the kitchen go out of their way. Some places aren’t gluten free friendly and that is ok! But, having a separate gluten free menu, and then having only about three-ish items be actually gluten free borderlines on silly.
The consequences if we did not see that, or if our server didn’t point it out, would not have been silly. It is especially disappointing because when it came down to it, the seemingly best option ended up being steamed rice with sashimi on top and finely shredded carrots for $40+. The actually gluten free entrees also came with salad and miso soup— the miso soup is not gluten free…. Why is that offered on the gluten free menu then?
Atmosphere was fine. Drinks were fine. The rolls from those who could consume gluten were fine. Server was very knowledgeable thankfully. Don’t care to return, unless they update the menu unfortunately.
Love the gluten free sub options!!! Fresh, delicious, and friendly staff :) We have been converted, Jersey Mike's for us from now on. They even slice your meat and cheese to order!

A very nice restaurant - I thought the food was just good though - not fantastic. It's not terribly inventive, just ... good! It's good. It just feels like a new iteration of an old idea. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing exciting either. We had a very nice unremarkable dinner. It was also my father in law's eightieth birthday.
Excellent service regarding his Celiac gluten requirements - they printed him a special menu with only gluten free items.
Due is one of my absolute favorite places to eat! Having a date? Go to Due! Having a picnic? Pick it up at Due!! Hosting a party? Call Due! Best grab and go food or dine in and indulge in some creative cocktails. Definitely five stars, especially for Italian food here in Minnesota. Fresh made focaccia bread from scratch daily! Yum! I’m a gluten-free eater, but I cheat for Due and don’t get sick! 😍 I’m waiting for the day they open on the West-side of town. 🙏🏼
