Rio Grande is my favorite location. It's always packed and sometimes it can be a challenge to find parking. Seating can be a challenge if the group is more than 2. Otherwise, even though it gets very busy, there's usually always available seating. Love the outdoor seating arrangement as well. Also stoked that they actually have a nice variety of gluten free options.

I'm a newly diagnosed celiac. Most of the gluten free food blogs around town have high praise for Fan Tang. Honestly, my food was underwhelming. I ordered the sesame chicken, and it wasn't fried, it was basically boiled white meat chicken breast with sweet chili sauce on it. It didn't even have the sesame chicken flavor. My husband also ordered gluten free sweet and sour beef so I could try, and his was marginally better (the meat was velveted so at least his sauce stuck to it), but still not anything to write home about. This is not it, fam. Just because we can't eat gluten doesn't mean we should settle for subpar food. Stop letting people charge you $13 a plate for this. On the bright side, I didn't get sick. That's the only reason I even left any rating at all.

Sum up in one word. Unbelievable!!!! Between the welcoming service and great food. I should also mention the bathroom was nice and clean not what I expected from an "around the back" bathroom. The food was FIRE! Not a word I use often but well deserved. Options for gluten free was made easy here which is not easy to due to vital wheat gluten found in most substitute meat items. Thank you for an excellent experience and apologize for taking the last of the empanadas! They were so delicious! 🤤 I will return for more great food!
