Amazing delicious and fresh options. Love that they can accommodate those with celiac disease/gluten free. The GF breakfast burritos are amazing and the GF spicy fried chicken sandwich is another favorite.
by far the best non-dairy ice cream ive ever had. the mayan chocolate, lavender and lemon sorbetto are delectable. staff extra friendly and catered to gluten free needs as well. would recommend to anyone who likes treating their tastebuds to a scoop of heaven!
If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Aside from having a to-die-for delicious BBQ chicken pizza with gluten free crust, and tasty hard ciders, the service was so above and beyond! We walked in and they greeted us like family, and high-fived our kid’s (we have 4 and they are all under 10 years old!) Just an absolutely warm and welcoming atmosphere!
Excellent gluten free crust, as mentioned in other reviews doesn't really turn brown but had a crunchy outer crust, nice and soft inside, not chewy. Very enjoyable.
The food was so good! We got the gluten free pancakes with chocolate chips and ones with bacons and the pig in a blankets and had no problems as a celiac! The staff were arguing in the back so that was awkward and u professional but the food was great at least!
We ate here multiple times on a weekend trip because it was a great experience. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and has generous portions. They easily accommodated food allergies and had gluten free options. To top it off the atmosphere was clean, cozy and dog friendly. Highly recommend stopping in!
This place is fantastic! The fish tacos are delicious and portions are large. The fries are excellent and I love the dark meat gluten-free fried chicken. And waffles! They have a ton of sauces to choose from - spicy Thai is my favorite. The employees are always kind and attentive. I love the ambiance at The Lot. The summer is festive and it’s cozy in the winter with heated benches and fire pits. Highly recommend!
Their gluten free pizza was of the best I've ever had. They also have vegan cheese. Friendly staff made the experience memorable as well. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Bend
Had brunch here with 2 of my teens we ordered:
1. Junkin with gluten free toast (gluten free options)
2. Classic breakfast with bacon and a biscuit
3. Breakfast sandwich.
Pros:
Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean and inviting.
Cons:
They only have oat milk and cow milk no other milk alternatives. Not the end of the world but worth knowing if you want a fancy coffee with breakfast.
Food: The food was a 4.5/5 the sandwich was a hit and the classic breakfast was good with the exception that the potatoes were bland with no seasoning and not very crispy. The Junkin was good except 50% of the veggies were turnips. Which are not my favorite so picked most of them out. The gluten free toast was delicious! (Note I've had the junkin before when it was more balanced with more of a variety to the veggies so this might be hit or miss)
Over all a good visit
Side note there is no parking lot or designated space for parking so you have to find a spot on a residential street which can be tricky.
From the moment I walked in I was first blown away by the amazing customer service I received. Then I ordered my food to go and when I got home with my order that was recommended to me because I have to have gluten free I was blown away first by the amount of food. Then I tasted that garlic and black pepper banger and mash and I am hooked!!! It will be at least two nights of dinner for me. But oh my goodness was it delicious!!! The hostess that recommended it couldn’t have been more right if she tried!!! I am so grateful to her.
Gluten free/ vegan friendly!!
Had a nice dinner out with a friend. We made a reservation 5 days ahead to make sure we could get a table
Their menu was very very GF friendly. They are have a fun cocktail list but it was much smaller than we thought it would be considering we heard they were the go to place for cocktails.
*Dishes we tried were delicious!
*Service was ok.... not great really slow and they seemed a bit understaffed. The people were nice just very very slow.
*Bathroom situation was a bit odd... you have to leave the restaurant go into the hotel and then down an elevator to another floor and around a corner to the bathroom. If your dinning with children it's a trick.
Overall would definitely go back again.
I haven't been in years and it was great today. They have vegan gluten free pastries. The espresso was very good. The half shade, half sun back lawn on the Deschutes River is great. Ample seating. ADA, kid, and dog friendly (though we did not use a restroom so cannot speak to that). I will be bringing my young child there over and over. Order at the window then walk inside for a seat or walk through the building to go down the steps to the back, or you can go down the side path outside to the left to go to the back with any wheeled personal transportation devices like strollers or wheel chairs.
We went here for pizza this last weekend, when we were visiting the area. We had pizza at one other place while we were there, and this blew that went out of the water. We have to eat gluten-free due to allergies. Most gluten-free crust served at restaurants is really crack or crust or, at best, flat bread. this was soft with a slight chew to it, as a good pizza crush should have. I would have liked some air bubbles, but that's something I've only found in one place in all the Pacific Northwest.
We sat outside, as we had our putz with us. As it was dark, it was a little chilly until they lit the fireplace. Even with the fireplace on, the patio is rather large, and I do think they need to add some more gas heaters on the outer edges. The fireplace really only keeps you warm if you're within 6 inches to ten inches. The server was attentive and friendly. We didn't wait long for our order once it was in. We shared a large house house salad. My husband, who hates vinegarats, actually liked the one that was on this salad. It was spring. Mix lettuce with current shreds and nothing more. I don't know if there's normally croutons on it, and they left them out because of the gluten allergy, but it was just lettuce and carrot shreds for us.
The parking lot is tiny, and only one direction. There is street parking. You may have to walk a couple of blocks. There are a lot of restaurants on the street, making it a popular destination. When we first arrived, we were told It would be a thirty minute wait. We decided to start walking down the street for a few minutes. They said they had a cancelation, so they told us we were able to be seated within 2 minutes. We know now to expect a thirty minute wait in the future.
We really enjoyed the food. I highly recommend the house made pork. The sweet heat was a perfect balance of spicy, pickled peppers and sweet, tender house mate pork.
I would highly recommend, if you were going to eat here in the evening...even during the warmer months, bring a blanket and a jacket. My only disappointment was that there was no cider available. It worked out because I had a very good Ginger campucha, served in the bottle, with a glass of ice. It is made by a company that gives part of their proceeds to help the less fortunate.
I definitely recommend eating here if you are gluten intolerant. I had no reaction, and I am rather sensitive to cross contamination. Repeat that it's cooked and served on a metal Pan. Which helps eliminate that. Even if you don't have food allergies, the place is very popular, which tells you a lot. If you don't want pizza, they also have gluten-free buns.
I love Thump coffee. The Baristas are always friendly and go out of their way to give you a great coffee drink. I also appreciate that they offer really tasty gluten free pastries.
I went to Mio Sushi in Bend with my husband, who is celiac. We were looking for gluten-free options, and the website listed gluten-free teriyaki as an option. However, when we arrived, we were told that they don't have gluten-free teriyaki. We also asked for more time to look through the sushi options, but the waiter never came back.
Overall, we had a terrible experience at Moo Sushi. The staff was not helpful and accommodating, and the food was not what we were expecting. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease or anyone looking for a good dining experience.
I love this restaurant. The food and drinks especially the morning cocktails are exceptional. The staff and waitresses were so sweet and attentive, patient with a smile. High recommend the food here, perfectly cooked scallops, shrimp and lobster on an eggs Benedict with morel mushrooms absolutely made my day. Gluten free options available and made to request. I waited over 38 years to finally visit this restaurant even though I knew it had a great reputation but now it's apart of life forever.
My wife has celiacs. This is one of a few GF options in town. They take good care to keep everything seperated from glutened items. Thank you so much! Though under staffed still decent service.
I had a fantastic experience at Wildwood Foods! The atmosphere is super cute and cozy, with a great vibe and awesome service that adds to the dining experience. I highly recommend going upstairs – it has an even more charming ambiance that makes you want to linger. I tried the Falafel Buddha Bowl and it was absolutely delicious – full of fresh, vibrant flavors that make it a standout dish. The gluten-free hotdog was also a nice surprise, especially for those with dietary preferences. Definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a unique, flavorful meal in a welcoming setting!
Just had a great meal! A group of 6 of us were seated immediately. The server was very friendly. Every single dish you could tell was made with love and great flavor. I loved all the gluten free options. All the garnishes and dishes were thoughtfully made and everything seemed extremely fresh.
Absolutely freaking amazing. Food was sooooo good! We tried there cauliflower appetizer, pad see ew, a curry dish, and their already made curry lazy pot -- which was my favorite (think nostalgic chicken ramen flavor but a hundred timers better)
Chris, our server, was very on top of things and helped me with my gluten free needs. Great ambience.
We went to watch Slightly Stoopid from the old Mill. I’ve seen them many times I didn’t need to go in this time, but we decided to grab a drink at Greg’s Grill where I was pleasantly surprised to learn they have a new menu and have labeled the menu with gluten-free options. Not only that, but they now have a dedicated fryer for their fries! I raved on my food through the entire meal. Ask Dan 😆 #celiacsafe #glutenfree
Jeff took care of our large party. That guy don't mess around. He knew the menu amd the beer list very well making ordering very easy. They have gluten free options and they have adult food too.
Food was absolutely awesome and the service was even better. Our server Chase our the owner Chris were extremely welcoming even though we were in late at night. Chase was very knowledgeable and made the gluten free options very clear for my girlfriend with celiacs. Definitely will be back, thanks guys!

This was my first time at Cafe Yum! It was delicious. Food was very fresh. Workers were friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the variety. Gluten free and vegan options too, which is always a plus! I will definitely go again next time I'm in Oregon!
Excellent food. For those who like to keep their eating clean and healthy and often gluten-free this is a great option! The service was not friendly so I wasn’t able to get a five star review.
HIGHLY recommend!! Their biscuits and gravy, and breakfast tostadas are amazing! The portions are great. So happy they had gluten free options along with their vegan food! We'll definitely be back.
Loved the carne asado burrito. I’m gluten free and dairy free. They were very accommodating and left off the cheese and flour tortilla. Put it in a container for me and we’re so kind about it! Fantastic service! I’ll definite go again when I’m back in town.
Wow, I just went here for the first time for a pick up order but cannot wait to go back to dine in. Fantastic smoothie, bowls, and gluten-free pastry. Great location and really awesome space.
The food and service were both fantastic. The restaurant also has an excellent view. They have a good number of gluten-free options and those options are clearly marked on their menu which is very helpful for the gluten intolerant such as myself!
The food was amazing but was pretty spicy, which I wasn't expecting. All of the food is gluten-free, and if not (one or 2 dishes), it is clearly labeled.
I enjoyed the service as we weren't bothered often and were treated well when we were talked to.
It's a beautiful atmosphere we had the choice to eat inside or outside. With an odd amount of gnomes, we noticed...
This place seems fairly new with a short menu and unfinished parts of the building (the bathroom), but I believe it has a lot of potential! Definitely would recommend and will hopefully go again soon!
Really yummy date smoothie. It tasted like a milkshake! Very knowledgeable about ingredients. Lots of gluten free and soy free options. Super friendly staff. I will definitely return next time I'm in Bend!
One of our favorite smash burgers we’ve found in the Bend/Redmond area. Great price, and they have gluten free buns too! We both had the OG and it was delicious.
This place was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip to bend! Delicious golden milk and gluten-free/vegan seed bread…YUM. Great atmosphere to pull out a book or work. Also, a really lovely view of the river. It’s the top of our list for when we return to bend. 💚
Food was okay. The gluten free crust was a frozen one so we paid a lot of money when we felt we could have got a frozen pizza for the same. Gluten friendly but not celiac safe. We also ordered gluten free and then they made ours regular so we had to ask them to remake it and they did with no problems or anything. Service was wonderful but not our best experience food wise.
We made reservations a week ahead for Mother’s Day. We were traveling from Idaho and ended a seven hour drive with dinner at the grill in Bend. We were a few minutes early and checked in- Two adults, six kids including a baby in high chair.
We were waiting quite a while, especially with a reservation. The deck seemed very inviting but were told it was booked even though not full. Indoors, the restaurant was very loud so we waited outside about 25 minutes. We were seated indoors after reminding the hostess that we were still waiting. She could see us from her desk but I felt forgotten.
The food was excellent with gluten free calamari as the star. I had a wedge salad, no dairy, add shrimp. It came covered in blue cheese dressing so I had to send it back. It came quickly back but the shrimp were cold. The waitress did bring me some more shrimp without being asked.
My daughter had prime rib and it was just okay. A bit fatty and tough. Her sides were good. The kids had the little bento boxes which were very creative and fun, giving several choices. They are every bite.
We seemed to wait forever for water and were never asked about a drink refill. I know they were busy but staffing seemed scant.
A true heritage tradition in Bend, the Pines with it's two pine trees rising though the floor and ceiling, offers great food, superb service, and a relaxing atmosphere.
Our reservation was for 5:30 and the restaurant was already busy. We were quickly seated in the back overlooking the water.
Our waiter was a high energy person and was very attentive without making us feel hurried.
The steak fries and garlic fries appitizers were both great, although the steak fries would be my choice next time.
I had the pulled pork without the bun (gluten intolerance) and was offered seasonal vegetables ( superb green beans ) all of which were very tasty. My wife had the chicken Marsala which after I had a taste was a much better choice.
Our companions had the blackened rockcod and rib eye steak which they enjoyed.
The Pines has an excellent wine and beer list. Wine is offered by the bottle or glass.
All in all an excellent dinning experience.
If you have not been be sure to try it.
