The food is absolutely AMAZING especially for the price. The biscuits are TO DIE for as well as the apple butter jam. Even the gluten free biscuits are great.
Staff is amazing. All of the girls were super nice and attentive! The manager (?) Kyle made sure to introduce himself to all new guests and checked on all of the tables. He even recommended places to see around Charleston (Definitely should be a tour guide) Thanks for the recommendations!
Love the merchandise as well!
DEDICATED FRYER!!! That should say enough for you to get over there! But, their bang bang shrimp (crispy gluten free tempura battered, fried in a dedicated fryer) was delicious! With a sweet Thai chili and spicy mayo drizzle. The fish tacos (gf battered, fried fish - or can be grilled) with a creamy slaw and corn tortillas served with crispy fry/chips were awesome! I had seen a review talking about lack of flavor - don’t listen to that. Could it use a pinch more salt? Sure. But it was incredibly flavorful, hot and so deliciously crispy, GF fried fish and shrimp! Wonderful experience! I recommend putting in a reservation to sit on the deck to make sure you get a spot outside!
A great place for dinner or brunch on the weekends, especially if you love grits! They even have a grit flight! All GF options are labeled on the menu. I got the flounder special over the garden style grits and also a side of the butter beans with bacon, which I highly recommend!
Great restaurant. They say it's Mediterranean and it has a definite Southern flair. They have a great happy hour when small plates are $7. They call them small plates but they are not really it's a generous serving I can recommend the shrimp and polenta as well as the oysters Rockefeller the gluten-free menu is accommodating as well.
We ordered a gluten free pizza and salad to go. The pizza was excellent - cheesy and well baked. Salad was also very good.
We did decide we would probably only do take out here, because on our last visit, dine in, we couldn't get service. The girl at the cash register just said to sit anywhere outside and someone would be right with us. After two more requests, still nobody came out with menus or acknowledged us. Too busy inside with take out pick-ups, taking phone orders and waiting on a couple of inside tables. That was disappointing, because we wanted to sit outside and relax there. Ended up going somewhere else.
However, we tried again this time with take out and were happy.
Recently got diagnosed with celiac and have been trying to find a great place for GF lunches nearby. Their separate menu is so helpful AND delicious, and their service is fantastic. Will eat lunch here often going forward.
Really good coffee, gluten free bread for egg sandwiches - great quick breakfast spot!
The staff were all very friendly and easy to discuss gluten free options with. We ordered the “Farm Egg Sandwich” with sausage and the “Vintage Breakfast Sandwich” - both were delicious!
We are both very sensitive celiacs - and had no reaction eating here. We felt confident in their cross contamination measures, but keep in mind they are not a dedicated GF facility.
Farm Egg Sandwich - Sausage (scrambled egg, sharp cheddar, smashed sausage, comeback sauce, GF bread)
Vintage Breakfast Sandwich (fried egg, crispy prosciutto, muenster cheese, roasted tomato, dijonaise, GF bread)

Love the view. Service was not the greatest… waiter acted like he had better things to do. Now they are charging 3% admin fee to use a card!! What do u mean. Gluten free options at a bare minimum
This was the best dining experience we had in Charleston! I can’t rate it highly enough. We went to the location off of Lockwood, and it was simply amazing. The chef came out and talked to us about his method for making the pastries, and let us sample one of the beautiful French macarons. It was clear how much he cares about the quality of the food! They import a lot of ingredients from France, and grow their own herbs to garnish dishes. The owner actually got us settled for dinner - we had an amazing beef bourginon and a Mediterranean galette. I should say, a GLUTEN-FREE galette - they have extensive gluten-free options! Come get a crepe and enjoy the amazing customer service.
We were really disappointed with our experience here. We ordered a gluten-free, dairy-free pizza and it arrived with half dairy and half non-dairy cheese—something that could cause serious issues for me and my friend as we have severe allergies and intolerances. When we reached out, they did make a replacement, but unfortunately, it wasn’t much better.
The second pizza was covered in flour (defeating the point of gluten-free), the crust was burnt and had a bitter, unpleasant taste, and there was barely any sauce at all. It felt thrown together and rushed.
We appreciate the effort to fix the first mistake, but both pizzas were inedible and left us feeling like dietary needs weren’t taken seriously.
Would not recommend for anyone with food sensitivities or anyone in general. Especially for the price ($25!!)
They have a few specific menu items that are gf. I had the Black Sea Bass with grilled shrimp served over rice with sauteed spinach and cherry tomatoes. it was amazing and the staff knew what to do to keep me safe from cross contamination. I will be going back.
Great food served by great people!
I visited early in the morning for a quick bite while I waited for a family member to get out of surgery. I informed the staff that I had a wheat allergy and would need gluten-free bread, and they made sure that the cook was as careful as possible. The staff was phenomenal, incredibly friendly, and beyond respectful. I can’t say enough positive about my experience!
My boyfriend and I love this restaurant. The staff and the general manager Kacey made our experience exceptional. Kacey went out of his way to ensure that we had a perfect meal and continued to check in on us throughout the dining process. They have the best gluten free pasta (and regular pasta) in town. We are so looking forward to going back and dining with them again!
I couldn't wait to try this place when I finally made my way to Mt P. 55 dollars and a great disappointment later. The oreo cake and funfetti cake tasted like it sat in the refrigerator uncovered for days. The gluten free coffee cake was extremely dry and it wasn't even a crumb topping, it was brown sugar/cinnamon thrown on top. It all fell off with each bite. The sugar cookie crumbled with the first bite. The almond joy bar had great flavor, but wasn't fresh. Perhaps it was an off Saturday evening? Had I tasted any of the cakes prior to leaving, I would have asked for my money back.
The BEST Indian food in Charleston (and we have tried them all). The Masala, Korma and Butter chicken are our family favorites and lots of Gluten Free options. Naan is consistently delicious every time. Beautiful job on the new location and we will see you again and again!
Do not eat here if you have Celiac disease or a gluten allergy. I got a terrible gluten belly reaction after eating a chicken BLT which was supposedly made gluten free.

Iggy’s is one of our favorite pizza restaurants in the world. We love the salad and of course, the pizza. They have a gluten free crust that tastes great if that’s what you need. The customer service aspect of the experience is also always top tier. I cannot recommended this place highly enough!
This place is amazing!! I had the avocado toast and added smoked salmon and it was so good. I also got a couple of the cold press juices and they were the best I have ever tried. It’s hard to find a place with healthy options but also gluten free this will be perfect for my kids to come and enjoy a snack. The customer service is also amazing!!
I used to love this place when it first opened and you could sit at the bar or have table service. Food isn't as good. But big props for having gluten-free options!!! Automatic extra star for that.
This location is top notch. The guy leading the team taking orders was exceptionally kind and attentive to the specifics of our order and celiac restriction. Food was perfectly prepared and we had a very lovely lunch.
Ate outdoors - very loud traffic noise, but the server took care of getting water for our pup. Food was excellent, but sadly there were no gluten-free options (according to our waitress) as stated in the overview.
I had Nautical Bowls for the first time after a long beach day a few weeks ago. The bowls my Girlfriend and I tried were amazing. So refreshing and she is grateful to find a spot dedicated gluten free! The staff were super helpful and the bathrooms were spotless :)
I am vegan and have a gluten allergy and this is my favorite pizza place in mount pleasant if not all of charleston! They have gluten free crust, vegan cheese, veggie pepperoni, veggie sausage, AND veggie meatballs! Im pretty sure you can make a lot of their non pizza options vegan/dairy free as well by asking your server. Just like most pizza places, they cant guarantee no gluten so i like to tale a digestive enzyme with my pizza. I order here weekly and get a cauliflower crust with lots of veggies and veggie pepperoni. (Btw the veggie meat is not labeled vegan on the order online option but i called to ask and they are vegan!) and the best part is no one makes me feel weird or complicated! Highly recommend.
We spent $60 for two people and it was WORTH every penny!! From the amazing aroma that drew us in, we knew it was going to be amazing. Started with the masala fries and they were absolutely the best fries I’ve ever eaten. I’m one of the people that hates cilantro and I couldn’t even be bothered by it on these fries. I am a vegetarian and was so happy about how many diverse options there are, there’s several vegan/gluten free/vegetarian/dairy free options that are all marked accordingly. The chai tea was unique and fantastic, our main dishes are enough to feed us for the next few days (not mad about it!). The owner was so kind and friendly and made the experience better somehow. The music was great as well! We will be back soon.
Delicious brick oven pizza, we ordered gluten free crust and it was tasty, the toppings were amazing and the service was quick and friendly. Salad was great, a little heavy on the balsamic but overall, would order again, the pizza was loaded with toppings, the sauce tasted fresh and the salad was more than enough to share.
Tierra Al Mar is a gem in Mount Pleasant! The flavorful Mexican cuisine is a delight for the taste buds, and the cozy atmosphere adds a wonderful touch to the dining experience. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth, and the menu offers a delicious variety of options. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this restaurant is a must-try for authentic Mexican flavors in a welcoming setting. The braised chicken tacos were my favorite. Gluten free corn soft shells👍🏼 follow my reviews on Instagram @holycityfitblonde
The only sushi option they had that was gluten-free was sashimi. Both the salmon and tuna tasted awful, not edible. Tasted old and metallic. Then the checks were sent out wrong.
We love both Mount Pleasant locations of Bon Bahn Mi. It's a great spot for a group if you have a variety of preferences or dietary restrictions as they can accommodate soy free, gluten free, vegan, and low-carb. I'm vegan and love the red curry tofu - I often get the bowl with peanut sauce and it's such clean comfort food. The local brews on tap are an awesome bonus, a variety of hot sauces is fun to choose from, and even though it's order-then-sit service, they always check on us several times during the meal. Both patios are pup friendly. The takeout holds up nicely too!
My ramen is empty. Which is how good ramen should be seen, finished. The pork ramen at Fuji is almost a great bowl of ramen. Salty white broth with a sweet finish and hit of crab offering an homage to the local faire. The pork and egg are where it loses sight of the perfect note. The pork unfortunately was fried crispy to the point where it had no flavor. Thankfully the broth rescues it and helps overcome the pork shortcoming. The eggs were overcooked but being "soy eggs" they have that lovely Carmel color and flavor to them but lack the creamy inside and kills the joy of a great soy egg. If not for the broth saving the whole dish this would be a different message.
On a winning note loyal follower know that I am always in search of restaurants that cater to my wife and her intolerance of gluten. So finding a Japanese restaurant that offer gluten friendly fare is the best thing since Soy Eggs in ramen. Cause it means I can eat here more often. She ordered and really enjoyed the hibachi soy free (hint it's where they hide the gluten) and for that alone we will come back and attempt the ramen again.
Fuji make a note of it on your website or in your menu. Yes dear patrons of gluten free living we support you. We would have been voting Fuji like we lived in Chicago early and often. So wear you options like a proud mama koala bear and let us all know. Please I need more Ramen in my diet. And fix the eggs and pork.
MOST AMAZING WEDDING EVER!!! My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Post House Inn on 12/12/2020 and it was the best decision we could have made to share this special moment in our lives with family and close friends. 2020 has been unique and strange to say the least but the team at the Post House treated us like their own family and made our wedding a very special and SAFE evening to remember. They handled a Saturday evening event tremendously while still accommodating their normal restaurant guests and service(our wedding was not disturbed by normal restaurant operations). The ceremony was in the courtyard at 5pm followed by a cocktail hour from 530-630, and then a lovely dinner in the Rose Room for the remainder of the evening. Their decor, ambiance, service, food, and attentiveness to our needs and CoVid health concerns was 5 Star +. The food was beyond exceptional: We had some food allergies and the chef was even able to prepare a gluten/dairy free wedding cake for us! Oh, last but not least, my wife and I stayed at the Inn on our wedding night and it was also a 5 Star experience: Thoughtful touches and surprises, beautiful rooms, breakfast in bed, and personalized service. I highly recommend the Post House Inn and team for any event, dinner, or B&B experience!!!
My husband and I had a fantastic date night - the atmosphere is gorgeous, the food was amazing, and our serve David was exceptional. And, they were able to adapt everything to be gluten-free for us. Definitely one of our new favorite spots!
I have a severe gluten allergy and ordered the broccoli rabe & sausage, and the chicken wings (which are cooked separate in the wood fire over) everything was so good. Totally gluten free. No cross contamination!
I was shocked at the gluten free crust, it had tons of flavor and fluffy. Not a crummy cardboard dough at all! Definitely will go back to try the gluten free pizza.
