The gluten-free apple fries were so good. The owner made them fresh while I waited. She was so friendly. 10/10 recommend even if you don’t need a gluten free place. It’s a short walk from the cruise ship port
The server we had was lovely, when my grandfather ordered the gluten free option, and the bread it came with was a bit hard and crumbly, he took the meal off the bill. My order was great and had no complaints. The music was a bit loud and made it hard to have a conversation, but everything else was great.
Just a heads up that if you're looking for gluten-free food, the owner told my husband that they no longer make certain items. The information on the website is out of date. My husband said the food was okay although the coffee could have been better.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Seemed dirty inside, the food was small and under cooked, and the gluten free items were TERRIBLE and also under cooked. The waitress over stepped by offering our toddler juice and freezies (as nice of a gesture as it was, we don’t normally offer these things to our toddler). On top of all the terrible the prices are insane, and the portion so small.
Don’t go.
I’m in love with your gluten free menu! The fish & chips, and breaded shrimp are so good!! I’ve also had the Lebanese combo which was out of this world!!
Consistently great food. The tuna, nachos and chicken burger are all exceptionally good. Many gluten-free options but could use more non-seafood dishes.

A nice store to visit for gifts- they carry preserves, candies in glass jars, along with other consumable local goods from PEI. They also have a dining section at the garden cafe, which offer a diverse option for cafe beverages and food (including vegan and gluten free dishes).
Lobster Dip DELICIOUS! I prefer the gluten free option of corn chips instead of the sliced baguette, only because the dip is so rich the crispy chip is nicer (my opinion) Tuna tartare and pan fried halibut fresh-very good. The service is great. Servers all very friendly and accommodating. The owner operators of this establishment-another property in Charlottetown, know exactly what they’re doing. The quality and portion sizes are not disappointing. North Rustico was battered by hurricane Fiona so things are still a bit rough and scared. The boardwalk is a great way to digest your lunch or dinner. Bon appetit.
A special gluten free menu available! I ordered a lobster roll with a GF bun. I wanted to try the GF chowder, but it was unfortunately out. The roll was incredibly delicious with a good portion of lobster.
We were on the patio as they were fully booked inside. The server was fantastic by keeping us informed, and she offered us blankets for the patio. Service was decently quick considering how packed they were.
Winding down our visit to the island we decided to give Pedro's Island Eatery a try. Most everything else has shutdown for the off season.
My wife has gluten sensitivities and discussed the food options with the chef over the phone. He indicated that he had a fairly flexible menu and she decided to try the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables were all fresh not frozen and cooked to perfection. The salmon was unbelievable.
I had the Seafood Linguini which had a good helping of seafood and noodles again cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice.
Will probably eating here on our last night on the island and will definitely return on our next trip into Rustico.
Good food, gluten free options, even gf french fries! Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We'll be back the next time we come to the Island!
Took my Wife out for her 38th Birthday! First time coming to Gahan House! We had the Nachos to start and some Grigio, then we had chicken and chorizo Stir-Fry as the Gluten free option And the Pork Belly Tacos with Fries! Was delightfully surprised with the food! The portion sizes were pretty large which left us unable to order dessert sadly…. Atmosphere was great! The Gahan house is a great spot to go, the menu doesn’t have that much for selection but sometimes too many choices aren’t good either.
Our waitress Briarson (looks like Julia Stiles and Emma watson hybrid) was great. The food was good, the dual patty burger was amazing and it was with gluten free buns which is awesome. Overall great experience, great food, great waitress.
The lemonade was meh though, it was a citrus liquidy nightmare on your tastebuds. Stick to ice tea
Excellent food and service. A lovely view. Only minor complaint is that the menu is limited but it's a small restaurant so they're probably trying to keep their ingredients fresh. The prices are very reasonable given the quality. Has gluten free options.
Thought I'd grab a snack before having a drink at Baba's Lounge ($15 for a Can of local cider). I absolutely love Hummus, but what they serve here was really bland despite being made from scratch, I unfortunately ate it to be polite. They really need to improve this appetizer, especially as a gluten-free option with hidden additional costs for no bread. Their (now deleted) response to my review was really weird, too so I switched it to 1 star.
I had a gluten free haddock bun, with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was so delicious, the haddock tender, the fries perfect with a dipping sauce.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for great seafood!! Great waitress, and a great view of the water.
Very friendly staff, we were able to eat outside with our pets on the picnic tables. Very nice for people traveling with their pets. The seafood was great and the gluten free options were well identified!
This is the second time we have had dinner at the Landmark. My husband is an excellent cook so we rarely eat out but when we are on the island The Landmark is now a must. The fish is fresh, the creative sides complement the main dish and the atmosphere is cozy. The kitchen graciously accommodated my need for a gluten free meal and the sampling of different raw oysters was amazing. Thank you, Landmark, for providing such fine fare.
Margaritas were awesome! They need gluten free pasta and should work on making the steak and scallops look more appetizing. Server was excellent. Would go again.
From the time you sit to the time you leave. You are looked after. My wife is gluten-free (not siliac), so our waitress was really helpful and telling us what was or what could be gluten-free.
Had the pleasure of eating lunch at Brothers 2 Restaurant on a day trip to Summerside. It was a bit of a wait to get seated (they had just had a busy lunch hour), but once we were, the service was fantastic. Charlie was our server and was friendly, attentive, and efficient. I ordered a burger on a gluten-friendly bun with a side of mashed potatoes (some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had), and the rest of my dining companions had the lunch-sized fish and chips. Really good food. Would definitely return!
Food is delicious! Some great Gluten-free food!! I regularly go here, because of the people that work there and how good the food is. Reasonably priced, too!
Great place right on the Harbour, and a short walk from the main street. Service was attentive and quick, the food was delicious and hearty, and the view was quite picturesque. They also had a good amount of Gluten Free options as well.

A must see in PEI for the gardens alone! Art gallery was beautiful, gardens were amazing (and so big), lovely shop with cute little gifts, and the dinner at the cafe was delicious. Amazing gluten free options too.
I’ll be recommending this place to anyone travelling to PEI.
I was so happy to discover they have a wide selection of gluten free options! I order here once a week and haven't been disappointed yet. The portions are so generous...it takes me 2 sittings to finish one meal! Thank you so much for your great food, and great service!
Food is great but they keep messing up our orders. I always order pad sew, extra spicy. Sometimes I get extra spice, multiple times gotten no spice at all. Sometimes I get gluten free noodles I didn't ask for. Pay more attention guys.
We stopped in here for a late lunch. We actually came in 20mins before close not realizing it closed at 2:00 but the staff was super welcoming anyway.
The whole place has a fun/chill vibe. Could have easily stayed for an hour and enjoyed the space if we had the time.
The food was awesome, so full of flavour and delicious. The gluten-free bagels were surprisingly good. The salad was really bright and refreshing. The breakfast sandwich was savoury with a nice mix of crunch from the bread and soft from the egg.
I plan to come back every time I'm in the area.
Lovely view, friendly staff and amazing food! We ordered the lobster dinners and the staff even had a handmade gluten free biscuit for me!
We had to sit on the deck because we had our dog with us, and it was beautiful, but unfortunately the mosquitos in the area made us rush out. Hazard of the location, but just something to be aware of - bring bug spray!
We were in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast. The food and service were great. I was happy to find out the hollandaise sauce was gluten free and the potatoes were amazing.
I got the Benny bowl.
This was absolutely the worst tempura and sushi I have ever had in my life!!!
First, let’s talk about the tempura. As a classic Japanese dish, I believe every chef who has the courage to make tempura should master the basic techniques to avoid disrespecting Japanese culture. What I got was a plate of soggy and soft shrimp—so soft it felt like gummy worms—where the batter had completely separated from the shrimp (the photo was taken one minute after it was served).
Judging by appearance alone, it seems the chef simply tossed the shrimp into the fryer without using the correct tempura frying method (creating that crisp, uneven texture by flicking extra batter into the oil). The color of the tempura was also pale, suggesting an incorrect egg yolk ratio.
Next, the texture. Upon tasting, I encountered batter that was overmixed to the point where the gluten was activated, giving the batter a chewy and doughy texture—a disaster! Of course, when dipping the shrimp into this disastrous batter, the shrimp itself was too wet, as it hadn’t been properly dried or dusted with flour beforehand. This caused the batter to separate severely from the shrimp. The chewy batter and wet shrimp were essentially forced into an unhappy "marriage" in the fryer, but they were clearly incompatible. You can see in the photo how the batter clings to the slimy shrimp like it doesn’t want to be there. LOL. I mean, is this supposed to be a dumpling?
This dish was priced at $12. For that price, you could at least add some inexpensive fried vegetables underneath the shrimp to make the portion look larger. Couldn’t you?
Next is the sushi. I don’t even want to use words to describe it. All I felt was a few mushy blobs of sticky paste in my mouth. Did you guys accidentally put toothpaste in the sushi? If you’re going to sell sushi, I think you should spend more time researching how to properly prepare sushi rice and enhance the texture, like adding something crunchy inside. The only positive thing was that I liked the level of acidity in the sushi, but that only made it barely edible.
I don’t understand how a chef working in a restaurant with a decent atmosphere can get all the basics so wrong. I think watching a few YouTube videos would help you a lot. LOL.
Lastly, the sake tasted cheap—like boxed white wine served at low-end restaurants. I understand this isn’t a fancy place, but with a bill of over $60 before tax and tip for two people, this isn’t exactly cheap either.
I felt like I was in NYC. Great veggie omelet, really good coffee, gluten-free toast, reasonable price--and they remembered me when I came in the next morning. Such a great place for a single woman. Come here and start your day on PEI.
Could be a lovely spot. It's right on the water's edge, and the view is lovely, but everything else leaves something to be desired. After being pushed by the server to "just choose something to drink," my fiance ordered the spinach dip, with the seafood Linguine, and a flight of beers to drink since he wanted to try them all. I had the chowder, with the Lobster roll, and asked for them to be gluten free. Our apps came out pretty quickly, but my chowder had 2 Baguette slices on the side of it. We called the server back and asked if they were GF, and she said said no, as if it was a stupid question. My fiance took the bread from my bowl, and we ate. Luckily, I am not that sensitive and cross contamination doesn't usually make me sick. The apps were fairly good, but didn't seem to be very fresh. Our mains came before we were even halfway through the apps. My Lobster roll came on 2 GF slices of bread, with a leaf of Lettuce and a fair helping of Lobster filling. My fiancé's Linguine had a thick tomato sauce that wasn't warmed all the way through, and several cold peices of fish, scallops, and mussles. We tried our mains, and I found mine to be truly tastless, and my fiancé said only his noodles were warm. I had to add more mayo to my roll because it was incredibly dry, and my fiancé couldn't even finish his meal, saying that it tasted like it was made yesterday. Our sever stood at the front of the room, on her phone, and we had to go get her any time we needed anything. When it was time to pay, she had her back to us, scrolling on her phone, talking to one of her co workers. The co worker finally pointed out that we were there, and our server brought over our bill.
Everything marked gluten friendly on this menu has been in a deep fryer with gluten products. So if you have a proper gluten allergy and can’t eat seafood you actually can’t eat anything here. Weird how you would never see something cross contaminated with nuts marked as nut friendly. Actually offer allergen friendly options or don’t.
Neeti and Sushil were amazing! Very friendly and accommodating. They were able to customize my order to be gluten-free and vegetarian. The fruits and vegetables were also very fresh. The atmosphere was also very lively.
MJ, Weng, and Mich were amazing and very careful with the gluten free. She went out of her way to make sure it was safe for celiacs. A wonderful experience!!
