A dream for those with celiac disease.
Almost every dish there can be prepared gluten-free, and the staff are knowledgeable.
The vanilla ice cream was at risk of being contaminated with gluten, so it was served in a separate bowl so everyone could decide for themselves whether to take the risk.
We had an extremely sweet chocolate pancake version and a savory crepe with ham, cheese, and egg; both were incredibly delicious and highly recommended.
The service was very nice and friendly.
We wanted to sit outside, but the ambiance isn't quite as nice there, a bit reminiscent of a backyard, but otherwise everything was great.
This place is just great, the service is at the counter but the staff is super helpful and above all their vegan cakes are just incredible. They even have gluten-free vegan options sometimes.
We go there for vegan desserts but they also have meal options.
We stopped here on our last night in Nice. We got take out and were able to wait inside. They will only do take away if they aren't busy. This was our first time trying socca, but it was very delicious and affordable. Highly recommend this place. They only offer socca, so everything is gluten free.
Don't get what people are complaining about, the butter chicken was great and the service super fast would recommend if you want some nice comfort food. Side note my gf is celiac and it's a very gluten free friendly place as the owner was super helpful regarding that. Thank you ! 🙏
We were there and there were different menus to choose from. These menus consist of three courses. Gluten intolerant people will definitely find something on the menu. The service was very friendly and accommodating despite our poor knowledge of English. We had taken a seat outside, but the cars were annoying because they constantly stopped there and left their engines running.
In fact, I would go again if I'm in Nice. Very tasty and fine dishes from Nice are offered.
I didn't eat the mussels, however we went there several times for lunch during our holiday in Nice and we enjoyed it very much. Also excellent for those who have gluten problems, I ate the socca and the galette. Good prices!
We really appreciated the cuisine and the kindness of the staff.
Even for the dish of the day, they agreed to change the linguine for rice due to gluten intolerance. The formula of the day is also incredible in terms of quality/price.
THANKS.
We had breakfast on the terrace which is very pleasant. They have gluten-free bread options and the fruit bowl is delicious. My friend had French toast which was very good (they don't have that gluten-free one). The delicious cappuccino. Highly recommended
Absolutely beautiful. Outside the streets where there is a lot of hustle and bustle. The tapas are fantastic and the staff are efficient and pleasant. Lunch/dinner here is recommended. Labeling for gluten-free options. They were good!
Excellent dinner spot for our final dinner in Nice. It’s not cheap but it was a real treat. Every course was packed with flavour. A great place for modern French food.
The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. I have a gluten allergy and they took great care to make sure I knew what was safe for me to order. I ate here without any issues and felt very reassured.
The only small downside was that service was slightly slow. But overall still an excellent place to eat.
A pure moment of culinary bliss. The Citrus restaurant offers a warm, intimate, and welcoming atmosphere. Three colleagues were visiting Nice, looking for a memorable dinner—and we were delighted.
A huge thank you to Clara, our exceptional waitress. Her sincere smile, palpable passion for cooking, and detailed explanations of the menu enriched our entire experience. She perfectly embodies the art of attentive and professional service.
Everything on the plate was exquisite:
• Starters: I chose the scallops served in their shells, accompanied by crisp vegetables and Thai-spiced butter—a refined and perfectly executed starter. One of my colleagues enjoyed the sea bream ceviche, fresh and colorful.
• Main Courses: My two colleagues savored the confit Iberian pork shoulder, a tender and flavorful dish. For my part, the grilled swordfish, accompanied by tandoori sweet potato purée and coconut cream, was exceptionally tender and delicately seasoned.
• Desserts: The Citrus-style tiramisu was a real favorite with my colleagues. For my part, the gluten-free intense chocolate cake, served with sweet ginger ice cream, was to die for.
• Drinks: The recommended wine was delicious, and the coffee at the end of the meal was simply perfect.
The atmosphere was calm, well-located, ideal for a quiet chat. We warmly recommend this establishment. Thanks again to Clara, who deserves our full recognition.
An absolute culinary delight. Citrus is a warm and welcoming restaurant where the three of us, visiting Nice, enjoyed an unforgettable evening.
Clara, our server, was truly outstanding—kind, enthusiastic, and deeply passionate about the food. Her smile and insightful descriptions of the menu elevated the entire experience. She exemplifies professionalism and genuine hospitality.
Everything we ordered was delicious:
• Starters: I had the scallops served in shells with vegetables and Thai-spiced butter — beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. One of my friends enjoyed the sea bream ceviche, which was fresh, colorful, and flavorful.
• Main courses: My two companions ordered the slow-cooked Iberian pork shoulder with ginger onion jam — rich and satisfying. I had the grilled swordfish, which was incredibly tender, served with tandoori sweet potato puree and coconut cream. A perfect balance of flavor.
• Desserts: The Citrus-style tiramisu was a highlight for them. I chose the gluten-free dark chocolate lava cake with sweet ginger ice cream — heavenly.
• Drinks: The recommended wine was spot on, and the coffee at the end was excellent.
The setting is calm, cozy, and well-located — perfect for a relaxing dinner. We highly recommend this gem. Heartfelt thanks again to Clara for her outstanding service.
Excellent vegan fast food! was really good ! especially loved the burger, the croissant, the milkshake and little side salad! it was good, maybe just missing on some more gluten free and healthier options but overall liked it a lot! staff was cool too and nice little terrasse
Had a lovely experience with my gluten-free husband, he had choices!! Loved the snails and the famous chicken was very tasty. 2 courses €28 and €15 for 500mls of wine. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable re gluten free. Very quirky décor. Thank you
Where to start...
The view? The kitchen? The service? The decor?
Lunch here is just the certainty of a timeless moment.
Overlooking the Promenade des Anglais, we will delight in both the view and the cuisine. From the blue of the sky & the sea, through the modern furniture and the all-vegetated terrace offering a shades of green, color is everywhere in the 3rd, even in the chef's plates, rich in local and seasonal products, with expertly crafted condiments. associated and small colorful flowers.
Extremism at its peak, and this is even felt in the service, where nothing is left to chance and especially not customer satisfaction...
I highly recommend, and I will come back for the next card!
Special mention for the attention paid to celiac patients (gluten intolerance): large choice of gluten-free dishes, they also have gluten-free and contamination-free bread, and for dessert the Vacherin (signature of the chef) is gluten-free but above all to to fall !
Food was decent. Service was awful. Our waiter was very rude and impatient the entire evening. He also threw all our coke bottle caps in the street and our wine cork in the canal. It is a shame to see a local restaurant liter such a beautiful and historic place.
Also, their gluten free options on their menu are outdated and no longer offer GF.
We had a delicious meal here that all four of us enjoyed. There was only one (or two?) gluten free options on the menu - the ribs - and they were huge and very much enjoyed by those who ate them.
Located on a charming street, the waiters are very friendly and the food is good. There are alternatives to cow's milk and gluten for those with sensitive skin!
We had to wait about an hour for a table but it was worth the wait. It was actually fun having a glass of wine and chatting with the other people sat in the queue.
The starter for one of pear and gorgonzola salad was big enough for the 3 of us and full of different fruit and nuts. The special lamb shank and mash was delicious. Even boring old creme brule came in exciting flames to the table. A spectacular meal. No problem for gluten free choices either.
