Today we traveled 160 km to eat at Germany's first 100% gluten-free restaurant.
It was an unforgettable experience for our family, and especially for our son who has celiac disease.
The menu is very varied, the ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are freshly cooked and prepared in-house.
We sampled everything and shared everything. It was incredibly delicious. The price for the four of us wasn't any more than we would have paid at a traditional Italian restaurant.
The excellent service and the friendliness of the entire staff were also particularly noteworthy!
We'll be back, thank you very much!
Went as a family with our two young children. We were promptly helped and provided a high chair. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pizza was great how delightful to find a gluten free dinner option! Celiac sufferers in Kassel rejoice!
Great restaurant, incredibly friendly service, and everything gluten and lactose-free! The taste is truly amazing! If you have celiac disease or any food intolerances, you can eat here without worry! Brilliant!
After our New Year's walk in the Karlsaue, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch here today.
In addition to the dog-friendliness (a bowl of water and a treat bag with high-quality treats were brought to us without asking!) and exemplary hospitality, I would like to emphasize that the pancake dough is generally lactose-free and even GLUTEN-FREE upon request!
You really look for it for a long time in Kassel, and the pancakes are simply sensationally delicious and worth recommending!
The "Pancake" is beautifully located between Fulda and Karlsaue, the furnishings are homely and cozy (with a fireplace), the toilets are very clean and the menu leaves nothing to be desired, even for hearty connoisseurs!
Kind regards from Ahnatal,
Melanie and Volker with Joy
Great gluten-free pizza, very friendly service, and the Negroni was also excellent. We had a table reserved for late afternoon (Friday). Thank you for the lovely evening.
We'd love to come back.
We were very disappointed. We know Vapiano well and have been to different branches frequently. The payment system was impersonal.
The chosen parmesan was forgotten, the pasta was mushy and the food was lukewarm at best. The gluten-free pinsa was very rich, but only lukewarm and the vegetables were extremely oily. 22€ for the Pinsa is completely exaggerated!
It's a shame there's no gluten-free pasta anymore. We don't want to go back here.
Gluten-free cheesecake paradise and mostly every breakfast variation can be made gluten-free as well like the homemade granola in the acai or the replacement of the bread when you want a Benedict badly. The service shows lots of attitude. But the cheesecakes are really all worth to smile and sip a matcha.
A lovely café with delicious cakes and very pleasant service. You can order from outside using a QR code, and everything will be served to you. If you're looking to avoid refined sugar and gluten, this is the place for you.
Super tasty pizza and the owner did everything he could to ensure that we didn't get wet outside while it was raining. Everything also available gluten-free! Highly recommended!
Really good breakfast, especially things you never make yourself, like poached eggs etc! The price is upper middle class, but you don't go every week! Gluten-free bread was no problem and apparently contamination-free, otherwise I would have noticed it straight away.
The burgers were very tasty. The gluten-free bun offered was also available. The location, right next to the train station, is good. Absolutely recommended, especially because of the top burgers.
Our visit to the restaurant was a complete success. The service was really top and very accommodating. We were particularly impressed by how attentively any intolerances were addressed - we even asked again just to be sure.
Gluten-free pizza and pasta is possible.
The food was very tasty and rounded off the evening perfectly. All in all a great experience, we'll definitely be back!
Absolutely recommended. In addition to the very tasty food, there are homemade lemonades that are also great to try.
The prices are extremely low and not just for Frankfurt/Main.
NATURAL: Gluten-free food, suitable for celiac disease possible.
We will travel the extra 120 km for this restaurant again soon.
It's worth it. The “service team”, consisting of the owner couple, is top.
In dry weather you can also eat outside.
Very quaint and fine café with a roastery. Great service and delicious hot and sweet dishes. Breakfast, hearty lunches as well as coffee and cake. And now it comes, the whole thing is also lactose and gluten free.
A very cozy, small bistro/restaurant. Many dishes on the menu are gluten-free. The boss knows her stuff very well and explains exactly how the gf food is prepared. Great attention is paid to contamination. The gluten-free food is prepared and served separately. There is a separate deep fryer and grill.
The food is freshly prepared and we all enjoyed it very much.
The staff are all very friendly and attentive, and also very child-friendly.
We would definitely like to come back.
We are so happy to have discovered this great restaurant! I haven't eaten such delicious pasta in a long time. You can taste the love in every single dish, the atmosphere is very pleasant and you have the feeling that you can take a real break. The best thing: All pasta dishes are also available as gluten-free versions. It tastes incredibly good and I think it is also freshly prepared in-house. All in all, Gianoli is our new favorite Italian restaurant because everyone can find something here and it tastes so incredibly good.
Highly recommended! The burgers are super delicious (we've tried them several times), and the drinks menu leaves nothing to be desired. Huge praise for the super friendly and attentive service; we felt completely at home. It's especially great that guests with food intolerances are also taken into account and gluten-free burger buns are offered – a real plus! The ambiance is very cozy and stylish; the combination of natural stone walls, steel beams, and large windows was exactly what we were looking for. We'll definitely be back :-)
We had a crispy chicken with house fries and the Smashed by Streets with skinny skin fries.
Quality: The burgers are top-notch. They're very high quality. The house fries are a bit thicker but unfortunately quite dry. The skinny skin fries are just completely dry. I can't recommend them at all.
Drinks: The watermelon 🍉 iced tea only tastes like water with syrup. There's not much iced tea.
Sauce: The cheese sauce and ketchup were very good. 🤩
Price: The prices are generally okay for Frankfurt. However, there are two points that I find outrageous. Smashed Burger €20.90 - what for? "The Bull" burger costs €14.90 and also has two patties.
Unfortunately, I have to express a strong criticism of the surcharge for the gluten-free bun. +€1! Why? I didn't choose my gluten intolerance. This surcharge is discriminatory. This could easily be factored into the general pricing model.
We visited this restaurant on a trip to the Odenwald. We chose it for lunch because gluten-free options are advertised on the homepage. Unfortunately, we arrived and there were only the "standard" dishes to choose from, which are either gluten-free. Unfortunately, it's a bit misleading, especially if you choose the restaurant specifically for that reason. Maybe write on the homepage that this is only on request and not always possible. The food was okay, value for money a little expensive but very rustic atmosphere and nice terrace. We were warmly welcomed with our dog.
Very nice and accommodating staff!
Pizza is also available here gluten-free and probably contamination-free, if that's what you need.
The food in general is just delicious.
Went there to eat on a recommendation because you can also get gluten-free schnitzel there. I had a Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce and gluten-free fries. Everything worked out great and it was delicious.
Service very friendly.
Parking spaces also directly next to the restaurant.
Will definitely come by again.

Bad service. Rude, didn’t want to provide recommendations. They told me they had no to go, and then when they took too long they gave me one. They said the fries are gluten free but they are not.
Gluten free, vegan and normal.
Everything is available here and it tastes incredibly good.
I'm now a regular here and will remain one for as long as I can.
Absolute recommendation.🤍
A super cute and small restaurant. There are very tasty vegan and gluten-free cakes, as well as vegan main dishes. We tried the creamy carrot cake: a dream! And the apple crumble cake was also vegan and gluten-free and very tasty.

We drove here from Bingen specifically for the gluten-free dishes and were not disappointed. The selection is very large and everything was delicious. Fast, nice service. We'll definitely come back. Thanks!
We dropped by spontaneously on a Saturday lunchtime and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner. There was no problem finding a table for four people. The pizzas were really tasty, large selection and great value for money.
Lt. The pasta is also available lactose and gluten free. It wasn't relevant to us, but it was positive.
There is parking at the fire station.
This place is beautiful! The restaurant had a very cozy/welcoming feel to it. There are Gluten Free options on the menu (although not many), and they take extra precaution with allergies. I had an excellent meal. I haven't had GF ribs in a long time, and the ones here were delicious! Homemade BBQ sauce & fries & coleslaw.
Friendly, well-trained staff and fast service. Gluten-free options for celiacs on request, good, quality food at reasonable prices. The online ordering system with the QR code is fast and encourages a peaceful break without too much waiting. Clean place. I recommend the roast chicken.
The perfect change from restaurant monotony and standard dishes - although that's also available if you want: the menu ranges from standards for kids and traditionalists (Wiener Schnitzel, etc...) to unusual own creations and great flavor combinations that you can find in the I'm sure I wouldn't have dared to try my own kitchen - and it's absolutely delicious! Large selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, peaceful alongside juicy steak and great burgers. You can taste the high-quality ingredients and attention to detail.
The service was warm and extremely attentive and professional, especially the detailed wine recommendation. Outside in the beer garden you could eat in a relaxed manner under the large umbrellas, despite the drizzle that was starting to rain.
We will definitely come back and we would love to be surprised again with the taste.
I would have liked to try the restaurant with vegan and gluten-free options. When we arrived last Saturday evening, however, there was a closed party and despite making a reservation via the website, I wasn't canceled. Unfortunately, I don't know whether the reservation didn't arrive or the operators didn't think it was necessary to cancel me. When asked in the restaurant they just shrugged. It's a shame because we were in the area on a trip and then had to find somewhere else at short notice.

Small restaurant in a half-timbered house right in the old town with a somewhat rustic but still charming atmosphere. Very cozy furnishings and decoration. The tables in the gallery are particularly pretty.
Well-kept drinks menu.
The food was excellent. And in my opinion it is also freshly cooked. This is the only way to respond to special requests like in my case.
For example, Pinsa is optionally available in a gluten-free version. And the other dishes (also with sauce!) are made to match. And there is even a note that the fries go into the deep fryer, where a schnitzel (with breading) is also fried. That alone speaks volumes about the kitchen!
Service attentive, unobtrusive, friendly and accommodating.
Price performance top! We'd love to come back.
On Wednesday, my best friend, her boyfriend, and I went to Sunny Side Up for the first time for the Trash TV Taco Dinner.
The atmosphere was perfect, the evening was super fun, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating.
A huge plus for me was the option to choose the gluten-free tacos when making my reservation, and there was also a gluten-free option for dessert.
We were very happy that they also offered a non-alcoholic cocktail, but unfortunately, it wasn't quite to our taste—but everyone has different tastes.
The screen was clearly visible from all seats, the volume was perfect, and there was even a bingo game.
All in all, an absolutely fantastic evening!
The food was delicious and the service was also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for people with celiac disease, many things are gluten-free, including breadcrumbs upon request.
We were here to eat and the service responded immediately to gluten-free food. The food was simply a poem. The service was top notch and the ambience was simply fantastic. Mashed potatoes were prepared for our 1.5 year old son
