Went here for a brunch meal, it was very busy so be prepared to come back later when it quietens down. We had the pancakes and Waffles and everything is gluten free and so delicious! Highly recommend
Very expensive price unjustifiable with the quality of the dishes. Very basic Greek salad, with lettuce leaves without even cutting them and almost without dressing €14.5. The most expensive French toast I've seen in Porto with slices of sirloin that were too thick and tough. The bland cod cakes. The Caldo verde was worth €9 when we ate it elsewhere for €2.5. In short, a place to avoid since they use the excuse of gluten-free to scare tourists and on top of that there is no air conditioning.
A great pizzeria, with super friendly service from the very first moment. David, the owner, is charming and makes you feel at home. If you have celiac disease or an egg allergy, this is an ideal place: they have many gluten-free and egg-free options that are safe and delicious.

Ingredients were good quality and price was reasonable, but ordering was a nightmare and despite getting a market plate and an extra side, I left still hungry.
I asked whether the chicken dish I ordered was gluten free and was told yes, but it arrived covered in breadcrumbs.
Additionally, I was brought the wrong order twice before they got it right, including the second time where they added bread despite me clearly asking for the salad because it was gluten free.
Others with allergens here should keep in mind that although some other allergens are labeled clearly, gluten is not.

Had a lovely meal here. Great for gluten fee, knowledgeable friendly staff, menu clearly labelled and staff confirmed all orders to be sure all gluten free. Had the mozzarella salad, delicious squid and amazing duck risotto.
Very small resturant on the water front. Seating outside with about 5 tables for 2 inside.

Fantastic meal here. Just back of the river front and behind the restaurant Rib. Great atmosphere. Good for gluten free. Knowledgeable staff and lots of options for those with dietary restrictions. Food was delicious but go hungry as portions generous. Had a sea bass and.octopus as mains, both of which were great. All dishes looked good.
Delicious mouse for desert.
Good wine selection.
All reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. Booking needed.
It's super good, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. One drawback is that if you're celiac or gluten-intolerant, it's quite exhausting to be charged the difference and an extra 1 euro. It just doesn't make sense. Otherwise, everything is delicious, the atmosphere is super nice, and so is the place.
A lovely family owned restaurant. The food was great, and the owners were so lovely and accommodating as we had no reservation and got a table quite late. They had a separate gluten free menu too which was great for my friend. They made it a great experience for us. I’ll be thinking about the chocolate dream cake for a long time!
Amazing gluten free brunch. Fresh ingredients and a peaceful space to enjoy in. Ordered the scrambled eggs, came with a gluten free cracker instead of sourdough which was turnout out to be a nice substitute and the whole meal was very filling.
Great resturant. Limited gluten free choices but all labelled, knowledge and friendly staff well informed on cross contamination.
Non GF food all looked great.
We had tortilla, veal capaccio and prawn risotto. All delicious.
Great setting with a good vibe in the main railway station.
Booking required as constantly busy.
Fantastic food & quality! (tuna tacos are simply AMAZING!). Tasty gluten free beer. Super efficient & friendly servers. One of the best places to eat in Porto!
It is a spectacular place to eat and have a great time with family or friends.
The food is great and as far as allergens are concerned there is nothing to worry about.
As for the waiters, they are all charming, especially a boy with glasses who brought me a complimentary gluten-free skewer because he had heard that I have celiac disease. Unfortunately, not understanding Portuguese well, I understood that he had made a mistake and I rejected it. Thank you very much anyway, if I have the chance, I will try all the delicious gluten-free skewers again. A kiss❤️❤️❤️
I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back "Hola!
It will be a pleasure to receive you. We cook mainly with corn so you’ll find almost all our option gluten free. Of course with your allergies we will have reduce some of the plates we are offering but we believe you will still have many dishes to choose from.
Muchas Gracias,
FRIDA"
An hour before walked. But once there, you are assured of a gluten free menu because it is even on the tables. What friendly staff. Really a very good quality ratio! For €10,- a 3 course served…
The food and service were beyond exceptional. From the start to the finish, it was just a pleasure to be there. My fiancé is celiac and they made sure on each level that everything she had was gluten free. If you are visiting Porto, highly recommend coming here. Yes, it is pricey compared to other restaurants but that is expected when you go for a fine dining. Will come back next time we travel to Porto. Huge shoutout to the staff🙏🏽

We stumbled upon this wonderful venue to escape the rain. Then we were enchanted. We enjoyed an excellent wine tasting and made some great friends with other guests. When we asked about a celiac-friendly restaurant, we were promptly invited to the restaurant at the back of the shop. We could hardly believe the dreamy ambiance that awaited us. This was followed by an unforgettable dinner with wine pairing. When we left the venue several hours later, it was still raining, but our mood couldn't have been better. We left slightly tipsy and with our stomachs full of delicious food. A very special thank you goes to the entire service team. We haven't experienced such excellent, attentive, and friendly service in a long time. We will definitely be back.

This is a very small restaurant run by a chef and a hostess/server with excellent tapas style food. We had an amazing experience here and some of the best salmon poke and tuna we've had. I am gluten free and although they don't have a dedicated Gf kitchen space or gf bread, we were seated at the counter when we could see the chef prepare the food and he was very careful about preparation. You could tell that he is well organized and always prepares food with care and it was not just because we could see him. Because it is a small restaurant, nothing is fast, but it's totally worth the wait.

Hi nice place in city center specially for sea food lover , ala carte or chiefs menu both option are great , staff very friendly and accommodating dietary option like gluten free .
Enjoyed a delicious meal here. Needed some gluten free options, and the staff were very helpful.
Great friendly service from Fernando.
The food was superb.
If you are around this way, I recommend this restaurant.
In addition to the usual friendliness of the employees and managers, from the mushroom pizza to the savory and sweet crepes, Meidin has gluten-free pizzas that are celiac-proof, great!!
During the week it's super calm, at the weekend it's a place for families full of kids to share, we've been regular customers for many years 🤗
The staff is extremely friendly and I think the food would have been ok. I asked to confirm what was gluten free. The cook said I could have the hake it came out without any seasoning at all. Bland and a bit over cooked. My friend fish was delicious tho
Staff recommended octopus and it was absolutely delicious! Most items on the menu can be made gluten free. Great location to sit outside and enjoy a view of the local buildings.
One of the best restaurant meals I've ever had! Came with a friend on our first night in porto, amazing food, delicious wine, fantastic service and great fancy atmosphere all at an amazing price. Good Gluten Free options as well. 1000% recommended!
They did not recommend it in the hotel where we were staying and they were not wrong...the treatment is very good with the care of gluten and the food is delicious.
Very nice cafe with very warm and helpful staff and very tasty food!!
I was even able to order the bread from my dish and was allowed to eat the gluten-free bread I had brought with me! Really great!
We'd love to come back!
I’m a business traveller who arrived late in the evening, i’m also a coeliac.
The waiter was fantastic, very accommodating and explained that they could modify the dishes to my needs. Unfortunately as I did not have a reservation I had to eat outside on my own which was okay and then he told me it was tapas style.
Each dish arrived and I managed to complete each dish completely with a significant wait before the next was delivered. I was given the side dish of zucchini first with a 10 minute gap before the beef arrived.
I waited an especially long time for the final dish which happened to be the most simple. I went inside to explain that I felt like I had been abandoned outside and was then marched to the kitchen and given a stern telling off for daring to question the maitre d’.
He told me in the 20 years he’s been running restaurants he’d never heard of a Tapas bar where they delivered dishes at the same time. This wasn’t my point. I explained that I didn’t expect the dishes at the same time but I did expect to at least have the next dish arrive whilst enjoying the previous one; not completely separate. I also said I didn’t expect the most simple dish to be delivered last after the beef dish, which was the obvious main.
Anyway, after an extraordinarily long gap between my penultimate and final course; the latter arrived and despite being fried was luke warm. I asked for the bill.
The waiter seemed very embarrassed and apologetic when I asked for the bill. I said “ I hadn’t expected to be marched to the kitchen like a naughty schoolboy but it was a new experience”
So in summary; a lovely restaurant with great food and wait staff, flexible for food allergies but appalling at service, probably because I was a single diner who was abandoned outside.
If you’re here as a couple I’m sure you’d have a great experience; if you’re a business traveller on your own maybe not.
Traditional Portuguese food and NOT touristy. He is served by a charming couple.
We ate different dishes of octopus and cod, grilled alheira (something different to try)
A celiac can eat almost anything.
Best meal we had in a while! They did gluten free adapted meal on request: I was ensured they used a fresh pan and utensils to avoid cross contamination.
Try the white sangria and the chocolate mousse (!).
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted, seated and served with what appeared to be an effortless perfection.
With each course and wine on our tasting menu and wine flight, the team of 3 gentlemen presented and articulated the offering with expert knowledge, and genuine, personable humour.
What appeared to be effortlessly perfect service was almost certainly a potent mix of talent, passion and a tireless pursuit of perfection.
As for the food. Simply put, it was the finest meal I've experienced. From the delicate Cardinal Shrimp, to the culinary explosion of the Fois Grois 2.0. The only negative I have about the evening was that it sadly had to come to an end.
I should also mention that my partner who I dined with was a coeliac, and they happily modified the menu where necessary to give her the full experience on offer.
(I am editing my comments to clarify the false accusations that you did about me and I will proof that with your proposal that you sended to me and my response to you,
Even that you are lying about me and trying to change the topic that you served a spoiled raw fish,
Your reply was soo low and I would like to give answer for all the things but doesn’t worth it I know the truth.)
First of all, I am a chef who is working in Michelin star restaurant.
This was truly an awful experience for me.I will explain you why.
Because my girlfriend choose this restaurant for my birthday on 28.9.2024 and we attended to order 1 vegetarian and 1 normal tasting menu but we couldn’t order vegetarian menu because of we didn’t inform them before(I can understand if it was a gluten or lactose allergy but it’s just a vegetarian every restaurant must have a vegetarian option)
And then we ordered normal tasting menu.
The moments they brought was nice until they sended an expired fish which is uncooked bonito fish can you imagine the danger? And ofcourse we sended back to plate but after that they didn’t even apologize about that and they said it was fine!!!!!
And almost every fine dining restaurant sents small cake for birthday but not here,
They put candle on last step of the menu and sended that as a cake.
I can tell you it was a horrible experience.
Food, wine, and service were all excellent. One of our party is gluten and dairy intolerant and the menu states GF for many items but we did our best on dairy and it worked out. Very nice experience, would recommend!
The sublime octopus and clams. The spectacular chocolate mousse. Great value for money. Very attentive service and several gluten-free options. The only downside, the liter and a half bottle of mineral water was expensive (4.5 euros). For the rest, to repeat without a doubt.
I loved this restaurant. The place is nice it has atmosphere. I like the name, seems like funny guys own it. The food was great. I asked for gluten free shrimps as starter, steak with potatoes. They had also dessert, chocolate musse. Service is very nice, speak a little english, but they have english menu and also menu in some other languages. The food was excellent hence I give 5 stars.
Great restaurant in Porto. We enjoyed our meal. Every dish we ordered was delicious. They were also very knowledgeable about gluten free, as one of our family members has Celiac. The server was also lovely and brought a desert with a little candle in it to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It was so sweet and much appreciated. We saw people turned away because they were so busy, so reservations are recommended.
Disappointing, expensive and a "tourist trap". We didn't like the famous house cod: too much of everything. For gluten free...stay away, they don't understand anything.
Our experience was not positive

PERFECT sushi! The rotation menu is quite varied, with many options and also several options for dietary restrictions (such as gluten and lactose intolerance). All the items I ordered were delicious and of high quality. Everything very fresh and well made. The service is very polite and attentive. I highly recommend it and I intend to return!
A wonderful small place to eat local food. The stuff is super friendly, the food was amazing. They had glutenfree and dairyfree options.
I absolutely recomend to try!
