Fantastic find that they offer gluten free fish n chips. I also had the sudden salad & it was huge!! Wish I lived local. Love the old fashioned booths too, nice charm & lots of staff too (a rare find these days)
We came into the lounge yesterday as a walk in of 6. Although they were extremely busy we were greeted at the door with smiles and informed of what to do and the fact there was a wait on food. They also asked for our dietary requirements which was superb as im gluten free. They seated us promptly at a clean table which was a nice surprise in such a busy place. We ordered our food and drink at the bar as suggested by the app due to my gluten allergy. We were informed by the girl ar the bar that she wasn't able to take the order but she would get her manager to take the order. Within a matter of a few seconds both the manager and the girl was back. He proceeded to take our order looking after mine first and read it all back to make sure it was correct. Drinks arrived promptly and we enjoyed the atmosphere whilst waiting. We were informed of how long our food was going to take at every available moment. The manager himself took the opportunity to make sure we were okay with everything whilst waiting. He also brought my gluten free food first which was another surprise as I often am left last to eat. All members of staff who were on tonight should be proud of themselves. I never once saw a drop in service even across other tables and it was nice still being interacted with. The food was also impeccable, with being a chef myself I know what it's like in a hot kitchen especially when it's busy so we'll done chefs! Last I want a special mention to the manger himself. He was always doing something but made sure we weren't forgotten and it made the experience 10 times better. We will be back!
Great options for gluten free. Tends to get busy on evenings, and when there is a concert on at the Open air theatre, so pre booking is advised! Blue light card is accepted here too !
Great food staff was so helpful, great choices for a Gluten Free diet. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Have eaten in many restaurants all over the world definitely in my top 5.
Definitely one of the must-eat places to go.
Absolutely brilliant place - the service is excellent and the food was really good. They are super switched on around allergens etc. and the Gluten Free burger was one of the best we'd had, even had GF beers to wash it down with. Would highly recommend.
Lovely staff, lady we.think her name was Morgan, very friendly polite and professional, all other staff also attentive. Very good with vegan and gluten-free options as in Scarborough it's difficult to find, but at Askims they were thorough and careful with my dietary requirements. We would definitely recommend 👌

99% polite friendly staff. 1 assistant manager (because the General Manager was too busy, apparently to speak to us), let us down. My husband had phoned in advance of the booking to ensure they could cater for me as a gluten-free vegan, which they repeatedly said yes. Breakfast was a plate of beans with grilled tomatoes. Their bread was not vegan and gluten-free. I had a long day ahead of me and needed to travel to meetings for the full day. My husband tried to explain the situation to the assistant manager. My husband showed her the picture of a plate of beans and tomatoes to say this is not a decent breakfast. She was not bothered and asked my husband what he expexted and could not see what was wrong with a plate of beans and tomato until he asked her if that was what she would be happy with for breakfast? Her attitude and tone were upsetting and unprofessional. When my husband said gluten-free, even egg free bread would be nice. She suggested I have fruit for breakfast. My husband explained I don't eat a plate of fruit for breakfast. (I have 1 piece after each meal). He again explained he had made a call in advance of the booking and clearly explained my dietary requirements, and they had said they could meet my dietary requirements. In the end, I was so upset I went to tesco and purchased a loaf of gluten-free bread. The next morning, the 2 catering staff Mr Bal and a lovely blonde lady who we had explained our situation to on day 1, had already spoken to the chef Aran, who then went ton to make arrangements for me to have a vegan gluten-free breakfast, which included vegan gluten-free bread. On arrival, we had also upgraded to a seafront larger room for extra payment per night for a 2 night stay. The smell of damp and mould was unpleasant even though we kept the windows open all the time. We both came away coughing, worsening asthma, wheezing.
Lovely staff except assistant manager could have been more polite, professional and helpful. I would not recommend if you have any dietary requirements or if you want to avoid the smell of damp and mould as it worsened asthma symptoms. Lovely location. They did send fruit to the room as an apology, but with the heat and smell, we just could not bear to eat it and the attitude of the assistant manager was not right..The afterthought whilst kind was too late.
No AC in rooms. We did nit use Spa / Gym facilities felt claustrophobic when we passed through to look.
Brilliant, booked a table for Sunday roast. Food was fantastic and so rare for my wife who is Coeliac to get a full gluten free roast to include the gravy and obligatory yorkshire pudding.
Staff were great too. Excellent.

The hotel is a little bit dark. It is comfortable, nice lounge and conservatory with tv.
Meals are good decent value. I am gluten free and staff were helpful bringing the toast separately and cornflakes. Could have done with some additional fruit on buffet.
You will be surprised how good this place is, the menu is limited in range, but wide on options, with gluten free highlighted, the staff are to a fault helpful, pleasant and supportive and the environment simply stunning.
Wow!
This little gem punches way beyond its weight!
Andre the Italian owner - chef, provides the customers with typical Italian cuisine.
No delusions of grandeur here, just provision of the authentic delicious real genuine Italian food.
The sit-down cosy restaurant is an intimate setting for that celebratory evening, and the table service is second to none, just right.
Feel the Italian ambience, Italians really are good with food.!
This little restaurant is relatively new, it’s definitely a little gem and it is fast becoming a go -to stop for the genuine discerning foodie.
No airs & graces, no frills, the focus of course is on the provision of genuine quality Italian food.
We love it.!
It’s also a great place for take-away Pizza, excellent Italian quality of course.
Dante is a most welcome addition to Scarborough’s eateries, it’s one of the only Italian owned & managed truly Italian food establishments.
No fake or Anglicised Italian cuisine here.
Quality matters.!
Booking is advisable to guarantee your table.
Gluten free is catered for, and as always, with pleasure.
