For chain pizza it's one of my favorites. The pretzels are amazing and they have a really good gluten free option for my wife. Never disappointed at Tuscaloosa's mellow mushroom
We love Manna! They carry a wide variety, from supplements and self care/beauty products to grocery and pet food. I appreciate the many gluten free products available. They also have in stock local products, such as seasonal produce.
Very accommodating of my gluten allergy. Friendly staff. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals of salmon and filet mignon. And the creme brulee dessert was very yummy.
I was impressed that after the lunch rush, a worker came along to change out the utensils in every salad bar item! Nice variety of choices. My husband had no difficulty in eating gluten-free. My adult daughter gave the tomato-basil soup a B+. And you can't beat the free ice cream!
Love this restaurant, come here at least once a week. Affordable for a college student and great food. I’m gluten free and the staff is very understanding.
A bit pricey. A friend with celiac got two different responses about gluten in their bolognese sauce. Why is there gluten in there?
Good portions. Good flavors. Tiramisu could be improved. Can be a bit noisy.
Beautiful restaurant with great food. If you're looking for delicious vegan options they have lots and even some gluten free. The staff was very helpful and informative.
I am celiac so it is it extremely difficult to find restaurants who can manage my food allergy. I have ordered this for pick-up and got the eggs Benedict (without the English muffin) and it is absolutely delicious! I will continue to be a customer as I know this food is safe for me to eat without any reaction. They have a good understanding of celiac/ gluten allergies.
As a white girl who has eaten a lot of Indian food I was so happy to try this place and taste such wonderful food. I also have a gluten allergy and was very impressed as how knowledgeable they were and could see with fresh ingredients and all the information listed it’s easy to navigate allergies or diets. A lot of the fried items use alternative flour and are fried in a separate fryer. It costs but is worth it and fyi it’s not Tuscaloosa spicy it’s authentic spicy so order accordingly. Staff was kind and helpful.
I have to eat gluten free, so it is very difficult to find a place that has good gluten free options. I ordered the BBQ and potato cakes. It was very nicely played and tasted fabulous! Will definitely be back.
Cozy up to a wonderfully comfy window bench seat and take in the view of passersby while the owner of this establishment warms you up with her friendly demeanor & smile mailing you feel.like you're a guest in her home. Meanwhile, your veganish vittles are being
artfully composed in the kitchen using some surprisingly vegan ingredients.
The owner has really done her homework on the best dairy, gluten & meat free options while still offering a few meats for those who aren't ready for the plant based plunge! I don't know how she uses such high quality ingredients for the prices she charges.
P.S. Whatever you do, don't order the Strawberry Smoothie. It's the yummiest I have EVER and I don't want you to order them all !
Unique vibe - it's in converted church - sets this restaurant and bar apart. High ceilings, sound-absorbing drapes, mood lighting, upholstered booths, eclectic decor with royal and art deco flourishes. For those who remember 301 in Tuscaloosa, it's a bit of that, only more cavernous. Cute back patio with a lawn and a small stage, in addition to a performance stage in the main indoor dining area. Massive screen above the bar for watching the big game. Whether this place is good for a classy date night or an over-decorated sports bar depends on how often that screen gets used.
The tapas style small dishes provide variety and accommodates vegetarian and gluten free diets. Two of us split the bacon wrapped dates, street corn dip, fried cauliflower, croquettes, and sausage stuffed mushrooms. Very good but not top-tier elite cuisine. Terrific cocktails, not outrageously expensive. Good location that's set back from crowded downtown but not too remote. Definitely worth a try!
