So glad we found this place! Dedicated gluten free food and gluten removed beer. The staff was so nice and personable. We will definitely be stopping by again!
Excellent food and service!! Great gf options for celiac. So glad I stopped in, the tomato bisque was amazing! Also had no worries curry, menu labeled and staff was courteous, accommodating and knowledgable. It's a bit hectic when you first walk in, 3 separate entrances and hostess station is in the middle, but just go with it, completely worth it.
Marianna is the best waitress in Key West. Very nice and helpful! I have celiac and she made ordering easy and safe. No reaction at all. Will definitely be back- maybe tomorrow!
Vegan options! WOW the food is really tasty. They have lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options including desserts! We went for lunch. I had the "Chicken" salad sandwich with the bean salad - both were delicious! My husband had the Ceasar Kale salad which was a generous portion. I got the Fresh limeade (also very good). I saw they have breakfast/brunch options too so will definitely be back!
Brunch very good. Waitress was excellent. Nice 2nd floor patio. If you eat gluten free, the breakfast potatoes have cross contamination. I was thankful our waitress informed me as I was ordering. So, watch out for the gluten free options. Awesome gluten free Bloody Mary.

We enjoyed our visit and always have a nice experience. I would come more often if there were more gluten free and vegan options. My sister joined us and wasn’t able to try anything since she is vegan. Maybe a simple apple crisp or similar could be offered??
This is our second time coming here. We came back because this was our favorite meal last year. The food was good, but not as good as last year. The wait staff was helpful in finding gluten-free options for my son. He ordered the 1/2 chicken which I had last year. This time, instead of 1/2 chicken, he was served grilled chicken breasts. Not sure what happened there. Overall, the food was good and the patio is a great place to watch people and roosters.
Very good place to eat. Excellent food and the main host and waiter is very friendly and knows the menu every well. They were very accommodating of our gluten allergy. Highly recommend this place.
We had a wonderful experience. Andrei was able to help us navigate the menu with our gluten free needs. He was able to give us recommendations on how to make items on the menu GF even though they were not listed as GF. The swordfish was wonderfully prepared.
We went for dinner in the main drag of Key West and noticed this cute period house and simple outdoor dining area with a couple of bars. We reviewed the menu and ordered with Elia - a very attentive service staff member. We had the tuna salad, fish of day with lime sauce and steak dishes. It was really healthy, presentable and tasty. They even cater to gluten free.
This was the best meal and service I have ever experienced in Key West. We had the fish of the day and the yellow snapper, both of which were excellent. The key lime pie was delicious, and I appreciated that they had gluten-free options available for each course.
Went here specifically for its GF offering. Service was very poor but the food was great.
Once we managed to get seated and got both menus we were offered some fresh bread but though we’d ordered Gluten Free pasta, when asked, the waitress said no, its not GF, we don’t have GF bread, ok why offer it to us then (here’s something you can’t eat).
My food was brought and the pasta was cold so had to send it back, my wife’s food was brought but was the wrong dish, the waitress even said we don’t have a pasta dish with Italian sausage in but when we showed her the menu she apologised as they did. So now I have hot food my wife has no food, so rather than have them make mine a third time I ate my food and I was 90% finished by the time my wife’s food arrived.
So manage expectations on service and you’ll be happy.
Disappointing that they didn’t offer a coffee of something by way of an apology for a poor dining experience.
My wife and children wanted to take me out for my birthday for Italian eats and La Trattoria did not disappoint. There were accommodating when we requested to move tables. Non c'e problema! My daughter was a little chilly and they gave her a small tablecloth to wear as a 'cape'. How caring and accommodating! The wait staff was friendly and fast. The food was excellent. My son enjoyed his fettuccine Alfredo, my little girl had buttered noodles with chicken and was very happy. Both of them loved the bread and were a little adventurous in trying the oil/vinegar/parmesan dip. Belissima! My wife's gluten free penne was tasty and my tortellini with sweet sausage was very on point.
All that said, they totally blew us away with a surprise desert (at no charge! when does that happen here?). The Tira Misu was TO DIE FOR and they basically put a fireworks show on top of it. The entire restaurant sang to me and I was completely taken aback (see photo).
This was hands-down the best dining experience we've had in a long long time. Coming on the heels of not great experience at another Italian place we realized that sometimes you have to go through some not great stuff to get to the promised land.
Recommend, highly recommend La Trattoria.
GRAZIE MILLE!!!!!
P.S. No I don't wear the same shirt for all my reviews lol, just a coincidence.
Terrific place for Italian food, delicious pizza, pasta, and even seafood! Gluten-free pasta substitutes available. Many ingredients from Italy used and the 1000° 🔥 oven for the best cooked pizza 🍕 on the island! This is a taste of Italy down in Key West! With 2 convenient locations on the island, it is a must try!! Loved the outside courtyard seating with low light made it very intimate and personable. Will be back!
Impeccable service and extraordinary food. They accommodated my wife’s gluten free needs as well. I’ve been to many of the local restaurants over the years, but this is a new favorite.
We popped in here because a review mentioned a gluten free option and was pleasantly surprised to see numerous gluten free options and all clearly labeled on the menu. Food was delicious (although portions were huge so come hungry or share) and our server was delightful. We'd come again, for sure.
I was in key west for 5 days and I think I ate here at least once a day if not more. The food is incredible and the guy who runs it is super friendly and helpful. I have celiac so it’s really hard for me to eat out especially when traveling. not only was he knowledgeable about allergen safety but he made me a completely custom gluten free sandwich that wasn’t even on the menu. If I could give that sandwich 12 starts out of 10 I would.
First night of my 50th bday celebration. Everything was incredible. Kids enjoyed their burgers and my wife and I loved the grouper and mahi mahi. Lobster ceviche was fresh and flavorful. Service and atmosphere were 100% perfect. We will be back this week. Cannot recommend more strongly. Very accommodating of my wife’s Celiac condition. Thank you Danny and Zach. Memorable experience.
This restaurant was right across from our hotel. I let them know that I have celiac disease and could not have bread with my lobster roll. They decided to weigh out my portion because they didn’t want to charge me for something I wasn’t getting. It ended up being $6 cheaper ( although I also didn’t get the plantains and coleslaw even though they were gf). We decided to take it to go so I could toast some gf bread to go with my lobster at the hotel. The amount they gave me was enough to easily make 2-3 sandwiches since gf bread is so small. We also ordered the smoked fish dip which they kept separate from the crackers and they sold gf tortilla chips at the front which I used. I really appreciated their effort to keep me safe while also adjusting their pricing which most places do not.
We went and ate at the location one time and had them deliver to our resort two other times. I eat gluten free due to Celiac and I was able to safely eat here. The two times we ordered delivery were great experiences. The food came sooner than expected both times. Also the order was 100% accurate which unfortunately surprises me since there is usually a mistake somewhere in food delivery. We ordered directly from their website instead of a meal delivery company. Their website is very user friendly and everything is customizable. I wish they had a location near where I live.
My husband and I had SUCH a wonderful experience eating at A&B Lobster House! Every person we interacted with was SO friendly. We especially enjoyed visiting with our server, Dragana. She made sure we had a special evening together. I am celiac and they kept me safe. My husband isn't and said the house bread was the best he had eaten at a restaurant. We enjoyed a salad, both had the grouper, then split a creme broule. Honestly, I wanted to lick the plates it was all so tasty. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and the view. It is a bit pricey (for us) but for a nice night out it was completely worth it!
We stopped by the Blackfin Bistro for lunch yesterday. We had the best seat in the house for people watching. I am gluten intolerant and they had plenty of options for me. We had calamari, escargot and mussels in blue cheese sauce. Gabor was great! Very knowledgeable, recommended a wonderful wine and he was so friendly. I highly recommend checking Blackfin out if you find yourself in Key West.
Awesome lunch deals. Freshest tuna I've had since i lived in Hawaii 👍🏽👍🏽
Also very crucial to me is their awareness of gluten free. They have gf soy sauce. I was very happy about that 😁
We stopped in at Alonzo's to take a break from the sun. Nicole was are bartender and made the best key lime pie martinis we've ever had. Bar/restaurant itself is classy, clean & comfortable. Happy to see gluten free options on the menu, we look forward to returning for food and cocktails. Cheers 🍸
We loved the outdoor seating and vibes here. My friend got the super meat lovers pizza I can’t remember the name of. He LOVED it, 10/10.
The servers were very patient with my dietary questions. I ended up getting the gluten free spaghetti with meatballs. It was okay, I definitely don’t recommend paying $6 for the meatballs. They weren’t even very hot, in my opinion. Also high praise for the key lime pie.

Dined at Atlas Izakaya for Christmas dinner. We could not have asked for a better experience. In our party of four, we had one person with a shellfish allergy, and one person with a peanut allergy, and one person who is gluten-free. They did a fantastic job, letting us know our options and the kitchen adjusted to make dishes with tamari instead of soy sauce to make dishes, gluten-free when possible. I would highly recommend this intimate and high-end dining experience
Very good food, not insanely great food. But our visit didn't measure up compared to similar fancy restaurants elsewhere. The wait staff was great and the restaurant knows how to do gluten free very well if that is something you need or want (the chef has chosen that as his own diet). Their wine selection is reasonable but not amazing and this was one disappointment: they don't appear to have a sommelier so my pairing suggestion given by my waiter was not the best idea.
Portion sizes are large. Most fancy restaurants do not serve you this much food. Be prepared.
Save room for their signature gluten free chocolate "cake" dessert. Unlike so many restaurants this is not an over rich sugar heavy filling lump of a cake.
We went in hoping for five stars. Sad to come out with only four, but we do not regret going. Next time we're in key west perhaps we'll try Fin instead for our fancy meal.
Last night was our second time eating at Louie’s. Both times our service and food were excellent.
We lucked out and had Will (Wilber F) as our server both times. He is a great server and makes sure you have a nice experience. He has been extremely helpful both times making sure I know what I can eat with my gluten allergy.
And yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting Selenia at the patio bar. She was also a fantastic server. She was extremely friendly and had the best personality.
HIGHLY recommend the shrimp and grits (probably the best I’ve ever had) and my husband highly recommends the Seared Sesame Crusted Tuna with Ginger-Hoisin Sauce & Fried Rice.
Great food, not many options for gluten free other than the salads, because they press the sandwiches on regular bread, even though they say they offer gluten free buns. Overall a good experience!
Probably the best place I have ever eaten. The food and drinks were impeccable. The staff was also very knowledgeable about gluten free items which included dessert. Very highly recommend!
What a find! My husband and I were looking for a fun place to eat after watching the sunset at Mallory Pier. Everything was jammed! We happened upon Two Friends and were able to get a seat at the bar where we met Minladen, our bar tender/server. Even though he was extremely busy, he was attentive and gave great service. We both ordered their signature MaiTais and were not disappointed. Then I had the grilled mahi mahi tacos and y husband had the jambalaya. Both meals were delicious! They were able to accommodate my need for a gluten free option with ease. After dinner we treated ourselves to chocolate martinis. Delicious!
While sitting at the bar, the atmosphere was friendly and fun. We had the pleasure of listening to singer/songwriter Ericson Holt. He was amazing!!
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun place to eat with great drinks, great food, and great music!
There were very little gluten-free options labeled in the menu. If the meal included toast it was not labeled (gluten-free without toast) so it was not clear what other options there were for gf items. Lots of vegan options listed, but those are not allergens 🫤. The veggie omelet was delicious. The service was very slow, and it was loud. Overall, the food was good bur pricy.
If you have never been to First Flight, make your way over there ASAP. We have always loved this place, so it was only fitting to have our rehearsal dinner there. Justin & Brittanie - we will adore you both for a lifetime. Our rehearsal dinner could have been our wedding based on what you both created. Having Celiac Disease, they accommodated everything to make sure that I could enjoy - which I feel is rare in those larger settings. Don our bartender was the greatest! Everyone here is so kind hearted, knowledgeable and made everything we wished for come true. Thank you all so much for making this day so special for us. We cannot wait to come visit you all again soon!
Absolutely incredible!!! I am severely celiac and the waiter was so accommodating and knowledgeable! They even bring out gluten free bread which was delicious! I had the yellowtail snapper which was heavenly and did not have a reaction at all. This is a must go when in the keys!!!
Hit this place before going on a snorkeling outing. Was worried about the time but they took care of our party of six without an issue. The Bloody Harry was the right choice for a late morning Spicy Bloody Mary drink. I had "The Harpooner" with everything and it did not disappoint! The rest of the fam ate good too! Two of us are gluten sensitive and they said give them a five star on their knowledge and they tell me to tell you gluten sensitive folks the home fries are to die for. Parking can be a little harry (pun intended).
