If you're a celiac visiting Maui, rest assured that this is a safe breakfast stop for you with many gluten free options! The owners are kind people who take celiac disease very seriously and are able to provide quality breakfasts that fueled several days of hiking and snorkeling for me!
Well to be honest, Cool Cat Cafe wasn't so cool for me. The waiter came to the table, we talked about the menu, ordered some drinks, then he left. Maybe 15-20 minutes later he came to get our food order. He was apologetic for the delay. Another person delivered the order, and I asked her to confirm that my burger had a gluten free bun on it. She didn't know so she went and asked our waiter. Our waiter came apologizing that the wrong bun was used. So back it went. In the end, my wife and I weren't too thrilled with our $68 meal.
This was our first time going to three's bar and grill. We waited for less than 10 minutes for a table outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For those with Celiac or gluten issues a separate is available. I ordered blackened fish which was one of the best fish I've had. We had a great dinner. You get 20% off your next meal with receipt.
Everything but the meatballs can be made gluten free and everything is delicious. Ate here several times and had no problems. They are so kind and will help you make anything GF.
We had the fish tacos. They are gluten free without modification. They were awesome. You get two on an order and that was a nice portion. We went for lunch. The restaurant was clean, roomy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked questions about cross contamination. Definitely worth a visit.
AMAZING!!! The poke here is incredible! Come early as I hear they sell out. I would come back again and again. I'd love to try their other items as well.
They were knowledgeable about what was gluten free and very helpful. Their slaw is to die for as well.
Great dietary friendly menu, amazing service, and delicious food. I had the omakase which was creative and made me feel like I was in Japan. I also had a whole fish which they were able to make gluten free for me. It was delicious. I’d be a regular here if I lived in Maui.
Amazing atmosphere and great food/drinks! We had a server named Adam who was excellent! He told us about some local spots to hit and recommended tourist spots as well. For Celiacs, they are knowledgeable and have several options on the menu! Definitely will be going back!

I'm not new to spectacular foodie experiences throughout the world, and admittedly I'm very hard to please when it comes to cuisine because of so. Spago’s Maui impressed me!
Starting with the accommodating friendly service, impressive presentation of the delicious food, and that unbeatable view - from the appetizers to the dessert... all nailed it. When you're in Maui, Spago's in the Four Season’s is a must. Whether you choose to bar dine or take a table overlooking the ocean you can't go wrong with either.
My suggestions 👇🏻
🍣 Tuna Poke Cones
🐠 Japanese Hamachi
🍛 Pineapple Coconut Curry (show stopping perfectly balanced perfection)
🐓 Pan Roasted Chicken (trust me on this one, never would I reco ordering 🐔 at a seafood restaurant, this will be the BEST you’ve ever had, zoom in on that skin)
🐟 Smoked Marlin, heart of palm on a garbanzo purée, a work of art from Spago's corp visiting chef
🍞 Maui Onion Focaccia with Hawaiian salted 🧈 is worth the carbs and gluten!
🎂 Chocolate Macaroon
🧁 German Chocolate Soufflé was everything you'd expect and more
The meal was so good I chose to revisit for a bar dine before catching my late flight. Yes, I'm been to Mama's, I’ve tried many food trucks, hole-in-the-wall, QSR, and Michelin stars in Paris and beyond, this place is not to be missed. Mahalo chef(s)
I stopped in at Fork & Salad in Kihei looking for a quick, fresh, gluten-free option—and walked out more than impressed. The gluten-free chicken Caesar wrap was absolutely spot-on. The chicken was juicy and perfectly grilled, the greens were fresh and crisp, and the Caesar dressing had just the right amount of tang. What really stood out was the gluten-free wrap itself—soft, flavorful, and it held together beautifully without falling apart like so many GF wraps tend to do.
But the real hidden gem? The gluten-free cookies. I wasn’t expecting much, but these cookies were dangerously good. Soft, chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness—they’re the kind of treat that makes you double check they’re actually gluten-free. Fork & Salad nails the balance between healthy and indulgent. Definitely a must-stop for anyone eating gluten-free on the island.
Everything on the menu, except desserts, is gluten free. Excellent mahi mahi and beef loco moco. Peaceful atmosphere. Edit: came back on our last day and got the tofu bento (also great) and poke (underwhelming compared to everything else, very bland)
Gluten Free Seekers- the phoenix roll and coconut pancake are life changing amazing! I haven’t had good pancakes in 6 years! Thank you for the amazing service with quality ingredients
Paia fish market never disappoints. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I’m gluten intolerant and haven’t had any issues there. I recommend the blackened snapper with home fries. Make sure to get extra tartar sauce (self serve). We usually go between 2 and 4pm to avoid lines since it can get busy.
Absolutely obsessed with their burgers. Always good and really appreciate them having gluten free buns for me and beyond burger for my veggie friends. Just simple, straight up solid good food! Met the owner once too, he was super nice and gifted my some sweet potatoes fries and totally made my day. Highly recommend!
having celiac disease w the only place by me having GF wraps and i was told by the owner that they would be open their business hours and i went and indeed saw that they were not… Definitely don’t want to be giving my support or money to someone who can’t keep their word. probably would have gotten me hospitalized too!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! i’ve been waiting for days and days now and the owner herself told me that i can go wherever to get food from any other truck knowing that i have celiac disease with limited food options… not the spot for the locals💁🏽♀️
The servers here are so nice and helpful! They were knowledgeable about what was gluten free and I'd love to come back here to try the shrimp.
Everything is delicious. The pricing system is a little odd about what is included and what is extra. You can choose as many toppings from one section and only one topping from another section. Some of the really cheap items were in the "choose one" section which doesn't really make sense. I'd love to have more included and also the option to not have everything mixed up and sauced.
The atmosphere was amazing. Loved the live music on Wednesday. They had a super talented singer to listen to while enjoying a delicious meal and beverages. Their drinks are yummy and their staff friendly and attentive. More gluten friendly or vegetarian options would be my only constructive criticism. Otherwise, it's a great place, with great food, people, area, and a walk near the beach and close to various shops.
Our food was amazing! We ordered the potato crusted mahi, panko ono and half and half Hawaiian poke and spicy poke and all of it was absolutely delicious! The chef personally spoke with us as one in our party had to eat gluten free and vegan and he was so accommodating to help her choose a meal! Highly recommend this place to everyone, and I'll definitely be going back before my vacation ends!!
So glad we followed our nose and ended up eating at this wonderful Guy Fieri approved restaurant. The ribs, brisket and pork belly were amazing. The potato salad is gluten free, my hubby loved his mac and cheese. The portions are HUGE!
Excellent spot for a tasty bite at reasonable prices. They have a variety of gluten free and vegetarian selections. The wet (smothered burrito) was huge and really delicious, kids wished they ordered same burrito instead of the kids bean and cheese selection 😅
Breakfast for lunch! Eggs Benny sans bread*…soooo good! Easy adjacent parking lot, order your food and find a table…they bring your food to your table. Easy peasy! *if you’re gluten free, the fries/chips are coated in flour from their vendor so just sayin’. That was disappointing but not a big deal!
VERY hospitable, a unique experience on Maui.
Already very gluten free and dairy free, plus they made extra accommodations and were very mindful and kind about my food restrictions.
Best food I’ve had in Maui - I wish I found them sooner and not on the last day of our trip! Vegan and gluten free options available.

Incredible food and impeccable service. Loved the art deco decor!
We ordered the tuna rice bowl, which comes with caviar, shaved truffle, and nori on the side so you can make your own crispy hand rolls. We also got the sashimi platter with fresh wasabi, the creative nigiris, and the scallop starter. Highly recommend coming here!
I am gluten free(celiac’s disease) and was amazed at the plethora of options available.
