I learned that Lapointe's had a gluten-free fish and chips option, so decided to give it a try. It was so delicious, generous portions, and service was super quick. The server was pleasant and courteous, and took the time to explain the other GF options. It was definitely worth the trip from the east end to Bells Corners. Highly highly recommended.

About thirty of us ranging in age from two to 97 years recently met at Bambu to celebrate a friend’s 80th birthday. A twelve course tasting menu was designed for us some weeks in advance by the owner Jeremy, taking into consideration vegetarians, individuals with gluten sensitivity, meat and seafood lovers. On the day of the party, we discovered that a friend was now vegan, another wanted no onions in her meals and a young guest was allergic to peanuts. Staff at Bambu handled this promptly and without any fuss or complaint. A special mention to our main server Jennifer. The menu consisted of 3 appetizers, 3 sushi rolls and 6 mains including fried rice, Pad Thai, chicken and seafood curries. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. Dessert and coffee ended a very satisfying meal. Thank you Jeremy and Jennifer for a superb evening at Bambu.

Absolutely love eating here, the vibe is amazing and the staff are top tier! The food and atmosphere are so unique and as a Gluten Free Vegan who doesn't drink, trust me when I say this is a haven. I have been a few times so I have tried most of the food. Alot of the menu is already edible for me as is, but the majority of the menu can be accommodated to a vegan and/or gluten free diet which is amazing. The mocktails are equally fantastic. Watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen is the best, and the Management team and Madison in Events are always the most generous and accommodating. If you are so lucky to have service from Joseph, you will leave a very happy and full man! Can't wait to be back in the summer for Jungle Brunch!

Amazing food! Always freshly made. My daughter is celiac and when I let them know through a note left with my online order they called me back almost immediately to assure me that they take allergies very seriously. They took all precautions to prevent cross contamination and also had gluten free soy sauce. Atmosphere rating doesn’t really count as its take out only.

This review isn’t based on the actual restaurant, food or service. I called the day of for a reservation, the lady on the phone was polite but they had reduced the amount of tables as they were short staffed, and the time we wanted already had a reservation but they have tables open for walk ins. Okay that’s fine, my group of 4 walked over around 8pm (open till 9) and when we got there the lady asked us if we would like a table or take out, and then when we said table the tone changed and we were no longer able to have one as they are short staffed but not taking walk ins. I asked why earlier I was told to try for a walk in, and she simply just repeated herself and stared at me. There was absolutely 0 people in the establishment, and I could see 4 front of house employees and 3 in the kitchen .. Ultimately I get the food industry being short staffed but it felt like a blatant lie. Was looking forward to eating here as I absolutely love sushi and this place had great reviews, especially for gluten free alternatives.

Great experience! The restaurant has a gluten-free menu and they made sure to clean the wok before preparing our food. They were also very attentive to allergen alerts and even noted them on our receipt. The server was knowledgeable about allergens and provided excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything here is 11/10. Definitely get the salmon sushi and then watch yourself want a second one. Fries are a must. The PB espresso martini is painfully good. And they are exceptional at managing celiac/gluten intolerance. Great every time - thank you guys!

Solid all-you-can-eat sushi dining experience. Has options for vegetarians, as well as gluten-free options (just make sure to ask for gluten-free soy tamari). Food is usually fresh and delicious. Variety is okay.

For the price point, this place cannot be tested by the competition. The dedication and craftsmanship they display when making your sushi (and other items) is magnificent. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and they cater to those who are celiac without sacrificing the taste. The atmosphere of this location is nice, nothing crazy, but nice, not overwhelming on the senses. Just wish they had more seating options. Overall, a great place to get some food before, or a Vaughan Mills trip. Just a heads up, it does get busy in the area when the mall is about to close. Overall, keep up the good work.

Their food is great, however I have a gluten allergy, and they have been pretty awful with accommodating that. I’ve given it a few chances because I really like their menu but they fail on the gluten free accommodations almost every time. And some of the staff have been rude about it. Great food, great place, bad about allergies. I’m sad to say I won’t be going back or ordering from them again.

Decent food but not my favourite sushi in London. I feel like there was less variety than other places, but most of what they did serve was really good. I enjoyed the yam roll especially! However, the lamb skewer was disappointing. Service was great and they asked if our group had any dietary restrictions, and even brought out a special menu full of their gluten free options. If you are a larger group there is a 15% gratuity added to your bill which I did not mind. However, the one thing I did wish this restaurant would do differently is waiting until a majority of the group is present before starting your meal timer, as you have a strict 90 minute timer for your meal. I ended up being about 10 minutes earlier than the rest of my group and while we were able to order everything we wanted in the 90 minutes, it was a shock.

This is the second New Year’s Eve we have ordered from Sushi and Tree. They are so pleasant and helpful whenever we go. I am sensitive to gluten and they are very careful to go over the order with us and ensure it is all right for me. The sushi is exceptional, the serving sizes generous. Delicious, as always. The food is delicious and they are very accommodating and safe with food intolerances/allergies/dietary restrictions. I am gluten intolerant and vegan and they always ensure I am well taken care of. On occasion they have even made me rolls off menu, with beautiful presentation. It is a rarity to be so well accommodated with so many dietary restrictions.

ALLERGIES BEWARE Food has always been good but today is the second time they have made an allergy mistake. I asked them the first time to separate any items with gluten due to an allergy, and there was teriyaki rolls in with my order, which has wheat. Tonight I said I had a wheat allergy again and they use immitation crab. When I called to ask what brand they said they didn't know. Most immitation crab has wheat in it. My allergy is bad but not life threatening. I would not recommend getting food from here if you have any allergies as they don't take it seriously. Otherwise food is great.

I must say the sushi here is the best in KW. But they really need to work on their service. One of the servers is really trying to make people order more dishes(without clear mentioning if it is complimentary let alone the price), mixing up the separate bills several times, and not explaining enough about the dishes. My friend with celiac ordered gluten free teriyaki(which they said they could), but she had a bowel reaction an hour after she had the dish, which was not pleasant for her at all. My friends and I were regular to this place, but we haven’t gone back since then. What a shame.

Kona is so good I had ordered online and when my order arrived one of the rolls had tempura on it, but I didn’t think it said it had tempura when I read the description online. When I called Kona, the guy who answered was so nice and understanding and told me he would make the roll without tempura and drive it over to me himself. I am so grateful as I have a gluten allergy and can’t have tempura So this really made my night. Kona was also the first thing I ordered in the hospital after I had my baby - it’s that good.
