Had gluten free eggs bene; the hash brown was the most delicious I have ever eaten. Crisp on the outside & fluffy inside. Very generous size portions too. The coffee wasn't hot enough for our liking but otherwise fantastic breakfast. Busy cafe; obviously popular.
They were very accommodating/knowledgeable to gluten friendly choices and were able to clearly communicate which dishes they could make for me. I had the vegetable rice noodles and they were delicious. It is a shared kitchen.
Called in to here on our way home. Being coeliac, i wondered if i would be able to eat anything. The lovely young woman that served us knew what coeliac entailed and offered to make white bait fritters. They had gluten free batter mix but i asked her to just make them with egg. The traditional way. I ordered two. And they were utterly delicious!!!!! Hubby made short work of his choices. So tasty. 😋
Love the effort put in by the staff to help every customer so they had delicious meal. Highly recommend. (I did think about crayfish but couldn’t be responsible for killing the live one in the tank. He got to live another day)
It was the recommended for us to go for fish and chips.I asked for gluten free batter and was asked if I was ceolic ,excellent . I'm not.Fish : we just got the usual cheaper one ,chips chunky. Not greasy. Recommend this shop.
We ordered all three of the gluten free meals that are on the menu and shared them between two. It was too much food honestly but it was all so delicious that we ate it all at the expense of ordering dessert. We were there for our wedding anniversary and it was just right. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. The staff member greeted us like friends he hadn’t met yet and was very attentive and kind. The music was in the background and had a lovely kiwi feel. The place was clean and the tables are spaced apart so you can chat comfortably. If you are looking for somewhere to eat this is the place. Value for money, great service, delicious food and comfy atmosphere. 10 out of 10 would visit again!
Went for lunch. When we arrived only one table occupied, but three that needed clearing. Staff chatting in the corner basically ignored us. No indication of whether it was table service or order at counter. Ordered gluten free meal. It seemed okay, but later I had all the symptoms of having been glutened. Probably cross contamination due to poor food handling practices. We won’t be back.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, good food. Having coeliac (gluten-free) made it a bit difficult to eat out in town, but the lady that served us here was very up to play with my needs and gave me confidence to eat here.
