Solo female traveller. Needed lunch before a conference. Really friendly and helpful. Great food and convenient. Waiter explained menu well (gluten free)
Yummy food, lots of variety. Wasn't to expensive compared to other areas in Istanbul. I am celiac and it was nice to have options for my partner who isn't celiac. Had yummy and beautiful looking desserts. Was too full to eat but took some away with us ❤️
If your near by you have to try....

I especially chose it because all their products are sugar-free. There are also gluten-free options. The products are sweetened with apple juice concentrate, they are very delicious and don't overpower the taste. They have very kind and smiling employees.
The whole menu is great! There are incredibly delicious vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free food and beverages. The employees are also very attentive and polite. I just can't imagine what would have happened if the place was a little bigger🤍🧿
We had a very long wait for service, from waiting for a table (this was fine since it was brunch on a weekend), to waiting for our order to be taken, to having the food served. They seemed to only have one person waiting a full inside area, terrace and street seating so an extra person would make all the difference!
Food was okay, not great value but was good too have vegan and gluten free options.
So much flavour!! Omg the flavours the chef got into this food was amazing. Very skilled use of spices and herbs. I am very critical and will not say food is amazing just because it’s vegan. There’s a lot of tasteless vegan food out there. This is NOT that! We had the non-gluten free börek, the Traditional Smoked Eggplant and the Special Turkish Ravioli. The chef is clearly someone who loves good food and flavours and understands how to create that. Please go here. Take your non vegan friends because this is how vegan food should be! Oh, one word of warning; this food is filling! Allow time to eat slowly and really enjoy those flavours! Aargh I want to go back and have breakfast there!
Kolcuoğlu Bomonti Ocakbaşı, a well-known name for Kolcuoğlu Kebap Restaurant, stands out from all other kebab restaurants in one important respect. It has created a great difference with its menu for celiacs. You have celiac disease and want to eat gluten-free lahmacun! This is just one example. It has a completely separate oven for the gluten-free menu. This is a very, very important awareness. The fact that smiling and positive employees are fully aware of the issue is also a great luxury. If you say the environment, it is also very warm. Thank you very much.
Nice restaurant, typical dishes divided between Ottoman and Anatolian cuisine. Very nice garden, friendly and prepared waiters. Also attentive to allergies and intolerances, possibility of eating gluten free. Prices slightly above average. Kadir was very kind.
We chose it for a birthday dinner. The venue and the view are very beautiful. It was very enjoyable to watch Istanbul shining with the dusk. The service quality and presentations are very successful. The waiters are incredibly attentive. It is also very important for me to have gluten-free options. They can provide this as well. The only disadvantage is that they do not offer valet service due to its location.
Every single one of the appetizers was delicious. As someone with celiac disease, it was great to find a place where we could eat comfortably, that was tasty and reasonably priced. I will be coming back more often now.

** A Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Misleading Gluten-Free Options**
We specifically chose this restaurant because they advertise gluten-free options, which is essential for my wife due to her gluten allergy. However, what followed was nothing short of a frustrating experience.
We ordered a gluten-free pide, but what arrived at our table was a lahmacun. When we questioned the waiter, he casually responded that "since it's gluten-free, it looks like that." This explanation was completely unacceptable—gluten-free or not, a pide and a lahmacun are distinct dishes.
After a brief discussion, the waiter changed his stance, insisting that while the dish looked like a lahmacun, its ingredients were those of a pide. Again, a ridiculous claim. Eventually, he admitted that the restaurant does not have a separate oven for gluten-free dishes, meaning they cannot actually prepare gluten-free pide. Yet, they still charge for it as if it were a genuine gluten-free option! If a proper gluten-free dish cannot be prepared, this should be made clear **before** taking orders, instead of misleading customers.
To make matters worse, we also ordered a regular lahmacun, and its base was completely burnt—another disappointment in an already frustrating visit.
Overall, this experience was unacceptable due to both poor service and the lack of honesty regarding gluten-free offerings. If you value transparency and quality, I cannot recommend this place.
The person in this shop was very rude and barely let me finish my order! I was excited to find a gluten free pastry and I was planning to buy multiple items but this person decided that after 3 types he packs everything and asks me to pay!

I called them on Wednesday to order profiteroles, they said they were very busy on Thursday, so we agreed on Friday. But when Friday came, they neither responded to the phone nor to the messages. When I wrote again the next day, saying that what you did was very shameful, I got a reply saying "don't comment without knowing, etc., we had hospital work etc." .So, if a business that takes an order cannot deliver the order, it should call and state this itself so that the customer can be informed. It is a bit funny that they do not return the phone calls and are expected to wonder if something has happened to them. They constantly cancel your order from Trendyol or any other food platform. To no avail. No one should expect anything by saying this.. (I think they should be kicked out of such platforms, do not hesitate to complain about this)
As a celiac patient, unfortunately, we are forced to depend on even the smallest business. But since it opened, this place has not taken itself one step further, on the contrary, it has become much more mediocre. I think I would not choose this place even if I were to go to the other end of Istanbul. Literally, their style and management. disgrace
Good brunch and gluten-free food. They have gluten-free bread for toast. Vegetarian options and plant-based milk are also available, ideal for vegans. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and cleanliness are excellent.
A very unique pub! Good gluten-free options, I just wish they stocked the Gluten-free Efes beer which is available in many other Istanbul pubs! Really friendly staff who were happy to explain the gluten-free food options to me.
Absolutely absurd cost for gluten free. Went based on the reviews advertising GF bread and was charged 390 lira EXTRA for my breakfast to replace my bread. Never seen prices like that before anywhere in the world. When I questioned it (as I assumed there was a mistake) the waiter insisted that is the cost
Ravioli is raw, meatballs are delicious, hamburger meatballs are raw. Gluten-free meatballs come with regular pita, unless you specify. The answer is, are you completely gluten-free? You go and the sink doesn't work, you can go another time and they say it's closed. We went because of lack of options. We decided not to go there again because there was no tradesmanship.
One of the delicious places to visit in Kadıköy. They even make the pita they put in the Iskender sandwich gluten-free, nice idea. If you ever pass by, I recommend you to stop by.

We wanted to try the authentic Ottoman foods and Matbah delivered! Some dishes are unusual - stuffed calamari and stuffed melon. My celiac husband received gluten-free bread and the menu was clearly labeled. Service was very good and we received a gift of a bead pendant at the end of our meal. We had visited Istanbul before and were very surprised that the restaurant was nearly empty by 10pm. The other diners were locals, Spaniards, and Americans.
All food is fresh and prepared at the moment. Everything on the menu is vegan and celiac people like me have glutenfree options (not the buns or pida though!).
I had a lovely chat with the owner, who is really passionate about her job.
I’ll come back for sure next time I’ll be in Istanbul!
I really ate the most delicious bagel I have ever eaten, made with chickpea flour. It was a crispy Tap fresh bagel. There are smiling and attentive employees. It is a cafe under the stairs, so it does not attract much attention when passing by on the road, but it is definitely worth a visit for a gluten-free and healthy food experience.
Very intimate and clean place, we came after reading the nice reviews for the gluten free menu (it really was). Joseph served us with great kindness and precision, very good typical food. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The service was exceptional, staff super friendly and chatty. They accommodated my gluten free needs and brought out complimentary desert and multiple cups of different flavoured teas. It was an experience more than just a meal. Highly recommend.
Terrace restaurant with spectacular views of the blue mosque. The food was very good and there were some gluten free options. The staff was very friendly and there was live traditional music, which I really enjoyed.
Good atmosphere, service and food was great. Options for gluten free, vegan, etc which I appreciate as a celiac and food was labelled with allergens. 10/10 experience
Great options for all diets. Vegan and gluten free options - the homemade gf bread is fantastic! Breakfast spread was very good. Nice Turkish coffee too. The staff were lovely too.
A business that has gluten-free pizza options but does not pay attention to cross-contamination. They bake gluten-free and gluten-free pizzas in the same oven. Therefore, it is not suitable for people with celiac disease. I didn't like the thin dough and nice taste of their pizzas.

I bought a sourdough bagel and a gluten-free cherry brownie. The bagel was a little dry and didn't taste very good to me, but I really liked the brownie.
A nice experience for those who want to try a different cuisine. The atmosphere is beyond my expectations, it is a spacious place. It's a great cuisine, especially for those who like sour tastes, but everyone who doesn't hate sour should definitely try it. The only thing I see missing is that the waiters can give more detailed information about the menu to first-time customers.
What did I eat?
Mirza Ghasemi (Starter): Spicy and sour roasted eggplant paste. 5/5
Ghorme Sabzi (Starter): A meaty, sour and juicy dish. Sour taste predominates. The content is main course, portion size is appetizer, nice to taste. 4/5
Lamb Neck (Main course): The fact that it came to the table quickly made me wonder about the taste, but it tasted great, it was cooked for a long time and was soft. 5/5
Persian Pilaf with Orange and Saffron (side dish): Saffron goes very well with rice anyway, and you add orange to it in a jam-like form, it turns out great. 5/5
Dessert: It was a dessert with pistachios among coconut syrup. It was light and tasted great, plus it's gluten-free. 5/5

I invite all Italians to stop by this restaurant to try both the typical dishes and the decidedly positive situation.
I am celiac and I had a great time eating in this place, attentive to the customer's requests when ordering and precise in the delivery of the dishes, repeating several times that the dish was gluten free.
I felt very comfortable, I ate peacefully with my family and it was truly exciting.
I tried meat dishes, fish and side dishes: special!
try it and believe it.
pampered and accompanied by the nicest and most friendly waiter I have ever met!

Life saver for those with thyroid problems, celiac disease.. they have amazing flavors. But for those who are not sick, each product is so delicious.. Almond cookies are my favorite, date balls filled with peanut butter, corn flour cake... I couldn't try the sandwiches because they were huge :) I hope we see the day you open a store in Izmir too. Ära cafe.
