This place is so great, they have gluten free AND vegan donuts (vegan ones I haven’t tried but GF ones are really good) which is really cool and there is a strictly gluten free restaurant a few doors down so if you have that allergy these are great places to check out! I am not sure how the preparation is at the Goods for cross contamination but when I’ve seen them baking them they keep them separate from the other donuts. Some of my favorite donuts ever I have gotten here… a strawberry shortcake one and churro ones, omg so good! Wish I had pictures of those fancy ones but I got the vanilla sprinkles one and it was amazing, the dough is a little dense compared to a normal donut… which is to be expected for gluten free but still delicious! They also have coffee drinks which are great too! Chai tea latte is my favorite

I’m tried all pizza places in Oceanside and Carlsbad and the pizza here is my favorite. The flavor is so good, it’s the best. We also ordered a gluten free/vegan crust and it’s the best I’ve ever had.

The chilequilles had outstanding flavor and freshly made tortilla chips. My wife likes chilequilles, and I don't usually prefer them because I don't like soggy chips... However, these chips seemed fresh and crispy despite being in the green sauce. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes (opted for gluten free) were really good especially for being gluten free! There are so many menu options that sounds so good that we definitely have to come back to try them all. The service is great and fast. We dined on the patio with our fur baby where they provided blankets and heaters so we were very comfortable out there.

This restaurant has a great variety of options for everyone, but we stopped by specifically for their vegan offerings and we weren’t disappointed! The avocado sandwich was fresh and tasty, but the standout was the vegan empanada with their chimichurri green sauce. So flavorful and satisfying even our picky-eater kids asked for more. They also have gluten-free options, which is a big plus. We’ll definitely be back!

Just had an amazing GF Margarita Pizza here. Not only was it amazing the crust is homemade and has the texture a real crust! I also have. A garlic allergy with is really hard to make work at most pizza allots but here they were easily able to accommodate. The staff was so kind and diligently to be certain they checked on everything. If you are visiting carlsbad beach/village, this place deserves a visit. Their freshly made crust cooked to perfection per your requirements alone demands a visit. We ordered a thin crust crispy veg pizza and slices of pepperoni pizza. Really delicious garlic knots and a calzone is a must when you visit this place. You can customise the calzones. We ordered mozzarella and ricotta calzone. It was devoured in a blink of an eye. Also, great gluten free options and lots of beers to pick from. The only thing you have to make sure is that try not to visit this place over the weekends as it gets really crowded and has very limited seating options. There is no upfront parking. Wouldn’t call this place wheelchair friendly either. You might need to park a couple of blocks away or find a paid parking.

The service is excellent. Super welcoming and friendly. The desserts are delicious. The tiramisu was my favorite, followed by the berry cheesecake. And the ingredients are super clean, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, no seed oils...and so good!

We loved coming here and eating here until today. Was told the gluten free bun had no egg, after the cashier went to the back and checked. Took it home, ate half of it, got a stomach ache, and then called to find out that the buns actually had egg whites. The response I got was that they had just switched over to using new buns, and the old ones didn’t have egg in it. All I was told after that was “my apologies” and the phone hung up. Allergies are clearly not taken seriously.

Gregorio's is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the cozy Italian villa ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable evening. We visited on a Saturday night without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately! The handmade pizzas were a hit at our table — absolutely delicious — and the gluten-free pasta was hands down one of the best I've ever had. My husband loved the gnocchi. Everyone was raving about their meals! Our server was an absolute queen — charismatic, attentive, and made our night so much fun. She truly elevated the whole experience. The wine selection was fantastic as well, perfectly complementing the flavorful dishes. If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine with great vibes and exceptional service, Gregorio's is the place to go! Can't wait to return.

We went to Sushi Taisho for dinner last night, and it was such a great experience! We shared a nice bottle of sake, ordered multiple rolls, and even got individual hand rolls—which were generously portioned and delicious. One of our friends needed gluten-free options, and they had plenty available, which was great. The service was excellent—super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is really cute and cozy, with a warm atmosphere. It’s located upstairs in Carlsbad, so there’s a nice little view of the area, and you can even see the train coming in. Plus, you can hear live music from downstairs, which adds to the fun vibe. The seafood was super fresh, the space was clean, and everything we tried was fantastic. We went as a group of four, got seated without a problem, and had a great time splitting different rolls and trying new things. Definitely a highly recommended spot!

I was told the food and shakes are terrific! Meh. Service was great, but I wasn't impressed by the burgers, and the fries are not recommended. Pricey for the quality. They offer a gluten-free (GF) bun, which is one reason for our visit, but it's a big, dry bun that I can't recommend. We live nearby, but probably won't frequent this place.

Every time I go to Urban Plates I leave extremely satisfied with the food and the service! Delicious healthy food and I soooo appreciate that they label their menu items (gluten free, vegan , etc. for us people who cannot eat certain things). The beet salad with salmon is my favorite!

This place is amazing! My wife and I have now been here twice. The tacos are some of the best you can get—which says a lot for Southern California. The salsas and hot sauces are all made from scratch in house, the service is amazing, and it’s an upscale yet relaxed environment inside. Can’t recommend enough. Bonus points for GF folks—they have a dedicated fryer and most menu items are gluten-free.

This is the best Italian bakery outside of Italy. Even my Sicilian boyfriend and his mother approve. Senza glutino (gluten free)? No problem. Monica makes the best gluten free treats as well. All ingredients, even the butter, are imported from Italy and you can taste the difference. Do yourself a favor and stop by to get some pastries, pasta, a sandwich on a fresh baguette or gelato.

This place used to be good. Unfortunately a friend of mine came in 6 months ago with me and this restaurant messed up on my gluten free pizza 3x in a row and at the time i was sick with pneumonia and couldn’t talk. My friend was defending me of the food not being made right and unfortunately the restaurant will not serve my friend or i anymore. Somewhere in the conversation it came out that my last name is Russian Jewish , what a shame this location is antisemitic , my fear is for my kids sports teams that frequent the location. …. 264 Fresco is an absolute gem! We had the pleasure of sitting upstairs on the deck, and the views of the ocean were simply breathtaking. The ambiance was perfect—elegant, bright, and inviting, with a mix of stylish and homey accents that made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable in gluten free options, making our experience even more special. The food was outstanding! As an Italian restaurant, Fresco 264 truly knows how to deliver. The wood-fired dishes were bursting with flavor! We also had a fantastic selection of appetizers, try the beef carpaccio and the meatballs! The drinks were on point, with a great variety of options to choose from. Whether you're looking for a cozy night out or a special occasion, Fresco 264 is the place to go. A note for families, the deck is always 21+ highly recommend!

Went for dinner and this place was hoppin'. The wait without a reservation is very long, so try to get one. Otherwise, plan to maneuver your way into the open bar seating, which is what we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant concept is fun and well carried throughout. The food and drinks were awesome and there are plenty of gluten free options. The staff was very helpful to guide us through the menu to avoid any gluten issues.

We are staying at a local hotel evacuated from the airport fire. We hadn't eaten much in 48 hours and needed something good. Also having diet restrictions ( my husband and I are Gluten free) we are cautious about where we eat. This place was clean, inviting, and had gluten free options. We got the meat lovers pizza and the meatsauce gluten free pasta. I'm a baker/cook for 30 plus yrs and this place did not disappoint! Thank you for a delicious meal and friendly service 💜 you guys rocked it!

very cool hang out for tacos and more. We went there for a late lunch, but the bar and patio seating screams the kind of place you want hang out for a bit. We each had a taco and split a salad. sooo good. certain I'll stop by again before leaving town. Bonus - VERY fresh handmade corn tortillas, and they even took precautions to reduce likelihood of cross contamination for my gluten free meal. super friendly and casual. try it, you won't be sorry.

I had no idea this restaurant existed in Carlsbad and it was really great. It has a small Historical Museum focused on Boston that was fun to walk through. The best for me was they had gluten-free items on their menu, I had Shepherd's Pie which is normally off limits for me because of the gravy but theirs is gluten free and delicious.

This is one of my favorite restaurants (this location AND the Hillcrest one, too!) The employees are great and the food is better than most similar places closer to my home. There are things on the menu that I haven't found anywhere else in the county. Even the non-spicy items have rich and complex flavors that keep me coming back... and bringing visitors to my home with me! Solid recommendation. They have a good vegetarian and Gluten-free selection. You have to be a little more careful to be dairy-free, but everyone here is very familiar with the menu and will answer any questions you have before you order.

"Wow, just wow. We went to Vigilucci's while we were visiting family, and it was an amazing dining experience. From the moment we walked, the ambience was elevated. The food? Forget about it. I had the risotto, which is gluten free, and it was clear it was homemade – like, seriously delicious. My son went for a steak, and it came out very undercooked so we unfortunately had to send it back. My husband had the sea scallops and raved about it all night. The view? Wow again. We timed it perfectly for sunset, and watching the sun dip into the ocean while we ate was just magical. It wasn't stuffy or anything, even though it's clearly a fancy place. It just felt…comfortable and celebratory. You can tell they really care about the little things, like how the table was set and how attentive our server was. I also heard they're adding a new patio next year with even better ocean views, as if it could get any better. If you're looking for a place to make a special memory, or just want an amazing meal with a killer view, you HAVE to try Vigilucci's!

I recently planned a bachelorette trip and made a reservation for a sunset dinner at Chandler’s Oceanfront Dining. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations, especially given the price point. From the start, communication was a struggle. It took weeks to receive responses from their team, which should have been my first red flag. Despite emailing multiple times about dietary restrictions, our waitress had no record of it. We had gluten-free guests, including the bride, and when she requested a side of fries (as there were no gluten-free starters available), they arrived breaded—with gluten-containing ingredients. A server at a restaurant of this caliber should be aware of allergens and dietary concerns, or at the very least, be willing to check and inform the guest. Beyond that, our waitress seemed irritated by simple requests, which made the experience feel unwelcoming. For the amount of money spent, I expected a higher level of professionalism and attention to detail. While the oceanfront view is beautiful, the poor service and lack of care for dietary needs left us disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

We came for Christmas Eve dinner which was a prefix menu. There were several choices per course with gluten free and vegetarian options. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. It's a hotel restaurant that is off the lobby so the ambiance doesn't quite match the quality of everything else but it didn't detract from our experience.

This is the place to come if you want healthy and fresh food or juice. It's easy to get too. There is a ton of parking. It's in a industrial park where you would not expect it to be, but there are lots of great places around here, so don't miss this one. Everything on their menu uses Gluten Free, Organic, Dairy Free & 100% Plant Based Ingredients. There is handy cap accessible parking, street parking, and a free parking lot. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
