We didn’t know this was a gluten free bakery. No signage stating their baked goods were gluten free. Bought 2 chocolate cupcakes that were brutal. Chocolate frosting was the worst. Cupcake was like eating a week old bran muffin. Very little selection. No baked goods to speak of. Might be the worst bakery we’ve ever been to. Who’s baking this stuff anyway! This place won’t last.
Honestly, I was hesitant at first. Being told it was vegan and gluten free i was fully expecting to have to go get an after-dinner burger somewhere else.
I was very pleasantly proven wrong in my assumption.
The Korean Bison Ribs were amazing, best I've had, and massive serving.
The salmon looked amazing and I'll get that next time.
Highly recommend.
The service was great.
Burgers and sides were delicious.
Not really much atmosphere, but that's not why I was there.
So far, every burger variation was worth another try, but gotta get through all of them first!
They have a separate fryer and GF buns for the celiac.
Great experience from service to quality food. Almost all of the menu is gluten free, which is a bonus for our family. Food and drinks came out quickly. Excellent flavor. Would prefer an option of a sweeter, mild bbq sauce, but that’s just our Midwest bbq preference. Overall loved it and will be back!
Since moving to Steamboat, I have picked Mazzola’s for any of my special celebration and birthday dinners. The food never disappoints! Don’t pass up the budino for dessert. Thank you for having gluten free options also!
The food was delicious, the service was great, and Winona’s has a great breakfast cafe atmosphere. Winona’s also has reasonable prices. They don’t charge extra for gluten free toast, which is a pleasant surprise. This is the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that doesn’t charge extra for gluten free bread products. Way to go Winona’s!
Oh man these folks know how to prepare chicken. Both the kabob and schwarma are out of this world. And they have gluten-free pitas, so everyone can join in on the full gyro experience.
Ordered a gluten free pizza and it was one of the best gf pizzas I have had. The crust was crispy and they added lots of toppings. Was on the pricey side, but price was expected for a restaurant in a ski resort as well as ordering a gf pizza! Will definitely come back here next time I am visiting.
I will always be a big fan of Cruisers. Since my Celiac diagnosis they are always sensitive to my dietary restrictions. I love the chicken salad but mostly their Raw Salad with the added chicken salad.
Haven't been there since they opened. It wasn't hitting on all cylinders back then. Now...wow!
Food is fantastic: A great range of flavors packed in the many creamy, tomato-y, savory sauces. Crispy patatas, succulent short rib, zesty ceviche, chewy grilled octopus.... And that's just the apps.
Drinks are tasty and well made. The passion fruit caipriña is lovely.
We sat in the very back, which is quite dark and noisy, but we had a comfy booth . I'd prefer to sit up front.
Definitely worth it in Steamboat. My celiac-suffering wife had plenty to choose from and she had no negative reactions.
Fun dive bar type spot, fun for kids. Good kids menu, solid gluten free bun option (didn’t fall apart immediately but still didn’t risk putting it down!) The burgers are good, juicy, and hit the spot after a day skiing.
GF labeling and options are sketchy. Okay if you're "gluten intolerant," but unacceptable if you're celiac. Labeling of GF and GFO were vague. No separate fryer, so couldn't have the fries.
Steak tartare is overly seasoned with soy sauce.
GF breadcrumbs are gritty in the clam dish, which was also very heavily marinated. Didn't finish.
The GF bread with lamb skewers was good, as was that dish.
Desserts were very good.
Probably a great place for people who can order selectively from the whole menu, but a fail for celiac sufferers. For those of us who aren't, it's apparently hit or miss.
We booked for Thanksgiving late lunch and had the gluten free options of the Truffle & Herb Frites, the Pig & Apple, and the Chicken chasseur.
Exceptional quality of food, extensive cocktail and wine options, and all staff were cheery, even though they were working on Thanksgiving.
Thank you to our waiter Brian, who made our afternoon even more delightful.
Not terrible, but not worth $40pp. It took almost 20min for our server to acknowledge our table, then another 15 min from taking our drink order to bring the drinks to our table. It was a Wednesday evening, not crowded nor did they seem understaffed. Chicken piccata-sauce was flavorful, but it took a steak knife to saw through it. Another chicken dish was equally tough. Above average number of gluten free selection for those who need that, but why is there an upcharge for boxed gf pasta when the non gf is house made? Overall a not worth the time or money experience.

We had a raspberry and cream cake and gluten free cupcakes for my uncle’s birthday. The cake was by far the best cake we have had in a long time! It reminded me of our wedding cake. Light fluffy and flavorful. Perfect buttercream frosting and the raspberries were a lovely compliment. Can’t wait for the next event so we can order another cake!
Grabbed lunch for the family and everyone loved their sandwiches. They offered gluten free bread and asked if I was celiac and kept it separate. Fantastic.
Absolutely delicious. The food was excellent, spicy (per our goals). They clearly marked gluten free and as a celiac I did not get sick. Tagged and plan to eat here anytime we pass through.
Kell & Liz deserve praise and a raise because they were AWESOME! I have Celiac Disease (allergic to gluten, not just the "soccer mom diet", sorry not sorry) and they went out of their way during a dinner rush 30min before closing to help me find something that would not be cross contaminated and safe for me to eat.
Not to mention how nice and friendly they were about the whole deal, which there are MANY people who are not very nice or patient when it comes to my allergy yet this was not the case with Liz and Kell. Liz helped me decide on the Large Plate Pork Chop.
Food was amazing. Kinda pricey, but understandably so (this was my treat to myself this week lol) but definitely not a place I could or would come to very often just due to price.
Other than the fact it's not a place for people on a budget, the atmosphere is great, location is just off the corner of main street downtown, easy access/parking, music, HUGE bar, all around great vibes from the actual restaurant to the staff.
I will definitely be back next time I'm in town, and if you're on the fence about coming here, JUST DO IT , you won't regret it. Especially if you have Celiac Disease. 🤙
My all time favorite restaurant. We’ve been coming here every time we’re in Steamboat for years. Seasonal dishes are consistently delicious & excellent wine list. We’re gluten free & many of her dishes are already GF. We took friends last night & they were blown away too. Scallops are excellent.
Best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Not a close second to this pretzel like gluten free pizza. Also had a burger on gluten free bread and it was incredible l!!!
Great place. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. I had the poke, and my wife had the shrimp, both were excellent. Drinks were amazing as well. A friend in our group has celiac, and the gluten free option were amazing. Try the parm fries. Definitely on our list when we return.
We went on the patio in the summer which was beautiful with flowers everywhere and tons of shade.
The food is plentiful with a salad bar included in each meal and 2 sides (baked potatoes, onion rings, fries, house potato which was a deep fried potato ball covered in cheese, and broccoli). The chicken we had was really dry, the ribs were fine, the steak was a really tough cut of meat that we didn’t finish. Our daughter’s shrimp on the kid’s menu was the best dish, served on a bed of rice. The veggie burger was ok.
I know the place has been here for a while but some of the basics can use some modernizing. Like so many potato based sides and serving shrimp on a bed of rice pilaf. Or serving the chicken hidden under the ribs on the plate. Just a little more refinement would go a long way. I wish the food was better because we had a nice evening and our server was great. They also had just 2 veggie options- a ravioli and veggie burger. But the gluten free options were plentiful with most items being marked gf.
Food was so yummy!! Great vegan and gluten free options. Highly recommend the crispy curry cauliflower! Also can’t beat the scenery! Beautiful riverside spot with great outdoor space & large fire pit. The indoor area was really cool too:-)
Best bookstore ever. Love love this place! Reminds me of Shop Around the Corner in You’ve Got Mail. Always nice, friendly staff. Love the seating upstairs. GREAT place to sit and write. The only thing I would change is to add more gluten-free bakery options. 😁😁😁 Also, could use more teen selections on sports etc.
Friendly staff. Have a variety of milk options, coconut, almond, oat, soy, whole, skim. Syrups are monin brand for anyone else gluten free you can search and find some are GF. A few tables with people working. Nice big open space.
I got the biscuit and gravy (which the gravy is gf for everyone regardless of if you’re gf or not). The owner was wonderful and came to talk to me about biscuit preparations. Not a dedicated gf kitchen space but as a sensitive celiac, I felt fine 4+ hours later.
Some food was great, some was eh. Our groups entrees were delicious, but some of the other dishes had questionable portion sizing and flavor (sausage plate was $14 for a quarter of a really mealy, mediocre sausage). The drinks off the menu were also delicious, but I tried to order a relatively standard drink that wasn't on their menu and it was pretty much like trying to drink alcoholic lemon pledge. Overall, decent food but really inconsistent quality. Additionally, I didn't feel super great after eating here despite specifying that I needed a gluten free meal, so I'm not confident in their allergy friendly preparations.
This place is a health inspector fiasco waiting to happen. Prices for cooking your own steak are a waste, just go to the grocery store. None of the cook times for the alleged 500 degree stovetop were accurate. Margin of error for inexperienced cook is too high. Nightmare for large groups (and people who value sanitary dining - watching other guests touch the things you’ll be eating with their bare hands is absolutely disgusting). Asked guy serving steaks about what was gluten free and he stared at us and gave no response. Didn’t even offer to ask a manager. Just stood there. Waitress did a great job for what it was. Salad was good.
Perfect for gluten-free, organic, unique and healthy choices. Center of downtown, locally-owned & operated, with comfortable seating and a chill atmosphere. Great for one-on-one meetings as well as cards with the kids.
Small and local, cute and cozy, and nice staff! I got the mocha, which was honestly awful, could barely take a 3rd sip… I’m not sure If maybe I should’ve asked about ingredients or how it’s made (oat milk, roast type, etc), but they had plenty more on the menu, like a London Fog that I may have enjoyed more. They also have some food options, I got a pumpkin muffin that is absolutely delicious! And I can hardly believe it’s gluten free because it’s very fluffy and moist, not at all dense or crumbly, like some gluten free baked goods can be. Give them a try!
Best gluten free pizza I've ever had and I'm picky. They start from dough, not a pre-fab crust. Delicious! (Not sure about a dedicated oven.). Friendly crew and delicious drinks also. The signature mule is great.
This place is an absolute jem. The owners make you feel at home and the food is delicious. The owner makes homemade bread with wheat that is not processed like 99% of American made wheat. I am gluten free and ate real bread for the first time in 10 years. Wow and I don't feel the symptoms I typically do after eating wheat. Amazing. A must visit when you are in Steamboat!
