This is our absolute favorite place to dine and often go here for brunch on Sundays. They have several outstanding gluten-free options and make all their own beers; the Super Creama is my fav. Housed inside the old VFW Post 1167, it's nestled right on the St Joe River next to a train crossing bridge. You can dine inside or outside next to the river .. Simply outstanding if you're into cozy pub's . Five stars and more ♥️
I’m so happy to have found a coop like this. It is totally worth the 40 minute drive! Unusual foods that are difficult to find elsewhere and staff who actually know what they are selling. Not to mention quite a few local suppliers. Organic, locavore, seasonal, gluten free and vegetarian options as well. What more could you ask for?
Rag-a-Muffin is the highlight of my week! I look forward to my weekly visits and always enjoy the friendly service. I recommend to get there early to have the best selection but no matter what you choose, it will be delicious! Keep baking those gluten free cookies and the dog treats!! My puppy looks forward to my weekly Rag-a-Visits as much as I do!
First shopping experience here! Probably one of the crisps and nicest Martin locations I've been too. I was very surprised by how large the Gluten free and organic sections were. Most definitely coming back!! 😁
The Excellent, Charismatic and Fun service definitely made this place worth visiting.( Thanks for your bright personality Nicholas.😅🤙) Just a random midnight snack stop in this time sold me on a future bulk visit, no doubt. The gluten free chocolate chip cookies are fantastic and worth the trip. Hoping to see more gluten free options eventually. 🤞
I love The Cellar! Staff is always so friendly and the food tastes fresh. I have a gluten allergy and they take it seriously. I always feel safe eating here and it never disappoints. I cant recommend it enough!!
We brought our kids ages 4 and 6 here after seeing the Nutcracker. They have off the menu items for kids. When we were there it was kid’s salmon, steak, or pasta. The hostess let us know that upon our arrival. Our kids were very happy with their choices of pasta and salmon. Gluten free items were clearly marked on the menu, I felt that I had plenty of choices. I had the duck confit with mashed sweet potatoes and broccolini, and it was delightful. Autumn was our server and she was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Great gluten free pizza I have ever eaten in the last 5 years. I am extremely allergic and very skeptical about restaurants in general, but when we order the gluten free pizza from here, I have not gotten sick (knock on wood). The staff members are nice. Delivery is not as fast but the pizza is still the right temperature to eat.
Cozy atmosphere. Service was very prompt and friendly from the moment we walked through the door. Sauce was very good and fresh. Baked pasta was very good. Caprese was too heavy on the balsamic. Pizza was good. Gluten free pasta was undercooked , but, in their defense, gf takes a while to learn how to cook just right. It’s a bit of a pain. Would recommend for fresh ingredients with a friendly staff.
We chose this spot ahead of time to meet up with a friend from Michigan somewhere along our path from Cleveland to Chicago. The menu showed an Impossible burger and gluten free buns, so we figured it was a good choice for everyone meeting up.
Upon arrival, the hostess was very friendly and accommodating to seat us outside on one of the patios. The menu didn't list if the gluten free buns were vegan, so I had to ask our server. Upon arrival to our table, our server, Ariana, immediately appeared irritated to be there. After she brought us our waters, one of my kids asked about the French fries and she told her in a fairly clipped manner that they were not gluten free. My daughter asked if it was simply due to a shared fryer. To which her response was to roll her eyes and tell her that it was because they had wheat in them. My daughter asked if that meant they were coated, to which she received another eye roll followed by a yes. My daughter said not to worry about a side then.
When it was my turn, I asked for the Impossible burger and asked if the gluten free bun was gluten free. I got a similar response with an eye roll. I asked her what was in the fruit side and then asked if we could just have that instead since we couldn't have the fries. I was told yes.
However, when I got the bill, I realized later that she charged me extra for the fruit. Which she definitely shouldn't have due to both burgers not getting fries and mine not getting a bun either.
One of my kids said their food was fine, but the other was less than thrilled with her burger and the fries. Two of them thought the sauces brought out were fairly odd and didn't taste good. We asked what was in them and she told us that they don't tell them the ingredients in anything so they have no idea. That was a huge red flag to me, as not knowing the ingredients means that someone found easily get something that could cause a food related reaction. Servers should either already know the ingredients, be able to get a hold of them or know for sure if an item may be an issue for those with dietary restrictions.
Overall, it wasn't the great find I was hoping it would be.
Traditional Irish pub that serves some of the best food in the region. Their traditionally made corned beef (NOT that weird shade of pink) is amazing. So is the salmon and salmon dip. They can do many dishes as gluten free options too, which as a celiac I appreciate.
Live music many nights, so check the calendar.
Hubby loves their fish and chips.
The ice cream is homemade and tastes amazing. They also have gluten free and know which ones have dye in them. So if you need to be careful about what you eat, they have the answers you need.
This place is not just a high end candy shop. It's a restaurant, a candy and gift store, barista style coffee shop and a destination for music events. They off indoor seating in 3 styles, a play area for families, meeting sized tables and couches with fireplaces and a patio with fire tables and a heater for colder evenings when they have entertainment outside. Look for dinner specials like a Crab Boil or Fish Fry on Fridays during lent and on First Fridays. The regular menu, served during lunch and dinner hours, offers fantastic soups, sandwiches and salads. They don't have specific gluten free or dairy free options.
We found this placed via Google and we were very pleased about the quality and healthy options available. My husband and I were visiting the area and found Tossed Togo as a place to me my dietary needs as well as eating healthy. This place was a gem and fitted our needs perfectly. When I was asking the gal about ingredients, the owner over heard and came right to the order counter to answer all my questions. I am gluten free and also can't have canola oil, sunflower oil, or vegetable oil. The owner said they don't use any of their oils in their dressings and most things were gluten free (for example not crispy chicken). I had the Carrie's Favorite salad with the lemon vingerette and my husband had the buffalo chicken salad. Both were so filling and fresh ingredients. My portion was the side salad and my husband had the regular size and both salads were filling for us. The only thing that we wish is there were dine in options. Of course the name is "to go", but since we were passing through we were hoping to sit down. They do have benches that we sat on and ate and the owner did throw away our stuff. Either way, what a great find. We highly recommend for a healthy feel good option!
It's wonderful to have a coffee shop inside the library. ❤ Strong black coffee was hot and smooth. Very tasty! The baristas were helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Several gluten free options made the experience even better!
This was our third visit here, a hidden gem nestled away in South Bend's LaSalle Building. We were in town for a show and came in for dinner - specifically because they offered gluten-free options; my wife has celiac.. Upon our arrival, we were pleased to see the Whateverly Brothers playing live. Not being in a hurry, our server Dillon offered an extremely friendly and comfortable service. I enjoyed a local stout. my wife had a delicious mixed drink. We had a gouda cheese ball as an appetizer, then split a Caesar salad and a ribeye steak; all outstanding. We're looking forward to visiting again next time we're in town ♥️
Terrible experience. I was part of a party that ordered for take out and the woman at the front desk missed vital things about our order. I’m gluten free and we had to wait an extra 30min for them to fix a roll that was initially forgotten. GF soy sauce was also forgotten although it was mentioned many times over the phone. Once we got home we realized part of our parties order was still missing. I’ve dined at this restaurant in the past and have had a much better experience, it’s a shame they don’t seem to put value into their take out orders.
