I am not in downtown Akron often and needed something gluten free and discovered the delightful bakery. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits, it was delicious. I also appreciate the wonderful service I received. I will definitely stop here again.
What a great little spot! They helped me find a gluten free option (most of the menu could be made GF) and the chai latte was delicious. The staff were all very friendly. They are a couple tables up front and more dining in the back. We'll be back!

I have eaten here dozens of times since discovering I am a celiac in January 2025, I have not had 1 single issue with cross-contact/contamination or any problem with accommodations to my needs. I highly recommend this restaurant as a frequent stop as they pride themselves on a clean and celiac friendly environment both in the restaurant and even for take out!
Newest update April 26th completely different than my last review. Order was incorrect. Waited at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes had to go find somebody so I could get a seat. Was overcharged for something should have been taken off. Server was Becky. She literally took a plate out from in front of me and I wasn't even finished. So this is a hit and miss restaurant. Her tip was what she overcharged because I did not ask to have it remade and even being remade it wasn't good. So boxed everything up and left. But not without Becky standing over me for the check. What did she think I was going to walk on the check?
This one was a 5* Went today for a quiet birthday with my friend. Cynthia was our server. A tad Rocky start that turned into a nice time. We had gluten-free spaghetti with meatballs cooked perfect. I am surprised the inside is really run down. We can overlook that as long as the food continues good. But turn the heat on. Thanks Cynthia
An excellent spot to grab a coffee, soup, and a sandwich. Everything is reasonably priced and high quality. There are gluten-free options available.
Ilić Café is a good addition to downtown Akron.
Service was great, everyone was friendly. The food was not the greatest but definitely edible and gluten free options. We loved the game we played while we were there.
Delicious, many unique tea choices, lovely service and fancy atmosphere. The Tea Lady was able to find me a few gluten free items on short notice even though I hadn’t made a reservation in advance. I’m sure she’d appreciate you reserving 48hr in advance for those though 😉 my daughter thoroughly her children’s afternoon tea. It was a fun mother-daughter date
When we went there was only one worker and I have to say she did an AMAZING job until more people came. She was so quick on servicing those in the store. The food was great. The only complaint I had was the food was a little oily / greasy but it was so good that you only noticed because it was on your hands. I ordered a gluten free cauliflower crust and it was amazing. Definitely recommend and the service was great! I also fully recommend this place for anyone with kids as the staff were friendly and did have a show on for the little ones which I personally found to be very helpful.
I got steak medallions. Very good. The service was excellent. They accommodated my gluten allergy well. Good atmosphere located in downtown Akron. I definitely recommend.
I went to DeJuan's for my partners birthday celebration, and it was truly one of the most exceptional dining experiences I've had in quite a while. The level of customer service exceeded expectations, extending from the welcoming hostess to our attentive server and every staff member in the restaurant. The atmosphere exuded a friendly, classy, and warm vibe that added to the overall enjoyment.
The culinary aspect was nothing short of amazing, with some of the most well-prepared dishes I've savored in a long time. Every aspect of the meal was outstanding. Notably, the menu featured a thoughtful selection of vegan and gluten-free options, catering to a variety of dietary preferences.
In summary, the overall experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I am eagerly anticipating my next visit to DeJuan's.
