I came to Jules at 7:54 PM, the staff had 6 minutes until closing. The general manager Annelise was so kind. She ensured that I could get my full order, which included a gluten free pie that is time consuming to make. They waited with me for the GF pizza to cook even after the store closed. I sincerely appreciated the hospitality and commitment to me leaving with pizza in my hands. Thank you Annelise for your kindness! I will be back because of this. The pizza is also incredible but that’s besides the point.
La Stalla is an absolute gem! From the charming Tuscan decor to the mouthwatering family-style Italian dishes, it's a culinary journey you won't forget. We've celebrated our children's special moments here, and each visit is a delight. Their commitment to gluten-free options is impressive, and the atmosphere is simply amazing. Highly recommend for an authentic Italian experience! 🍝🍷
As a customer for over 20 years, I recently had them cater my daughters birthday party. Mo Elabed and his team, as they always do, went above and beyond to make sure the order was correct, including the gluten free items and that it was delivered on time, hot and delicious. Thank you Mo!
I can't say enough about this wonderful restaurant. The service is incredible and the food is just out of this world. We have visited 3 times now for dinner and everything has been consistently amazing each time. The staff is very knowledgeable about food allergies and I feel very comfortable with the gluten free options on the menu. Favorites so far are the lasooni gobi and lamb roganjosh, but we have loved every other dish as well. Thank you to everyone at Guru's for another fantastic experience...we will definitely be back!
What a fantastic experience. This is lovely, charming restaurant, with warm staff. The food was incredible and they accomodated my gluten free diet with grace and a good selection. Our server, Jack was wonderful. We will be back, without a doubt ( and of course as for Jack ! )
I cannot praise this Italian restaurant enough for their exceptional gluten-free offerings. As someone with celiac disease, finding a safe and delicious dining option can be a challenge, but this place gets it right every time. Benny, the chef, is knowledgeable and accommodating about dietary restrictions and prepares my food with the utmost care and attention to detail. Not only have I consistently enjoyed delectable meals here, but I've also never experienced any adverse reactions. For those seeking a worry-free and truly satisfying Italian meal, look no further. This restaurant has mastered the art of gluten-free dining!
This restaurant is NOT allergy frendly DONT GO! (I would put this at 0 stars if I could)
My family and I went out for dinner here to celebrate a special occasion. We sat down and when the waiter came one of my family members asked for a gluten free menu as she has an allergy to gluten and wheat products. On the menu, it said she could order a burger without the bun which is what she ended up getting. When it came there was a bun on the burger and when asked he said it was "a gluten free bun". (They don't even have any gluten free buns in the restaurant). He said he would check with the kitchen, came back, and took away the food apologizing. He came back in less then a minute with what appeared to be the same plate of food and when asked if it was he said "no it is different" however, when we flipped over the burger there was bread crumbs, from the bun, all over the underside of the burger patty. When speaking with the manager she did nothing to help other than take the contaminated meal off of the check. If you have allergies please don't go here for risk of your health and safety.
Lovely place, delicious food, very accommodating with food allergies, lovely, friendly host! I have come here several times and am always impressed with the food and overall! I have had the crabcakes here, which were by far the best I have had anywhere, and now tried the new smashburger, which was fantastic, and came with a side of gluten free fries, and they even had a gluten free bun!
We recently reserved a couple of tables for a special event. The event coordinator Lindsey really went above & beyond to make it work for us. We couldn’t be happier with how the memorable evening went. The service, the food, the drinks- all excellent! Some of our favorites are the burrata & eggplant appetizer, the honey garlic salmon, the sweet maple butter & the Sycamore salad w their signature dressing. The staff were very accommodating to us all evening even though it was a very busy night. Our reserved table looked beautiful with cloth napkins, special dishes lined in gold and white tablecloths. They also have a gluten free menu. It’s a friendly place with a lot of character that reflects the area. Thumbs up to everyone that works here!
Great place for breakfast /lunch. I used to live nearby and when I'm in town it's a great spot for me since they have gluten-free bagels with breakfast! Had a tasty omelette with home fries but being able to have a gluten-free bagel was a real treat! And it actually tastes like a bagel. Service was good, the restaurant was crowded when we arrived so we had to wait about 10 minutes but it was worth it. The only downside is that the noise level when it's crowded is pretty high.
I can't say enough good things about Fancy Fig.
I have had catering from Fancy Fig for events in the area. There are options for every need, from vegetarian to gluten-free. The food is always fresh and delicious, and my guests have always loved the food.
I have also eaten in the cafe. It's comfortable and welcoming, with plenty of selections. I always visit when I am in the area.
Quaint restaurant/cafe with sufficient indoor and outdoor seating. Large menu with varied selection including vegetarian and gluten free options. Food was flavorful, and fairly priced especially for the area. I'd recommend to give Cafe Con Leche a try.
My husband and I were craving oysters and a top notch seafood meal. We found Blue Point Grill in Newtown PA and decided to make reservations for an early Mother's Day feast.
As I type I am finishing my rare, seared yellow fin tuna leftovers and they are divine. Even the bread and herbed butter tasted great reheated and it is bringing me back to our fabulous dining experience so I thought I'd strike my review while the iron is hot.
We logged onto the website to make reservations and it couldn't have been an easier process. Bang we were reserved and a texted update asked us to confirm. My husband called to make sure they had GF options since he has a severe gluten allergy and they 100% were accommodating with his allergy with very few options that could not be prepared GF. They even make GF French fries that put McDonald's fries to shame-crisp thin light and delicious and even the ketchup tasted fresh as can be.
Atmosphere. Trendy sheik and upbeat. a huge mounted sword fish with intricate aqua blue tiles makes the room feel like you are outdoors. The colors and decor are light and airy with a modern feel. Plenty of tables and booths with an oyster bar and a nice view of the kitchen from most tables and definitely the bar.
Oysters: Our waitress was lovely and helpful in our selection of 12 oysters for $46. I had done my research so already had a basic idea of what we would select. She filled in the gaps with her keen knowledge and did not rush us. We ended up getting the special Californian oysters, Rhode Islands, Prince Edward Island and Massachusetts oysters. They came out beautifully executed on a raised bowl of ice. The toppings were lovely. The oysters were amazing. My husband wanted to try NJ so we ordered 4 more and he liked them best due to their size. I can't say their was a bad oyster and we enjoyed every second of consuming them one at a time.
Our main courses were chosen with the help of our waitress and she said that she would not snub the farm raised selections. My husband went with the farm raised Halibut and Salmon combo and I went with the Wild Caught Yellow Fin tuna seared. We both got the garlic mashed potatoes and a side order of the GF fries. Dinners were delicious, and did not disappoint.
The price is a bit on the high side, however it is well worth the cost with chef selections, super fresh seafood and a beautiful atmosphere. Our bill for two was $270 but remember that included the oysters and we had a bottle of wine. The wine was my only real complaint. The waitress did allow us to sample adequately first. The bottle we selected was very salty and vinegary. We didn't much like the other bottles we selected either including their Malbec, so we went with the cheapest. Maybe their $60-$80 selections were a better choice. My only suggestion to improve a perfect night would be to add a better selection of $40 to $50 wines to enjoy without breaking your bank. This did not distract too much from a fabulous and unique dining experience. Quite a party in the mouth in a good way. haha. Highly recommend for a special occasion to seafood and oyster lovers in the area.
Amazing place to have a party. Sal and his team hosted a sweet 16 for us on Friday. The front and back staff all did an amazing job. Tasty and home-made appetizers, salads, pizzas, and desserts flowed all evening and the guests absolutely loved everything. Sal made sure that the gluten-free diners were happy as well. The menu was also flexible as a few diners were able to order a-la-carte. Sal was extremely easy to work with - accommodating, accessible, and with us from start to finish. The space was classy, comfortable, and easily fit our 35 guests. Newtown is very fortunate to have a restaurant as special as Acqua e Farina.
Delicious food, great service and great vibe. Best gluten free bagel sandwich that I have had. Christa was a fantastic waitress! She was so sweet and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
It would be 5 stars if gluten free items were put back onto the doordash menu. The only place that serves gluten free breakfast sandwich options that are actually good. I live too far for their online delivery option so doordash is what will deliver.
