As a long time customer of True Food Kitchen - for more than 4 years - what initially interested us was the healthy non GMO, Gluten Free menu that does not use unhealthy seed oils (like Canola/Rapeseed Oil) in its food preparation. Since then, True Food has made some slight changes to its menus, including the use of controversial Vital Farms products as well as changes to its gluten friendly pizza dough and hamburger buns, however the one thing that has NOT changed - and is the best part of the restaurant: its employees. Ask for Chantal, Yuyu or Aaron - those are three of the best restaurant professionals you will ever meet! Their can do attitude, combined with their amazing ability to connect with customers is the REAL secret weapon at True Food Kitchen on PostOak. My family can eat at any restaurant in Houston, but we choose to eat at True Food Kitchen on Post Oak because we are always given excellent service and shown kindness when we eat there. Every restaurant should figure out how those three team members work, and copy it exactly - as a customer you leave having had a good meal, and GREAT service. Kindness, always served with a smile - and if there is any problem at all with your order, they are always quick to rectify the situation. You will never sit around with an empty glass of tea if you are being served by Aaron, Chantal or Yuyu. They always put the customer first - which is why, as long as they are working at TrueFood, we will always eat there! Give it a try - and ask to sit in their sections - you will have the best dining experience ever! Thank you Chantal, Yuyu and Aaron!!
gourmet cupcakes.
A variety of upscale cupcakes. From gluten free, sugar free and vegan options to more decadent options. The salted caramel and cookies and cream are my choices.
Friendly staff will help you choose and box it up for you. There are a few tables and chairs outside but you’re probably taking it home to celebrate later.
Decent parking, but uptown can get busy.
Very good food, place and people. My wife has a severe allergy to gluten and took really good care. Kudos to Katy who helped us :)
*I hope I have the correct name for her. Sorry if I'm wrong LoL

We just finished celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary at The Melting Pot and couldn’t wait to leave this review! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Our server, Andrey, was so friendly, attentive, and full of great suggestions. Once he found out I have Celiac, he made sure everything was safe and gluten-free — and did it with such ease. Honestly, the BEST gluten-free bread I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Every course was perfection.
The kitchen manager, Michelle, even came by to check in and make sure everything was just right, which meant a lot. The drinks were fantastic too — highly recommend the Espresso Martini and Tawny Port!
To top it all off, they surprised us with a “Happy Anniversary” card signed by the whole staff. Such a thoughtful and special touch. Thank you, Melting Pot team, for making our celebration unforgettable!
Food is good but pretty loud inside to have a conversation however we went on a Sunday morning and it was very busy. I like the gluten free options for the pancakes.
Great To-go version of my favorite Gluten-friendly restaurant 😀 Quick service, deliciously beautiful food, and friendly staff! The burgers are good and come with optional sides, and the sweet potato fries are the best in Houston. Challenge y'all to find better. They take food allergies seriously and welcome you to tell them of your special dietary needs so they can accommodate. I have wheat and corn allergies and I eat my gf menu items here safely.
can’t believe i’ve been living in houston almost 20 years and i never even knew this place was there! as a person that doesn’t eat meat, this place is great! lots of options for gluten and dairy free, too.
One of my favourite resteraunts- Consistently excellent food, (the blackened salmon is definitely a fave) with gluten free and vegetarian options, as well as amazing staff over all. Lu took care of my partner and I and she was so attentive and incredibly friendly. 10/10 would recommend.
brian our server was great!
i have a gluten and shellfish allergy and he was very knowledgeable about the options i had!
he also made great suggestions for my date to have the prime rib.
don’t pass up on the pad thai too!!
thanks brian for enhancing our experience :)
What a great place to eat and visit. We had a party of 8 and were taken care of very well. Our waiter, Joshua, was polite and patient with a family group ranging in age from the early 80s to the mid-40s. The food is delicious, and the portions are as large as the menu. Seriously, review the menu before going to get an idea of what you want. They do have a gluten-free menu available as well.
It's loud and boisterous, as a deli should be, with great caricatures and old photos of celebrities on the walls. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly and gracious. I highly recommend a trip to Kenny & Ziggy's for anyone.
Great all vegan restaurant. Has alot of gluten free options. Plus can be ordered gluten free. Extra large portions. Omg i was so surprised at the portion size . Got spicy tofu and a side of brown rice . I will definitely return. Sooooo good !
Unbelievably great quality food with a massive selection of items. Everything I wanted was there and found new things to love. There are plenty of diet friendly options for all sorts including vegetarian, vegan, low carb, diabetic, celiac, and more. I wish I brought a bigger appetite. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in Houston
Not my favorite but it was good. What I like is the one slice order and even if there is not a type you want they will make you what ever you want. They even made one of the guys a gluten free pizza.
I love love First Watch but this location has by far been one of my favorites! This was because we had Natalie as our server and she was super friendly and great with my kiddos. I switched up my usual order and Natalie was able to recommend me gluten free options, needless to say we enjoyed everything.
I got a coupon for a free pizza (not the pizza even by points but an actual coupon) and they charge me extra for the gluten free crush.
I had use many coupons at Gulfgate, Pasadena and Clear lake locations and not once they charged me extra, I told that to the employee but he refused to wave it.
Some of the Ingredients had a weird taste.
Then when I got my pizza, me as well as another customer, we asked for an specific amount of crush peeper and cheese packets, (since they are not available) but the employee gave us less than what we asked for, so we both asked again for the rest….. he gave it to us with a Bad Attitude ….
I will NEVER GO BACK to that location again.
When I Houston I eat here almost every night. Delicious healthy options. The food has never disappointed. Fresh, no MSG, gluten free options, everything made in house and fresh!! Didn’t mention fresh?!?
Great place. Staff is fabulous. My daughter loves the pepperoni pizza and I did like the gluten free crust margarita pizza although it definitely could have used more cheese. We have a service dog and they are always super accommodating. Very lively place. Has a very good energy and there are always several larger groups there even on weekdays.
My husband got me the gluten free chocolate chip cookies and they were AMAZING. Huge, crunchy on the outside, softer on the inside, & FILLED with chocolate chips which made every bite so delicious. Definitely hard to find delicious gluten free options, but these were so tasty!
Love the gluten free options at Pei Wei. This location in particular is so helpful in making sure that any requests are met, and the food is always ready quickly, is fresh, and prepared per my order. Really appreciate their hospitality and the yummy quick meal. Thank you! 😊
Very clean and well stocked grocery store. It was convenient as my Safeway 4 you card also works at Randall’s in addition to other Albertsons brands. They had a good selection of gluten free dry products, but not many that were frozen. The produce and floral sections were also very nice. The cashier was quick and accurate, so it made for an easy trip. The large Ozarka liter and 1.5 liter waters are more expensive then I had expected. If I ever need more groceries while I’m here in Houston I’ll definitely come back.
My favorite part of my Moxie experience was Alexa my waitress" she was polite and tried to accommodate my gluten allergy needs. Had the steak salad..the steak was pretty good.. there were 1 or 2 pieces of meat that had a little more fat than I would care for..some of the greens in the salad could have been fresher..besides that I will try it again..I've also been to the one in Dallas it seems my experience there was a little better.
Wonderful place to have my dad's birthday celebration while trying the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. The food was excellent. They accommodated for Dairy-free and Gluten-free needs. Our server, Jeffrey, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Mr. Masraff came personally to visit. Highly recommend this place especially for special occasions.
We was recommended this place about 1 yrs ago and since is on our top favorite places to go. We like spending our weekends exploring / trying new things, however we still comings back to this place.
Amazing vibe, gluten free/ dairy free delicious options , very nice / welcoming stuff
Just look to this patio/ garden how inviting it is 😍
The place is very nice, live music, a lot of gluten-free options! The birthday dessert was amazing and beautiful, also the service was amazing. Drinks were very nice, specially the mezcal old fashioned that we got. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the pasta was very good as well. As an appetizer we got raw oysters, my first time eating those and actually really enjoyed it! The location is very convenient as well
This place is amazing! Vina was a wonderful server and helped me find gluten free options - thanks Vina! Loved the snow crab, edamame, fried rice, sake and japanese beer. The decor is beautiful. Comfortable seating too. Definitely going back!
The Filet was prepared perfectly for me, but some may not like so much Garlic.
Salmon was Devine.
Mash Potatoes were excellent.
Creamed Spinach was not good.
Gluten Free Chocolate Cake was excellent.
Note: they are only open from 4-8 PM.
Excellent food quality and portions. Great ambiance. Really good serving staff.
Baked ziti is the best I've ever tasted! Gluten free options are available...however, it's NOT the best I've ever tasted. The chop salad will excited your taste buds, and anyone else's tsete buds fortunate enough to contact this delicioisness.
Magianno's hosts the American School of Gas Measurement Technology's Christmas Party every year. For the record, I've never had my gas measured; but if I did, it would have to be in a very secluded corner of Magianno's!
I would avoid if you have food allergies. Ordered only gluten free food and had the worst reaction I’ve had in a decade. I’m not talking cross contamination, I’m talking they did not prepare my meal with gluten free ingredients.
My bad for taking the risk, especially with delivery, but other PF Changs I’ve been to were so great I didn’t even think twice. Beware, celiacs!
Love JuiceLand. Vegan and gluten free friendly. For a celiac like me they will even clean the blender. Today I was made braver thanks to M. They are very patient and informative helping to make sure I could confidently enjoy a smoothie like the next person. Excited to try all the snacks we got. So glad they sell gift cards to bc this is a gift worth sharing!
